You may have better luck doing the round corner after you use flowify. If really all depends on how complex the object is. Round corner seems to fail if there are tight curves or small faces near the edge. I would suggest just experimenting with simple things first and then try to work up to more complicated things. Good Luck!
That because you problably grouped all the objects into one general group before flowify.... make sure you select all separate objects and then select the flowify group (the one you impose to grid) and hit flowify.

It usually means that the geometry you want to Flowify is not in a group, or you haven't selected the group with the Flowify surfaces.
