    U are a great teacher. The way you express each word itself is an indication that u have practiced a lot and u wanna make the whole world understand what u tell.
    Statistics:
    Explanation 100%
    Rate of flow of words slow(better to be slow), =>Rate of flow of understanding 100%
    Expression 100%
    Body language 100%
    Overall 100%
    (Because I understood each word that u tell)
    And I do think that u once had a great teacher too from whom u learnt how to teach up to this high level.
    U are awsome!

    How does hyperconjugation and inductive effect make alkyl groups electron donating? Please tell me. I have a test.

    • @AKLECTURES
      @AKLECTURES  10 років тому

      Hiba Mary Lets take the methyl group as an example of our alkyl group. Suppose we have the molecule X-CH3, where X can be any atom or group of atoms. The carbon is attached to three hydrogen atoms and these three hydrogen atoms each have their own electron density around the nucleus. This electron density is not fixed in space and can fluctuate, meaning it can move to and around the surrounding atoms. This is what we call hyperconjugation. More specifically, hyperconjugating is the donation of the electron density from the hydrogen atoms to a surrounding atom that contains some sort of empty or half empty orbital. Therefore, the electron density (or electrons) of hydrogens can be momentarily donated to the surrounding X atom or group of atoms. Now what about the inductive effect. The carbon atom is more electronegative than the hydrogen atoms, so the hydrogen atoms will bear a slight positive charge while the carbon will bear a slight negative charge. This slight negative charge creates an electron density that is larger than normal around the carbon atom. This electron density in turn can move towards the X atom, meaning it can be "donated" to the X atom momentarily. This inductive effect causes the electron density to be "donated" to the X atom.Hope that helped! And good luck on your exam!
