Brio was never actually evil, Cortex kinda pushed him into it. And due to Brio's introverted personality and low self-esteem, Cortex always took the credit for his achievements.....he got his revenge!
N.Gin wasn't really bad either......the missile gave him head trauma and messed him up mentally. Also possibly suffering from Stockholm Syndrome from being with Cortex.
Poor N.Gin he didn't deserve to become Cortex's sad little igor.

The gems in this game are so satisfying. Love how they stood out when you found one. One of the best collectibles in any game.
2:14 and with that action of overkill (cortex was already beaten so blasting his space center was unnecessary) Crash inadvertently caused the release of Uka Uka and brought danger to the earth yet again.

Crash 1's alternate ending really WAS an alternate, non canon, secret ending. But in Crash 2 and 3, the "alternate" endings were actually the true endings.
I mean, the alternate ending was just Crash leaving with Tawna and fleeing from Cortex.
Same goes for CTR and Wrath of Cortex. And CNK, Huge Adventure, N-Tranced, I could go on.
Would i just give to see that get redone in hd glory,we need that kind of crash to come back im soooooo about going from warproom to warproom in an all new fresh adventure (DONE THE RIGHT WAY!!!)searching for hidden gems and getting all three masks finally just to fall in a hole immediately after to hear the sound of crash falling saying"WOOOAAAHHHH" and seeing the dreaded game over screen!!also having not saved.i dont care id do it again just to have crash back.

Yea i did end up playing only to be mostly disappointed and really its only because for some reason the new ones dont handle as well with the controls if ya know what i mean its like hard to explain.also i find it weird how the real final boss of 3 has still not been found or revealed when the remastereds were in process of being remade.
Idk if I'd call this ending "secret".

I started my career of playing videogames with Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. I was about 3-4 years old when I started to play games. Classics I say. When I was younger playing Crash Bandicoot 2 I really didn't care about getting 100%. Years later, last year to be exact, I bought and downloaded this game to my psp. I played that game so much to finally get that 100%. I died so many times i just felt like breaking my psp out of rage, but eventually, I did it, and boy was it satisfying. :)

If crash bandicoot ever got into smash, this would be a perfect final smash to go along with him.

Ok call me stupid but, i used to think that when i was little, it was Crash 1, Crash Team Racing, then Crash Warped... I honestly never knew of this game's existence, my mind was blown
the genius behind the music.....coming up with the harpsichord melodies and bass lines
Do you notice that Cortex's space station model is actually built from the Evolvo-Ray and Cortex Vortex models from Crash 1. (See Crash 1 intro video)
It was a great challenge to collect all the gems after the player had collected the crystals. I always thought there should be a second fight against Dr. Cortex after you've collected everything. This secret ending is okay but there's no one to control Cortex Vortex anyway, because Crash defeated Cortex and he was blasted off to space. My theory is that maybe the idea of blowing up Cortex Vortex was all about "just in case if Dr. Cortex comes back".
you didnt got that this was just a parody of Star Wars in Crash Universum, but to the point. Everybody knew that Cortex is alive, because he is the main-evil there! - there was no "just in case[...]" :D

Does anyone notice that the surrounding of the laser show is near, the 6th platform(the secret platform you enter the levels of getting the hidden crates and red gem)
After the Game is 100% Complete, Their's nothing else to do besides play the levels all over again and Keep making it to the goal!

What I don't understand is how the hell cortex survived the cortex vortex being exploded with him in it that doesn't make any sense

What I don't get about this is: on Bandipedia (crash wiki page) it says that the islands are called the Tasmanian Islands and are off the south-east coast of Australia i.e. near Tasmania, but at 2:13 the laser is coming from up above the north-east coast near Papua New Guinea.

One thing I never understood was if Brio was ever good or bad. On the 1st game he appears as a boss so I assumed he was bad (stressing "was"). But on the 2nd game he allies on this ending with the Bandicoots.

Well brio was actually evil
He returned in later games as part of uka uka s team in crash bash and in twinsanity as n tropy s sidekick and in mind over mutant again reunited with cortex as allies so he was evil and cortex didn't push him into it
Also brio was a student together with n gin ans cortex at madame amberley s academy ov evil
So I think n brio was evil his only motive for revenge on cortex is cause he was replaced by n gin as cortex s sidekick in crash 2
So he was jealous not good
I have 41/42 gems and am I at 99% which one am I missing? I got all the gems in the secret warped areas and everything looks complete-plz tell me where to go to get the last clear gem
I guess bartending didn't work out for N. Brio. Oh well. At least his future in Super-Science isn't for evil.

I'm not sure the reason why, but N. Brio told Crash that Cortex apparently betrayed him and wants revenge on Cortex
That platform they are on is the secret Warp Room, so could this same platform in the middle of the ocean with a brick design be the main Warp Room in the third game?? ;:^)

The platform they are on is Cortex Castle due to the N banners

I did 100% this game, and now I can only do it on my PS2. I don't even have a memory card fml
Is not a secret ending, is the good ending. Coco and N. Brio tells you dont recolect the cristals, N. Brio tells you: Recollect the gems. When you recollect the gems, this final ocurred, when you recollect the cristals. You obtain the Bad Final, and battle whit Cortex.
i just finished this game! but if thats the secret ending you get for 100%, no way am i wasting my time collecting gems for that!

Dammit now I actually want to 100% this game. Hell will ensue upon my PlayStation 4, no matter how nice the HD remake is, these games are still difficult! (Except for Crash Warped, that is toned down a bit)

The Uncharted Series is great as well as Crash Bandicoot. But you are forgetting one problem, Activision owns the right to Crash Bandicoot now thus Naughty Dog can't make another Crash game without getting the rights back thus Crash is sadly dead now (Activision ruined him by making him look like shit.).
