This secret ending scene probably holds a special place in my heart since it was the first secret scene that I managed to reach in a game. I can remember the good old days of being 6 and managing to get that last gem, then heading to that path and getting to see the escape scene, as well as the "what happened afterwards" bits with each of the villains. Accompanied by probably my favorite bit of soundtrack from any Crash game. It still reminds me of those nice memories from way back when.
I was only 6 y/o when Crash Bandicoot came out. It was Christmas and my cousin got a Playstation with a game about "a Fox with blue plants and a Tiki Mask", I went to his house and I got instantly HOOKED. Man, we spend like 3 months trying to finish that goddamn impossible game, yelling at each other all the time, but when we defeated Neo Cortex and the ending song played for the first time as Crash flew into the horizon we both stood up and hugged each other in front of the screen. I've loved videogames since that moment... Thanks Crash Bandicoot for those amazing childhood memories...

This is why I love you tube except my story was with Turok dinosaur hunter but we never beat it but end up always fighting each other over that game! Worst drawl distance in the history of all games!!

This game was sooo hard I never even beat it. I was on the 3rd to last level before the final battle but I lost the disc. Good times...

Uh... that 's not Coco in Crash 1. That's Tawna, Crashes girlfriend. They removed her from the franchise and replaced her with Coco (his sister) because they thought she was too adult oriented for a kid's game.
I miss Tawna Bandicoot but she returns in the party game, Crash Bang Boom for The Nintendo DS.
Too bad that game was total cancer.
Tawna wasn't included in other games because she was deemed unsuitable for children.

This method of alternate ending is rather different from the succeeding games. Rather than collecting everything and facing the boss again, you instead are treated to a whole mew pathway to the second last level instead
I have recently completed it 100% again and must say that you feeling so great when you have completed it! :D Because this is still the hardest one of the all Crash games. :)

Two things suggest this ending is non cannon. Crash 2 begins with Cortex falling from his fortress, ruling out the possibility of Crash avoiding the final battle and sneaking Tawna out. Also, according to Ripper Roo's part in the ending, his insanity was fixed with therapy. However, in Crash 2, he is still crazy.
Yeah, most of the character’s fates after the events of the game is just plain bullshit, since it makes them look like they’re living in the real world instead of on an island. Cortex’s ending is perhaps the only one that is canon to the story

that's kind of the point there, though I think a mix of both endings is the true canon; Crash rescues Tawna at the great hall, but he tells her to drop him off on the blimp, so he can confront Cortex as the castle goes up in flames from the TNT (and implied Nitro crates) that got set off from Monster N. Brio causing the castle to shake. after Crash defeats Cortex, Tawna flies back and lands on the blimp to congratulate Crash on his victory and they ride the blimp into the sunset.
@@iam4026 Crash 2 pretty much confirms that, since it literally starts directly after Cortex falls off his glider when Crash defeated him.
@@neo-warkid4edwards222 I actually remember seeing a comment similar to this years ago, with it also saying that it being a combo of both also explains why Uka Uka says Cortex lost both the gems and the crystals at the start of Crash 3.

I love the satisfaction of getting all the gems and saving Tawna. There was that sense of accomplishment from all that hard work you put in. I know there is no point system or unlockables. That is my opinion =).

When it comes to Mortal Kombat, I favored the Classics, mainly Trilogy for Playstation 1. Never was interested in the newer ones xD.

I dont get this, The intro to crash bandicoot 2 is that cortex falls down from the airship.
when you escape with this chick, you never defeat him, so how does the story continue=?
This is the secret, non-canon ending (ie not the true ending). It's just an inconsequential bonus ending. The canon, or true ending, is when you beat Cortex, making him fall from the sky, starting the events of Crash 2.
But what was told about the bosses is canon becuase it would happen anyway its just a nice bonus to know what happened yo them

Crash dropped off his chick to safety before returning to the castle to finish off Cortex.
She was cut from the game due to her being viewed as a sexualized character in a kids game and so Naughty Dog completely removed her from the games universe in all future games.

NOT CANON
The best storyline is like this:
Crash 1 - no gems, so they can be collected in Crash 2.
Crash 2 - all gems and crystals are collected.
Crash 3 - We travel through time, so the gems and crystals can be collected a second time.
this isn't canon guy, the other games never happen in this alternative reality because cortex never fall in the cave, so never found the crystal and consequently uka uka never escaped. i think they call this butterfly effect

Yes, and... I dont know what you guys think, but I don't like Coco in Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped and neither her appearances in Crash Bandicoot 2 - Cortex Strikes Back.
