Here one of the most important bases in Klaus's work - the deep bonding and connection from the horse toward the man and the high mood and spirit of the horse to follow him on the path of increasing strength to become a riding horse finally. A horse needs a very good preparation to carry a rider. This clip is also a first entrance into Klaus' unique way of being with horses in the highest sense of their culture which has made him known worldwide. This video features the horse therapist Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling's work. With his professional background in communications he has shaken up the international horse world. He is working with these powerful, dignified creatures in accordance with nature. The development of the rider's "presence" and an orientation to holistic principles is integral to this work.Klaus has the ability to "know" a horse within a few seconds and within a few minutes of the first meeting, he establishes a relationship so firmly that anything after that is completely based on trust -- creating lifelong friendship with the horses. Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling (latest book The Horse Seeks Me) is touching equestrians worldwide, with response in fields like natural horsemanship, horse whispering, classical and freestyle dressage, equestrian sports, western riding, endurance, eventing and horseback riding in general. He is at the forefront on working and interacting with horses and is known for authentic and effective groundwork according to the horses' nature, often proved and documented with stallions (breeding stallions). He considers the horse's psyche (horse psychology) and communicates via body language with these beautiful creatures. His first book, 'Dancing with Horses' met with overwhelming success. The main focus of his teaching is the humans' personal development and he is the founder of horse assisted manager and leadership training, having trained and coached many managers and leaders from companies all over the world. Klaus lived with wild horses in wilderness to observe their animal language and natural horse behavior. In the beauty of this nature he developed his principals of the 'first encounter' of human and horse. One of his specialties is the work with difficult and aggressive horses. Hempfling transforms dangerous, nervous, traumatized horses into cooperative companions. They recognize him as their leader, and become willing partners in groundwork and under saddle. The KFH riding system 'Balanced Weight Riding' starts with thorough groundwork and lungeing at liberty, building up the potential for the exercises of the High School Dressage (Haute Ecole), like shoulder-in, Spanish walk, passage. One may say that he is meanwhile one of the leading names in the issue animal and especially horse welfare and horse passion and love, as well as horses in wildlife, roots in nature and animal communication. The German TV program called him one of the most important horse whisperer of the world. Hempfling's professional background is in the fields communication, art, theater, music, study of native people and cultures. He lives on a small island in the Danish Archipelago where he conducts exclusive courses for people from all corners of the world.

Inspirational, uplifting and moving. It is a privilege to see the beautiful results of Klaus' dedication. If I could achieve a fraction of this with my horses I would be overjoyed.Thank you - a joy to watch.

What a human being who can stand rock solid still as this stallion enters the barn...Most people I know would say the stallion invaded Hempflings "bubble" but only a master's master understands why Hempfling was able to stand so solid and still as the stallion came rushing into the barn. Life and death in one moment. Here and now. Most people would have been afraid and would have moved... There are so many details in this "big picture" and I have seen Hemplfling move on other videos at times...but he moved in a way that was not sending the wrong signals while still able to maintain his own human safety. MOST people don't know their own body well enough to think they could belong with this particular hot pepper stallion. What a gift! If you think you know what you are doing, watch Hempfling. If you still think you know what you are doing with a horse... Well, then you wouldn't be watching Hemplfing, Nevsorov, the Pignon's or Ali Alamari anyway. There are just a few others who are a Masters Master, but so very few. Thank you for helping the horses and us Klaus. RIGHT ON SOKRATIS from 6 years ago.

Lovely, absolutely beautiful! It has to be relationship first- building the bond between horse and human. Once the bond is established, there is a level of trust that is critical for the training to move forward while maintaining the dignity of these incredible animals, and this is evident here. A wonderful inspiration!

Its amazing to see how the attitude of balance overall is to seek authentic relating that is based on meeting another person as they are, in contrary as to how we conventionally meet others with the sort of attitude that says "I want this from you", or "I want you to fix me". All equal, no matter race, class, species or any other kind of label that we would like to add to the best description of us all which is "being". Thank you Klaus for the work you do, and for all that you are.

I completely agree with you, Helen. After I watched the video titled "The Path of the Horse (full length documentary) where it shows not only what our western/English saddles do to their backs, but what the bits/bridles do to their mouths, I won't even put my saddle on my super-sensitive mare anymore. (cont-ran out of room)

I am just beginning to see what is going on here with Klaus’ body language, and feel it goes much deeper into a mind mind, spirit to spirit connection. I had watched some of Klaus’ videos a few years ago and was impressed but didn’t quite know why.
I have since sought out other horse videos. There is one, Steve Young, that stands out… and I have watched many long episodes of his. From him I have gleaned a lot more of what Klaus does and can now watch with an eye to learning better what Klaus does.
Another one, Rick from Think Like a Horse, who, though he can offend with his human commentaries, has extremely clear step by step logical explanations of what is going on in the human and horse language as he reviews videos or makes them. I glean the gems from both as best I can.
It is such a wonderful thing to watch Klaus connect with horses!

Amazing! I would like to know what Hempfling thinks of show jumping and dressage: after having practiced all these sports, they now seem all so cruel and against the nature of the horse, to me. In my opinion, all these "sports" are just about the ego of the rider...... Wow, I´m sure to get comments on this.....

Helen Driessenh Totally agree. The horseworld is filled with small people trying to enlarge themselves by dominating a big animal with the use of force, pain and fear. Like they were liontamers in the circus. Anyone doing it to any other animal would be jailed.

I'm going to re-start her with this training and try to find a saddle that won't hurt her (one that will mold to her back as Klaus talks about in his "Dancing With Horses" book), or better still, learn to ride bareback as effortlessly as he does.

Klaus had to develop his authentic self to reach this point...Zen is a great philosophy..and Confucius writing a civil testament to rules for living even today.
we have had great masters and we are not listening...or reading it

This is TOTALLY AMAZING !!! It's what I'm trying to teach people about snakes in captivity as well. Animals don't have to have their spirit broken and stop living like the animal that they were born to be to trust and bond with humans !! EXCELLENT !!
