You don't have to explain your spending for the wide kit for the color. We get it I did the same thing to get the blue..LOL We all love matching and changing colors. I like the white a lot it looks awesome but I figured after a couple runs it would not look as good so I went blue. The truck runs and looks great. I am working on the Sledge right now but I I will be upgrading the motor and ESC on the Maxx soon I love that truck. I have the V2 for like 6 months and have not broke anything but the plastic spur trying to self right it. Did hobby wing replace your G2 ? I been wondering if they took carte of it ?
Try the proline shocks for it, and different tires. A lot of the proline tires are either too big on 3.8, but I just ordered the Method RC for the Kraton 6s that I want to try on it. I am hoping that will be the sweet spot.
Question- was it an accident or did you purposely connect the bottom of the left front shock to the hole on the A arm that’s closer to the diff? All the other shocks, front right included, the bottom of the shocks are screwed to the outer hole closest to the wheels on the lower A arms.
Nice, were you able use same pin and hole on the motor mount . I put max 8 in mine also , I didn't know the max 8 could run 5s , I alway thought that be the sweet spot for alot of my rcs .
Some nice white lettering tires 👌 I usually keep my trucks nice too but I really neglected and used the heck out 9f the Maxx. I'm cleaning up rebuilding now .
I only ran my new max8 esc three times in my maxx v2 with the stock motor before it smoked on me, don't know if it came from running 26/46 gearing too long because the capacitors was busted 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
@@jrollj generally you can replace caps. But I've never done it on these waterproof types. Of escs.. The boards are usually are encased in solid plastic or epoxy dipped which would make it a pain in that a** to work on without doing additional damage. Usually the microfarad rating or μF is usually on the wrapper of the capacitor along with a voltage. Might say "400μF 60v". Look closely at the capacitor, you might be able to see the numbers
Nice I like the upgrade parts simply for the colour it looks great. This V2 Maxx really is a nice truck to have. I’m stuck in a dilemma. The local hobby shop has these trucks, but they also have the V1 Maxx on a sale/clear out price. It is 150 less then regular what they sold for, and 200 less then the V2 Maxx. 🇨🇦 dollars. I’m just wondering if I bought the V1 if I widemaxx it etc will I spend almost the cost of the updates on the V2.
Any body having binding issues in the front when turning? Just installed the shafts on my V2 and when turning right it seems to jerk a little like it’s binding on something
Gear down with the xmaxx spur gear revo size badlands tires xmaxx steering servo hot raceing servo saver lock the rear with 20 mil center 20 mil castle 2200 with a esc No wheelie bar aluminum rear bumper. The most overbuilt rc I think could win the longest hydroplane
Not everyone hates working on their trucks, I enjoy it just as much if not more than driving… also your going to want the hardened pins because the screws will back out, and most anodizing is nearly the same
Oh man. Not even close. Companies have their own ways of doing things. Some are close, but some times blues are more purple, reds are lighter or darker, etc. As for the pins… yes. They’ll be coming at some point.

I would do 20/54 or 18/54, Good for 65mph on stock motor, 6s.

imo, the v2 is a worth it upgrade. The longer chassis is a great improvement.

No doubt it needs shock oil and adjustments, comes with 30 oil from the factory, needs at least 60.

I have thought of that. I run a lot on grass. So I can only imagine what these are going to look like after a few runs.
Only way to drive a Maxx is with 25/46 gearing and drive it to the limit.
Changing parts for the color is a noob move.
All your fancy colors do not make it faster of not break. And those metal parts do bend!
The Maxx should have been 6s out of the box
