With big thanks to Burning Blue Design, in this video we have a preview of Squamish Municipal Airport - Don Patrick Field CYSE. This location is really quite stunning and one of the best ways of taking a look around is using Taog's Hangar UH-1H Huey in Canadian colours!
This is a beautiful area to fly around and what a perfect base for exploration this new release will make!

It would appear I made a slip of the tongue and said Burning Blue Design are returning to the US which a few people have picked up on. No doubt some of you noticed I had chosen a livery in CANADIAN markings. I am aware Squamish is in British Columbia which is in Canada. The dangers of winging your voice over rather than reading a script and I was thinking more in terms of over on this continent as opposed to US the country. Apologies to any offended Canadians! 🇨🇦

Great to see another small Canadian airport. I drove by CYSE in 2022 and looking back at my photos brings back some memories. They did a great job.

Another beauty from Burning Blue; they really are first class developers. Imagine what it's going to be like if we get the 'walk around' functionality in MSFS2024. You might even be able to have a house nearby, a short walk from your plane or helicopter, with ambient sound effects - maybe.

Happy surprise for this former Vancouver resident to see a top-notch version of Squamish released. Thanks for giving us a preview. I foresee doing a lot more heli flying here too.
I'm a bit surprised to not see anything on your channel with the Miltech Chinook. They've had several solid updates since the first release and it's well worth having in your hangar. If you're enjoying the Huey (well, we all are!) you'll definitely like the Chinook.
Almost forgot - the "flattened broccoli fields"....definitely not a last-update issue. Many parts of BC, the Yukon etc. have had those abominations since the sim released. Despite a Canada update, many areas that should be visually stunning look like absolute s**t. It's beyond belief that MS would just leave it that way.

Squamish! The ideal place to start flying in BC. I like that BBD sometimes get away from south UK ! Soon even another iconic airport in PNW will see the light ( ORBX 2WA1 Diamond Point ). Really happy to see developers making PNW airports.

Nice to see my hometown on here and in such great detail! I frequently fly out of CYSE with Black Tusk Heli. Hopefully this comes to Xbox so I can give it a try.
As for your question regarding the name, when translated from the Coast Salish language Squamish means Mother of the Wind and it’s traditional spelling is Sḵwx̱wú7mesh

This indeed looks like the Squamish Airport - which is tucked away a bit from the actual town - which can be quite busy. Fun and useless fact: This airport is very near to where they shoot many of the scenes for the Netflix series “Virgin River.” Squamish has been featured in literally dozens of TV series and feature films over the decades.
