Klaus has the ability to "know" a horse within a few seconds and within a few minutes of the first meeting, he establishes a relationship so firmly that anything after that is completely based on trust -- creating lifelong friendship with the horses. Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling (latest book The Horse Seeks Me) is touching equestrians worldwide, with response in fields like natural horsemanship, horse whispering, classical and freestyle dressage, equestrian sports, western riding, endurance, eventing and horseback riding in general. He is at the forefront on working and interacting with horses and is known for authentic and effective groundwork according to the horses' nature, often proved and documented with stallions (breeding stallions). He considers the horse's psyche (horse psychology) and communicates via body language with these beautiful creatures. His first book, 'Dancing with Horses' met with overwhelming success. The main focus of his teaching is the humans' personal development and he is the founder of horse assisted manager and leadership training, having trained and coached many managers and leaders from companies all over the world. Klaus lived with wild horses in wilderness to observe their animal language and natural horse behavior. In the beauty of this nature he developed his principals of the 'first encounter' of human and horse.
One of his specialties is the work with difficult and aggressive horses. Hempfling transforms dangerous, nervous, traumatized horses into cooperative companions. They recognize him as their leader, and become willing partners in groundwork and under saddle. The KFH riding system 'Balanced Weight Riding' starts with thorough groundwork and lunging at liberty, building up the potential for the exercises of the High School Dressage (Haute Ecole), like shoulder-in, Spanish walk, passage.
One may say that he is meanwhile one of the leading names in the issue animal and especially horse welfare and horse passion and love, as well as horses in wildlife, roots in nature and animal communication. The German TV program called him one of the most important horse whisperers of the world. Hempfling's professional background is in the fields communication, art, theater, music, study of native people and cultures. He lives on a small island in the Danish Archipelago where he conducts exclusive courses for people from all corners of the world.

I was looking for information on how to deal with my teenage son being raised by me , a single mom. Recently my son is resisting teachers who are trying to submit him through threatening bullying behaviour . It is a false power and he knows it . I found klaus his amazing videos and my questions were answered . Being led can be fun and good. It comes naturally if there is respect and non violence emmited through a true leader who is calm and strength embodied . Thank you Klaus !

Still in awww in front of your ways, your sensitivity, your knowledge, you truly are one of "the last samurai" and one of the masters of this world.
I still feel honored to have been one of your pupils, to get your teachings, to see you "just be" with horses, "nothing more, nothing less".
I still feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to live in a part of your house, to share your grounds and that of your ancestors.
I am forever grateful to you Sir and to all your staff for the good care back in 2013.
    Forever gratefully at your service.
    Léo

I don't have a round pen or small enough area to do what Klaus does in his videos. My 18 yr Haflinger gelding easily evades me. At my age it is not the wisest idea to try to out maneuver him. After a while he will come to me and stay with me for a few minutes, but then he wanders off. I've had him about 10 months and work with him almost every day on the ground. No riding yet. He has experienced some abuse in his previous life before coming to my barn. I do not hurt him in any way, but try to show him I am the leader. He thinks humans are stupid.

Of course, because he knows how to 'talk' to a horse in their language. She does not.
