Nick's SAVAGE 750WHP Terminator Cobra Feature *Kenne Bell MAMMOTH* Equipped

- This was one of the most brutal cars I've ridden in thus far. Big turbochargers and LS swaps are extremely popular right now, and for good reason. This 2004 Ford Mustang Cobra is motivated by a built 4.6L Mod Motor, that's pressurized by a MONSTER 2.8 Kenne Bell Mammoth Supercharger. It's all fed through a T-56 Transmission into the factory IRS suspension and axles.
The power comes on instantly and brutally. If you ever get the chance, take a ride in one of these. It'll change your perception of torque and horsepower in a street car.
I can't thank Nick enough for reaching out and spending the afternoon with me shooting this video!
There was a couple of mistakes in the video that you may have caught! I missed it being a 4.6, not 5.4 liter engine in the editing process.
The show that was mentioned in the video "Pistons For Pets" was put on by Modern Automotive Performance, not DBPerformance.
Thanks!

This car EATS at all RPM's. There's not much like a big blower Terminator.
A big blower WS6 lol
the cobra terminator is a 4.6 liter the cobra r is a 5.4 liter
@@rogerstarr4285 yes sir, you are right! We didn't catch that bs'ing in the car and I missed it editing it. That's a painfully obvious mistake!
Big blower coyote>Big blower termi
Not gonna lie you are right lol. BUT, a big blower Termi is classic and hard to beat mentally haha
Man I always thumbs up Terminator Cobra videos!
Sweet Build!
Love that supercharger whine!!! Savage!!!!
Awesome video man!! Thank you guys
Absolutely ridiculously awesome 😀
Well done. Very awesome car
Love my kenne bell! He’s got one sweet cobra I see it every year at BIR!
LAWD HAVE MERCY!!!! That's one mean and Damm good looking Cobra!
King of the SN95s + kenne bell = old school glory on wheels!
No doubt!!!
What a MONSTER
I have a 2.1 intercooled kenne bell. Never had an issue. Knock on wood. There the best on market IMO
Great video!
Thanks bud!
Nice car dude!
Nice vid 👍🏽
What kinda tire was he able to hook with ? My Sonic blue cobra is set up identical right now to this one same blower / power level. Was he able to hook all of 2nd ?
Nice!
Thanks buddy
How do you like that T56 trans? Should I put one in my 04 GT 2V? I have my eye on a Kenne Belle down the line too... and if you have the chance can you look at what kind of vehicle speed sensor is on that T56? Does it have a little gear or a magnet? It's got to have the magnet style for my speedometer/odometer to work. The '98 T45 currently have does not interface with the digital odometer/ 04 speedometer so its gotta go.
If The KB Boost - A Pump Was Added,H.p. Would Have Been 794,According to KB' s Advert.,Back in the Day,When MAMMOTH First Came Out. Comp.in NO.CAROLINA Sold the IRS Upgrades Up To Stg.4 or 5 , I Believe.Had An 03 Term.,But Only Had Eaton Spchgr. Ported to Stg.2. Bad Ass SB,Eng.is Forged for 725-740h.p. from Factory,After That Wrist Pins Get A Little Squirely.
That thing hooks fast
The car did an amazing job of putting the power down.
I can agree with you 100%
Lost for words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GLF superchargers are addictive i see a blower in the ls1 future they make great power for a small displacement but im sure you have been doing your homework you just need to rob a bank likeed the video
I'm thinking power adder for sure. Superchargers sure are spendy but man they make great noise and power. For a street car they are the way to go.
Teksids came in the 96-98 cobras. ALL 96-98's. They were made by teksid in turin Italy. HOWEVER.....teksid did make a handful more than was needed to satisfy all 96-98 svt cobras. Ford did use up the remaining teksid's in just a few of the very 1st 99 cobra model year cars just to use them up. Teksid's were NEVER in ANY 01 cobras. By the time the 99's were ready for production Ford had built the w.a.p. casting plant.....in Windsor Ontario Canada......the w.a.p. blocks.....w.a.p./windsor aluminum plant blocks were in the 99/01. You could have a teksid that came out of one......a 99, but highly unlikely. Check the cross pattern down in the valley between the heads/center of the block. Teksid's have a square pattern, w.a.p.'s have a diamond pattern.
Terminator sounds just nasty with the KB mammoth.
No doubt man. Its psychotic in person. Cant beat that sound!!
GreenLightFilming what about doing a vid on a kb 3.2 mammoth?
My first car was a 02’ mustang gt in 2008. But i wish it was a cobra from 03-04
Dont we all wish we had one!!! Lol. I sure do.
2002 gt in 2005 with 48,000 miles off the lot! 2018 she took her last breath 😢😢😢
What inch cowl hood is that?
hey man, i live in the areaish i would love to hook up. that car is my dream car!
Vmp's are good but their still not twin screw efficient and still doesn't have as low as intake air Temps as the twin screw kenne bells
This is my buddy Austin's old car. Didn't it get totalled?
Hey, guys just wanted to say I enjoyed your video. Quick question though. I've been going back and forth weather to go with procharger or kennebell. After seeing this video I think 🤔 I've made my decision. I'm running a stock 4.6 2v. Would it be safe to install this blower? Also, wht parts would you recommend to to rebuild. I've been to to just rebuild my bottom end. But, not sure wht they mean by that
I had a built '03 Mach 1 with a Procharger. It was nice and I'm not going to say you shouldn't buy one but just be aware that it doesn't make that instant torque down low like a KB, Whipple etc.
nice roads around the power plant in monti.
Lol, I hear they are really nice down there! ;)
GreenLightFilming
We could do a feature on my CTS-V but it’s nothing to special. Bought it last Jan after my father in law bought a challenger hellcat the previous fall. I felt the need to keep up so I sold my 06 Audi A3 and bought the V as it has more potential. Brought it to power cruise and realized it’s a super common car vs the Audi I had.
Anyway. Digging your channel bud. Would be cool to do a feature of the local cars shops around. A vid for each one.
How are you liking the V so far? Tell me more about it! Always wanted one and liked them but have never owned or ridden in one.
You mentioned doing shop features in the area. I would absolutely do that if I got connected with the right people.
GreenLightFilming
Could prob just message the shops saying you want to do a walk through.
I like the v a lot. Different world than the Audi I had.
@@kollak01 yeah I'm sure it is a lot different in many ways. V1 or v2
Liked the video and appreciate the power but I'm still not understanding why you went to a older year block? Yes aluminum is lighter but unopened stock motor guys are seeing 4 digits reliably. I have an 04 Mystichrome with twin 60s built motor built t-56 built IRS and low boost pushes 800 wheel. My 2012 5.0 has the same blower the 2.8 Mammoth
Cory Strickhouser man post a vid of that mystic!
@@alonzokincaid1362 I'll have to see if I can find one lol
The 03-04 blocks are stronger I would say.
That really surprised me. I actually think he's wrong about it, the iron blocks are stronger.
Love the hood what is the brand name ? I’ve also got a kennebell 2.8lc
And it’s not as loud as yours ..
Nitroxdude it’s a 4” cowl induction hood from LMR
@nixidude how much boost you running? I have the KB mammoth and notice a huge difference in sound going from 17psi to 24psi much louder!
Wow....this is a damned nice ride.
(And I didn't know that the '99/'01 Cobra blocks are stronger than the iron blocks...you learn sumthin new everyday, I guess)
Never heard that either... the stock bottom ends handle over 1000whp, I hear that tho! My question would be why change something that’s already good unless he blew something and found a replacement block. I’m always learning too.
There not
I'm pretty sure they went from an aluminum block to an iron block for that specific reason. Maybe I'm wrong.
This dude is 100% wrong, the iron block is definitely stronger.
99-01 is a better block?
I’m not sure about that one, terminators had manly build aftermarket blocks basically good for over 1000hp.
No, it’s lighter therefore weaker. 03-04s used iron blocks because they are stronger period!
He could have stayed on the stock motor if it's only making 750rwhp.
Yeah, full stock internals will hold that. With the head cooling mod.
@@johnbaidas there are a lot of people running that power even without the head cooling mod. You just gotta keep an eye on the iat's.
It's never a bad idea over build the motor If you have the money.
@@luigiluigini9500 also the engine coulda had a failure for some reason they do fail sometimes its usually lack of proper fueling or trying to be too aggressive for the fuel or something failing to cause failure or could be all the above. He may not have just built it for preventative maintenence it coulda been needed after a faliure. Almost every 03 cobra engine faliure ive ever seen melted pistons with detonation ppl tryin to push the envelope on 93 pump gas is what normally causes this. Youre better off to get a fuel system and tune it more aggressively on e85....i think a cobra is safer at 700 wheel on e85 than it is at 600 wheel on pump. Some dont have e85 but you can order it on the internet and you can also use race fuel. Either or. Im gonna get mine on e85 for sure when i get one next year. Id like a build similar to what mustang lifestyle had before with a 2.3 vmp blower...spin it to 22-23 psi on e85 with fbo and top 700 rwhp with an insanely bad ass powerband and tons of torque.
@@michaelharris748 this is so true 👍 buddy of mine bought a cobra and the engine had a oil pump failure so when he rebuilt it he forged the entire rotating assembly again and upgraded the valve train to handle 8000rpm while the engine was down
Lol no...the teksid can't handle what the iron block can. It's 100 lbs lighter though.
Like hell they cant. Read about the teksid's on wickedstangs.com.
They weigh 3660 dry
Thanks for the info
750 my ass
.
bye the way the terminator is a 4.the cobra r is 5.4
Roger Starr 4.6L 4V
Ford left a lot on the table with this car... Put the Camero out of production for half a decade.
Agreed. These cars were factory monsters. Love them
Good content..stupid fucking song in the beginning tho.. No more plz.
shoulda built the rear end not the motor
I think the owner is kinda full of shit. This thing ain't 750 WHP... maybe crank. Maybe. And the 99-01 block is NOT stronger. 750 to the wheels would be pushing those older blocks to the limit if not cracking them.
10.4 at 136mph for a 750hp cobra is low.
So many people in the comments have never heard of the teksid block.
