Yes, you can, but xNurbs can help alot to make it easier and faster, I mean I have build a Audi and a Mercedes only with loft and patch, but now it is easier to do. Note xNurbs is not a magic tool you need experients too. Bad patch input, can give a bad xNurbs output.
