I just made up a GH2 recently of bit and bobs and yeah definitely a hoot to mess around with!
I seem to love the GH2 more and more these days! I had a black edition a few yeas ago and yes had great fun with it but moved it on pretty quickly it just didn't hold my interest for long l felt no connection to it in a nostalgic way! The GH2 was so overshadowed by the original Grasshoppers fame and success back in the day and by the time the GH2 was released, was it 1988 l believe? They were so many decent tamiyas around at not a huge amount more money l think back in the day the GH2 missed the boat some what! I could be wrong? Put me straight guys if you remember different??
But now in this modern era its like becoming a bit of a budget favourite of mine!
Then l only knew about this buggies story for a year or so back then as by late 1989 l was completely out of the hobby! So it is in a way like a new buggy to me really l surpose when l returned to the hobby in 2008 if you get any of this waffle l am saying! Its a like most of the 90s early 2000 cars are new to me this second time around in the hobby! and coming back into the hobby in 2008 l never really took to the GH2 as l remember it being an also ran! Nothing at all special or memorable a bit of a flop and a disappointment you cold say! in what for me was the end of the golden era in RC too! But for some the 90s was a new successful era but l was busy running after girls at this point!
Sorry Dom it happens every now and then l just can't shut up and sadly its you who gets it this time!

Basic Tamiya simplicity at its finest Dom!
I'd take one of these over most of their modern over engineered, complicated slop machines any day!
Kicking up some lovely sand clouds there as she bounces along, and nearly always lands on her feet after a flip and tumble!
