Truly incredible seeing an individual (or very small team) build a product as intuitive as this. Tried some modeling for in Blender and there's just a ton of mechanics and principles you need to understand to get anywhere. So "modeling for the artist / creative" is really a welcomed phrase and approach.

@@DaveyBackSilvers 3D is more than modeling and no negativity towards Blender at all - "anywhere" is a strong word and unfair. That said, machine tools and some other add-ons smooth out some of those mechanics I mentioned but their existence (abstracting concepts prob for artists) points to what it seems this tool is seeming to solve natively.

I'm really excited by where Plasticity is heading - I picked it up as soon as I saw it was available! A couple of things I'm really finding missing are a concept of a timeline or history for features (ala F360) and linking between curves and the solids created from them (so the solid is updated when the curve is changed) - are there plans for implementing these in the future? Between the two, I'm finding that Plasticity is requiring me to do a lot more up-front planning so I don't back myself into a corner. In CAD I can just go back and make changes earlier in the timeline, but in Plasticity I'm often stuck with my choices it seems.

I love what you've done with this software. The interface, focus on keybinds, kernel, and general speed of getting ideas down is awesome. I've used CAD packages like NX, SW, and Fusion for over 15 years and I can see where this fits in the market. But coming from a traditional CAD package - Not being parametric seems like a rough one for me. No timeline, constraints, editable dimensions/features etc, means that products that you intend to manufacture and possibly create revisions of in the future will be difficult without re-modeling certain features of the design.. Do you plan to introduce any of these features in the future? or is the intent to keep it primarily direct modeliing?
I think the main audience for this will be hard modeling for blender/animation/home 3d printing purpose and a massive upgrade for those coming from sketchup.

3D Printing just got WAY easier. I needed this so badly and to see the upcoming Blender integration is HUGE. The simplicity here is on par with Apple products. Bravo and I will definitely be testing this software out and look forward to it's continued development.

Everyone involved in the development of this program are simply the BEST people. I used hardops/boxcutter, and on the simple model I had very bad hangs and frequent crashes. And now there is a program that is simple, convenient for my computer, beautiful, and most importantly aimed at working with blender
