Doesn’t anyone else wish they had a best friend that you can talk to about books you are currently reading and they actually find it interesting and a best friend that can recommend books to you and they can borrow books from you and you can borrow from them? Don’t you wish you had a best friend who reads the same books as you so you both can gush over the characters and predict what’s going to happen next in the story?
It's so refreshing to see someone not have the same books everyone else has. I love lots of the YA series other people cover, but I also adore classic lit (and so many other kinds), so it's great to see other genres represented.
I love that you read different genres and books that aren't necessarily trendy on booktube, it reflects a different approach to literature that you don't often find on youtube. It's so comforting and refreshing, it really feels like talking to a friend about books!
Finally a bookshelf that looks like the books have been read. Too many bookshelfs on UA-cam and Instagram look props for a photo shoot and never actually read.

I have a lot of books, just like you. I always tell myself: a book already read is enthralled when it’s open. After I finish every book, I just want the whole world to read them. My cousin asked me if she can barrow my book, I told her: a book is supposed to be read and the reader is supposed to be fascinated, so ofc I let her barrow it. The amazing aspects of a book are truly worthy. Thank you for the tour!

Wow this honestly reminded me of my grandpas study back in Nepal. It was a decent room , just one out of the 6 rooms in the house. The house is located on a mountain so it's very cold half of the time. But my grandpas study room had a big shelf containing all kinds of books from recent novels to Sets from The Hercule Poirot series. There were two sofas and a sherpa wool carpet all around. The room had some crazy insulation all around and one window through which you could see the trees. It was a warm and cosy room for harsh Nepali winters. I used to spend hours there after lunch just soaked in the novels until I was summoned for dinner. ah good times.

I don´t know if you know it, but the best quote that I have ever read about books is the one of Barbara Tuchman: “Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill. Without books, the development of civilization would have been impossible. They are engines of change (as the poet said), windows on the world and lighthouses erected in the sea of time. They are companions, teachers, magicians, bankers of the treasures of the mind. Books are humanity in print.” Pure poetry. It would be great to put that in a frame.
so true. At some moment I was interested in soiaf and after a second book I thought "I don't want to continue until at least the winds of winter come up". I think if I continue to read I may be not able to stop and I don't want to stop because there is no continuation. I have stopped but I know that I can continue. I don't want to be stopped because there is nothing further.
Was pumped when I saw books I have read, your collection is amazing, there's so much books to read.... Was a little disappointed I didn't see Victor Hugo🤭

It would be great to put that in a frame.
then again, she was a writer of history so perhaps there's some bias? idk
so true. At some moment I was interested in soiaf and after a second book I thought "I don't want to continue until at least the winds of winter come up". I think if I continue to read I may be not able to stop and I don't want to stop because there is no continuation. I have stopped but I know that I can continue. I don't want to be stopped because there is nothing further.
we have always lived in the castle is the book that got me back into reading!!!
