Amazon delivered the new torque tuned motor today. Installed it and it clearly has more speed and power. Even off road it's faster. I Was going to change to an 18 tooth pinion gear but I'm not sure I want it to go any faster than it is now. Will wait and see.

Great race! Love both of these legends. Not quite a fair race though, considering the Hopper has a 380 motor and the Hornet has a 540. But nonetheless, awesome!! I had both of these cars as a kid!

Loved the Grasshopper because it was the underdog compared to the more powerful Hornet. The Grasshopper was more stylish and cheaper than the Hornet so it always appealed to me more. My friend at the time boasted that his Hornet was faster but I didn't care.

I could swear as a kid Grasshopper was 4wd.

Sorry guy's but that one was kind of sucky boring, I consider both of those kits as toy grade

I don't think of the Hotshot line up as siblings the Hotshot is the father of the team and the Hotshot II and the Super Hotshot are the offspring, then you have the Block Head motors version I guess that's the nephew!!!
