The idea of hooking up with a man my own mother slept with is disgusting, and I’m not speaking idly. My mother was dating a sleazy creep who told people around town that he was screwing both of us, and she confronted me by sucker-punching me, and THEN asking me if it was true.
This was when I was 28. By the time I turned 29, I had left the state and moved over a thousand miles away, and my mother was never allowed to cross my doorstep again.

@@exitscreaming4637exactly! The jury was duped! Her daughter knows exactly what her mom did to her dad and what she was capable of. Just because he married his stepdaughter doesn't mean it's ok that she murdered him. That woman said he had her pinned against the counter but she was able to get the drawer opened that was right in front of her? That's bullsh. Then she waits 11 hours to call 911 and LIED to the dispatcher about his state. She was asked how she knew he was dead and mentions nothing about all his blood being everywhere. She was more worried about being on probation and says she didn't call sooner, for that reason, but then acts surprised that she is investigated. None of this is correct. She got away with murder. There are women who really have defended themselves who are in prison and then you have her trying to get away with murder using that bullsh....she should be ashamed.

I have a similar experience. I was in a relationship with a person who would never cheat or do anything mean at all according to his friends. All his friends praised him as the calmest and sound-minded guy ever existed. But he was so mean and manipulative it took 3 years till I understood, I was not the crazy one there. For example he had this habit to make jokes in front of other people about my very personal issues I trusted to him. But he did it so that only I understood what he's talking about. When I got upset, he had an opportunity to play the victim and claimed he had no idea why I was upset, because he was just joking. And everybody believed him, not me, as I was the crazy one. And of course he cheated. And then he started claiming we even weren't in a relationship. And then he said I must take it as a compliment as he hasn't shown his true colours to no one else than me, and he felt so comfortable with me he could just be himself. After that relationship I never make judgements about other people's relationships. You never know what happens behind the closed doors. If even I thought I was the crazy one, how could anyone else think differently?

From their own words it sounded like marrying his own step daughter was something they would have guessed he would never do prior to him telling him he was going to do. So they didn't know him like they acted like they did and are viewing him through rose colored glasses. Both of these people are despicable.

Any child, not just Danielle could be viewed by an adult with bad motives, as emotionally vulnerable and easily manipulated in that situation, and especially, after her mother’s death, when he continued to take care of her and her sister. Grooming Danielle may or may not have been his motive, but since he married Danielle when she became old enough leaves questions about his true intentions for his step daughter in the beginning. He didn't raise her. Let's do some simple math, shall we? Today, In 2023, the daughter is 49-years-old. He met and married her mother in 1996. 2023-1996 is 27 years. 49-years-old minus 27 years, means she was 22-years-old when he married her mother. The mom died three years later when the daughter was 25-years-old.
When the story says he was providing for the daughter after the mother died, they meant financially. She was already an adult when he met her mother.
It's still weird and inappropriate, but is nothing like you're asserting since he never raised her as a child. It's also weird and inappropriate that her adult daughter was fine with banging her mother's husband after she died, but it's clear she was in need of a sugar daddy and he played ball.

Michael doesn't like wine. Huh? Right? So obviously my Sherlock Holmes services are needed to get at the Truth here." Next segment, "Well, Michael had a drinking problem. He started going to AA meetings. Oh! Oh! but not cause he needed help with booze, but because he needed help dealing with Danielle."... Are you fkng kidding us, dude? Get a clue.
He targeted her from the start. That's the real reason he married her dying mother.
