This video shows the #1 thing to watch out in classic cars is rust. Everyone checks if the engine is fine but you can rebuild or find another engine. You can retrim the seats. But rust even if repaired this well, is still gonna come back. Not to mention the car structurally is never the same.

Understood. After all the great metal work and bondo, this car is more sculpture than car. But it looks really nice. There are certainly cars on YT that get much more metal work. Not complaining.

if you keep rustproofing it then it should be fine. rust wont have a chance to grow but it has to be sprayed on the inside too.

I've watched several of these 911 restoration videos,
and it seem to me that there are 3rd party manufacturers who make every sheet metal panels for 911.
so, it maybe possible to weld together a brand new 911 body using those panels?
who knows how good the quality of the metal is, but seems possible.

rust and deal with what was left over
