    Hello My Friend,
I'm at home in South Carolina to help my parents with the Hurricane. Praise the Lord, all was good. My Fathers one of your biggest fans. I Gave him UA-cam premium couple years ago, and he hasnt watched anything since. You're one of the favorites. Were having dinner chatting about you now. Drone and Camera are excellent. Be safe, take care friend!!

Russ at time marker 16:02 look to the left there is a set of old steps. Take those old steps up about 50 feet and you will find a small pool with goldfish in it known as Shaffer Springs. Next time you are in the area film it, it would make a good video.

Nice video Russ. I have a picture of me standing in the middle of route 66 at Cool Springs enjoying the 120 degree August 2009 heat. me, my wife, daughter and son in law were on a Harley vacation. There was no one else there and they had a barking guard dog recording in the gas station, haha.

I’m afraid of heights, and I drove that road from Kingman to Oatman a few years back and it was so scary I swore I’d never drive it again! Thanks for filming it so that I could see it again without being terrified! LOL! It’s a beautiful drive for sure! And Oatman is a really fun place too!

I made this exact drive in August of 2019. It was a great experience finally driving a section of route 66, but it was scary as hell once we got up to Sitgreaves pass. One thing I’ll remember as long as I live is that I passed a corvette coming back down the pass, in my VW Jetta. As scared as I was and slow as I drove, this lady driving a vette was practically crawling back down the pass and I passed her in maybe 3rd gear.

An older friend I had years ago (died 1992) started driving for Greyhound in 1951 (the year before Sitgreaves Pass was bypassed) & he said it was tricky for large trucks and buses to slowly go downhill without smoking their brakes and a number of large trucks were lost due to brake failure.

My son and I have watched your videos for weeks. We love them. On Rt. 66 I went to California and saw the BermaShave signs. They were blue and white then, (58 years ago) Also I saw black rabbits positioned on the distant mountains for miles. I must have seen 20 or more over a few hundred mile stretch. Finally we saw a restaurant called the Black Rabbit. I never forgot. Did you happened to see any or maybe they've fallen by now. Just thought I'd share that with you, plus a baby rattler in a caged box somewhere along the way. A neat joke. Will be watching.

The road at the 1:30 mark is in better shape than most residential streets of the city of Montebello, CA which by the way has one of the highest property taxes in that area. Gee, I wonder where all that tax money is going? Some of the city council members were recalled in previous years. Hint, hint.
