This is how the 19 should have been. Even thought the p10c is similar in size, it is much more comfortable and confidence inspiring in my hands because of the extra half inch or so of back strap.
I love the profile of the 17 grip but agree it's too long for my taste. Great job. Have always wondered why they couldn't keep the shape of the 17 grip on the 19. It's obvious that it works.

The beauty of a free country is - you can do what you want to your property. Having said that, I could have sworn there was a grip plug insert with an extended base available that would have basically accomplished the same thing on a G19. Do you have the how to video? I prefer the 17 but have to carry a 19 for work due to magazine compatibility. So I want to buy a 17 and cut it down to fit 19 mags. Unless I want to pay to get it done I'll have to get a bit handy. Thanks in advance and nicely done, specially keeping the back angle and not cutting it flat

I don’t get the point to do that if you no like the grip of the 17 why no stay with the 19 that’s why they made it for sorry but I have my g45 and I don’t think 15 rounds better than 17 rounds I know it’s only 2 of difference but count 2 each mag make difference lol my respect I’m not say in bad way I’m just wants to see why? I clearly explain in the video why I prefer it this way, but to save you the time of watching it again, I'll briefly explain.. With a regular G19, the fat, meaty part of my dominant hand palm keeps 15 round mags from dropping free. However, with the tail coming down the backside of the grip an 5/16", it's just enough to keep my palm from holding mags in place. That's it in the nutshell.
Like someone else said on here I don't get it either. Why bother buying the Glock 45 at all? I got paws like yours the Glock 45 gives me room my 19 doesn't. To go back and cut it down to match the 19??? Yeah I don't get it at all.
Can the Glock 19/45 gen 5 slide made to work on the Glock 17 gen 5 frame? I have both the 17 (frame only) and 45 and the only thing I noticed was that the slide release doesn't "reach".
19/19x/45 slide is shorter than the 17/17L/34 full size frame. So you would have to grind down the front of the frame where the rail is..... just to find out that the slide won’t fit because the 19 and 17 slides are built differently

No, because even just a minute amount of pressure from my palm causes the Vicker's plug to push forward pinching the mag in place. I bought 2 or 3 of them believing they would work. Waste of money for me. :(
Robert Williams No sir. It has. My problem has nothing to do with the mags being gritty, dirty, or similar. With a 19 grip length, mags get stuck for me because my palm holds them in.

Please folks do not customize your factory Mags to fit. Instead, customize the pistol to fit the factory mags. The G19 is the most popular sidearm in the world. It would be a damn shame if you couldn't just grab mags off the ground and throw them in your gun....

I did the same thing to my G22 about 6 years ago. Now I carry with a G23 mag and use the G22 mags as back up mags.

I think you’d be much better off to angle tail of your grip slightly where all g15 mags would work instead of having certain modified mags for carry
Planning on doing this to an extra G.45 frame, but going down to 26 length
I did this to mine. I like the G26 length better. More mag options… worked great.

Clearly you didn't watch the video. The tail that I left behind the mag allows me to dump a 19 sized mag. It's not that difficult to figure out.
