I never built a Grasshopper (either 1 or 2) because I don’t like friction dampers, they were on the front of my Frog and I never bought another model with them. I am intrigued by the fact that the Black Edition has oil dampers. My favorite memory of RC was my first car. I built it in 1980 while living in the Navy barracks on the ASW base in San Diego, it was an original Rough Rider complete with mechanical speed controller and a separate battery pack for the receiver (no BECs back then). It was a hoot and got me hooked on the RC hobby.

That's awesome Steven...They have come so far with their designs since the Grasshopper/Hornet...but it's still fun to build them and watch them hop around in the dirt.
