Bro that’s awesome she moves out.
I have a 2000 mustang gt terminator hood and front bumper, engine pistons, cams, crank, rods, torchtek supercharger kit, whipple supercharger, inter cooler, fuel lines and rails, cobra dual fuel pump, cold air intake, throttle body, inter cooler, plugs, injectors, also did the stage 3 racing suspension and the willwood brake system exhaust headers...... should of just went and bought a cobra but it’s been a 5 years project I’m about 3 weeks away from getting it dyno tuned. Still needs paint rims and tires.
Very nice ! I have an 04 GT convertible with 3650 Trans all stock.
I just came across your channel I'm getting a kenne bell installed on my car next week. Was curious about how it was going to run and saw your video. Sweet car
@@refinedautodesigns I hope so . I'm an automatic and it does have some miles on it
It looks and sounds good! Who was the mail order tune through?
Thanks. Original mail tune was from Lasota Racing. I feel like they tried to get the tune dialed in, but nothing beats a actual tune
THAT POWER WITH ONLY 9PSI?!?! My dear lord I am sold. I already wanted the boost to be at the low end anyway because I wanted to keep the engine's stress as low as possible.
I hear you. Yeah 9lbs with the big mouth kit, cams, headers, full exhaust. Dyno tune. Wideband in the car too. Still runs strong. I wouldn't push the block past that.
Hi, I got a the same setup of Kennebell you have and I'm having an electrical issue like yours. Can you explain what exactly was your electrical issue.
how much did it all cost you starting from the kenne belle kit, the cams, and the installation and tuning? I’m doing the same exact thing on my 2001 roush mustang next summer except I’m getting stage 2 cams and I’m shooting for just around the same numbers. plus my motor has 33k original miles so that should help make it last a bit haha
I got the kenne bell kit off a different mustang I bought as a parts car. I got the whole car for 4500 and scabbed a bunch of parts. Cams I think were 400ish and tuning was about 500. If you go with more aggressive "stage 2" cams, you'll probably have to swap valve springs. Hope it helps
Have a 2003 stage 1 roush that’s boosted with a trickflow 1 cam. Would you recommend the stage 2?
Did you buy the interior trim pieces like that or did you paint them?
What electrical issue did he find? I’m having the exact same issue with mine with air/fuel ratios being all over the place. Very clean mustang by the way 👍🏼
Thanks. I had a bad 02 signal. On my flasher, it was reading full lean on and off. The signal got a little better when the car was warm but still spotty. My tuner tried swapping the ecu's and that didn't do it. Turned out to be a bad connection somewhere between the sensor and the ECU. He fixed it and put it on the dyno! That problem haunted me for years...
@@refinedautodesigns oh wow, that sounds exactly like what I’m experiencing with my cobra at the moment! Been trying to figure it out myself for a while now too, seems like these cars are extremely sensitive to any little thing lol
@@jjuarezzzzz hope you get it worked out. These cars are getting pretty old unfortunately.
How does the power feel since that egr custom delete u did man ?? I have a bolt on 2v just trying too see if I should do it for my car
You won't see any power increase from the delete. I just didn't want recirculated exhaust in my blower. If your bolt on, I would just leave it
Looking into the 2.2 supercharger kit what’s the difference between the 2 kits
I have the 2.1 kit. They do have a bigger 2.6 and 2.8 kits I believe. The number is the liter displacement of the blower. Bigger packs more air and can make more power.
Love the car, is she still holding together??
I am on the final stage of putting my 2.1 with a custom inlet on my 00 GT. Currently figuring out how to mount the heat exchanger and pump.
Nice! you'll like the instant torque. Makes it fun to drive. Yup still runs fine. Went to a couple local car shows. Actually listed the car for sale on marketplace. If I get my number,.it's gone. Good luck with your build!
@@refinedautodesigns Thats awesome, I would keep it man. But then again I am a hoarder when it comes to mustangs. I keep em and find ways to get the next project lol.
Ive never had a KB set up other than my brothers termi. The instant torque looks like a ton of fun for a street car. Does your car heat soak much?
@@spoolinsvt6489 yeah, I would like an older project. Haven't noticed any heat soak issues. 160 thermostat too
@@refinedautodesigns yeah I have a 160 thermostat. What size is your pulley? I’m trying to figure out how much boost I’m going to make. I have a feeling it’s gonna be way more than I should be
@@spoolinsvt6489 not sure size off the top of my head. It's the standard 9lb pulley. I also have a smaller 10lb sitting in a bag.
Hey man I know this is a long shot and you posted two years ago but what setup you running besides kb 2.1? And heads and cams combo?
No long shot. Hard to believe it was that long ago. Actually listed for sale on marketplace in SC. Have a mod list posted. Heads are stock, VT stage 1 cams, and supporting mods like headers and full exhaust.
Nice. U have boost a pump and boost a spark? Mono chip?
Boost a pump on factory pump. No boost a spark. Sct handheld flasher mail order tune originally, then Dyno tune with pcm reflash.
@@refinedautodesigns
Nice.
I have 2.1 kenne bell. But i dont have boost a pump.
I have 340 lph pump, cams xe278h.
I wanted to see if the boost to spark and mono chip is necessary. but we will do custom tune with hptunners
Hey quick question how bad is it on 1st gear? I have 3.73 gears too and my kb on order, was wondering if it makes regular driving or speeding bad?
Personally, I would like my original gears 3.27s with the kb or at most 3.55s. My first is useless and doesn't hook on street tires at all. Almost feels faster launching in second. If you drag on slicks, I'm sure 3.73s are good. Hope it helps
@@refinedautodesigns thanks for the response! I didn’t know launching on second was a thing, is it safe?
@@ecbrixs403 I should say aggressive launching haha. Feels like a tall first
@@refinedautodesigns oh damn 😅 so you gotta bring it to a high rpm to launch it?
Sounds great. What fuel was this tuned on?
@@refinedautodesigns Awesome thanks for the reply! Did you have any runability or tuning issues with the aftermarket cams? I know yours are only stage 1 but I heard of some issues with the KB and aftermarket cams.
No issues. They are mild. Tuner was surprised how well they are with forced induction. Cams are just about same lift, just more duration.
how long has this 2v ran without any major issues with this supercharger
i know the 4.6 2v are bulletproof but i've heard running over 8 pounds of boost for a while will blow it up, then again i've never had proof of that
@@refinedautodesigns this might sound ignorant but i was hoping to one day supercharge my crown vic and i dont want to spend a ton of money just to blow it up
They aren't bulletproof but nothing wrong with 9lbs with a good Dyno tune. I currently have a bit of timing pulled for longevity. Making around 430.
What pound injectors?
@@refinedautodesigns im at 410 hp with the chip. I live in California though. I'm trying to figure out how to get around without the chip. I want to have forged internals installed eventually. I want to go 5.0 stroker but I don't know how to get around it for smog. I gotta do more research
@@micahobaca California is tough. I'm in SC. Good luck with the project
@@micahobaca I went 5.0 stroker from MMR, arrives Monday.. Going on a 09 P71, check my channel n stay tuned man, hopefully it's done in a month..
274 XE cams an tune = 600hp
3.73 gears?
@@refinedautodesigns nice. Looks like u have a 18 inch tire. What rims and tire combo are you currently using?
@@refinedautodesigns cool. I have been running 275/35, 18×9.5 all around on my car with kdw 2 tires. I have been thinking about the r888r tires when i finally get the kenne bell on 10 psi and maybe 11 at some point.
I was really hoping that background music would be turned off while you went WOT. Cut that damn music for Pete sake!
Sounds awesome.finally got it dialed in 👍
