- Today we take a first look at the Deimos Grumman A6 Intruder in Microsoft Flight Simulator - flying a couple of circuits of one of the new Gerald R Ford carriers courtesy of the "Super Carrier" mod from Miltech.
Enjoy!

I used to work on most of those components in the cockpit.. Radar displays and bombing systems
Was sceptical of this release, and rightly so it seems. However good vid as always.
Use to work on hydraulics and airframe when I was in the Navy late 70s
Thanks a million, was hoping you'd do this one.
I like the view from the cockpit, feels like driving a tractor trailer.
Certainly better than the earlier fulcrum offering, where you can see through the cockpit where a gauge was supposed to be, fun plane nevertheless. Great vid worth doing for the casual simmer who does not want to invest a lot.
Wow a flying carrier!
The reason the aircraft fell on it's tail when you trapped was because the wire was still pulling you backwards, and you then applied the brakes. Brakes are not used in carrier landings, and you should be advancing to full power as soon as you touch the deck in case of a bolter. When you applied the brakes while rolling backwards, the aircraft fell on it's tail. That would happen to any aircraft in that situation, even not on a carrier.
I was very excited for this one, because I love Flight of the Intruder, the movie, the books, the game. It's also just one of my favorite aircraft.
I don't think it's worth the price unfortunately. I would have bought instantly at $10 USD. Maybe they'll improve it and I'll pick it up later.
There are some really great aircraft out there for 10 to 20 USD....
Jon, I can not seem to bind airbrakes. How did you do this. GREAT infovideo.
Never mind the aircraft, I think you may have sold me on the carriers!
And just as a side-note, IF you're interested, an F-18 driver runs the "Growler Jams" channel, and has lots of RW carrier ops, including walk-throughs of what each person on the deck does and what all of the arm signals mean.
I did know a while ago - when I looked at the DCS Supercarrier mod - which simulates a lot of it - since then I've forgotten most of it :)
should be free. what is that green ball?
Why should it be free ?
I wouldn't play it for free personally. This is shameless shovelware. DCS has many aircraft like this, with flight models superior to PMDG.
designed and developed in the 50's
That GREEN BALL is Hideous on this aircraft.... real aircraft is not like this . A simple attitude indicator would have been better !!!
Especially at night, even with the dimmer on it’s awful. Should have an off switch, but it doesn’t
