I have a PhD in child psychology and I am also a mom, kids do not act out sexually unless they have been a victim of some kind typically. Having said that, I don't believe a word she says because I feel like she never bonded with her children and didn't deal with them on an emotional level. She has even stated that she knew something was "wrong" with the younger two because they were born crying and complaining! She is beyond selfish and is quite happy to sacrifice her children, first for money and now for her freedom.
Also im sure the "confession" was a scared and hurt child agreeing to whatever to try and stop being hurt
Ruby, will have a serious credibility problem as her 2 Adult children ( did not live at home) & 3 of Ruby's sisters already speaking out on Social Media that " she needed to be arrested." The 3 sisters stated they did all they legally could for the past 3 years to get help for the kids.

You might want to go back and want to revisit your learning.. While it might be that a child is a victim of abuse, it may also be a part of a wider psychiatric disorder.. Screening from these disorders should be done if kids are doing stuff like this, just assuming the worst does them a disservice and means they don't get treatment..

I wish everyone would watch and have the context of jessi’s interview! Jessi’s situation is scary similar to the Franke kids. I’m sure that she convinced ruby/Kevin/the kids that her visions about them are true & forced them into a false confession. Jessi was living at Jodis just like the Franke kids. It is yet another way to punish him: Accusing him publicy of being a "sexual predator". In her mind, her own children are the source of everything evil, she really hates them.
As someone who was once a victim of child on child sexual abuse: first of all, in children, this is a learned behavior. Either from being abused or the media they were exposed to which is the fault of the parent or guardian. Second of all, children aren’t smart enough at such a young age to realize they’re doing anything wrong in order to want to cover up what they’ve done so there should most likely be evidence and proof. And third if she’s made this up (most likely) than this is very upsetting, because child on child sexual abuse already seems like such a made up concept to the larger public that it makes victims of it feel crazy and unable to get help so it’s upsetting she’d make this up as an excuse for her abuse and neglect.
A child psychologist will tell you its not always learned behaviour, it can be part of a wider psychiatric disorder..

@@Zaddy-Lu The kids don’t always know it’s “intercourse” or even sexual related, my brother started touching himself when he was only 4 yo and I can tell you for a fact it’s nothing he learned from anybody, he just discovered byhimself that pleasure zone and he would do it all the time, which is normal for kids (even tho he was super young) until he started teaching this to our cousins, but he only knew it felt good, and my mom didn’t want to embarrass him or make him feel it was a bad thing so she just told him to do it in the bath time only, but kids don’t understand the whole situation behind this behaviour and that he was putting himself and other kids at risk. He would do this every time he was bored from 4 to 7, he started therapy and what helped was always keeping him busy. These kids apparently were left alone for long periods, no supervision… I totally understand this happens it’s not always bc they were thought that, or molested or had access to p*rn… They will get bored and the trigger will be feeling that good feeling again…

Ruby has already physically abused him, starved him, etc - so would it really be a stretch if it turned out she or her husband were sexually abusing the kids too? Still, even if its true the child was assaulting others, it's entirely up to the parents to get them psychological help. Tying them up and starving them? Yeah no, Ruby needs to be locked up for life.

Jodi has visions and dreams from god telling her the kid has done a bunch of wild crazy off the wall things and then convinces the parents and kid that they really did these things!

after watching jodi's niece's interview, i wouldn't be at all surprised if jodi manipulated that kid into confessing to things he never did just so that she'd stop torturing him. that is essentially what happened to jessi - they said they confessed to 'sins' they never committed because of jodi's persuasion and insistence that they were full of shame and sin. jodi would not leave them alone until she was satisfied with their confessions for the day and i have a feeling this is what happened with russel.

Can we talk more about the dad? He should be charged with neglect, at the very least. If one of the kids was behaving inappropriately, the blame falls directly on these garbage parents.
I think that her definition of p0rn should be considered here. The child may have stumbled across a music video, a lingerie calendar in a neighbour's garage, or a women's magazine, and Ruby becomes convinced the child is evil. As far as the claims with other kids, if anything did happen, it was most likely something super innocent that was interpreted as SA through Ruby and Jody's insane perspective.

Jodi, Ruby's business partner in this cult, did the same thing to other people, including her niece and I genuinely hope that more people find out about it so nobody believes these innocent kids did what she is claiming. The interview with Jodi's niece is so eye opening, where she talked about how Jodi would abuse her and lock her up and force her to write down all her sins, would refuse to let her out and would insist that "there was more", until her poor niece would just start confessing to "sins" she didn't do, just to be let free. It’s heartbreaking to imagine that Ruby was so horrible a mother that she caused one of her children to go on to abuse other children. If this is true - this child will have to live with this guilt for the rest of their lives. Just horrible horrible.

The fact ruby genuinely believes (or just claims for her own benefit) that it is the children’s fault is genuinely sickening but also scary. She gives her religion a bad name and I think she may need genuine mental help, this isn’t normal.
I'm actually curious how the Mormon church is going to handle this PR nightmare.
With an average crazy member, like Ruby, it's easy enough to separate the individual from the organization by stating, "This person was not living the principles and teachings of the LDS church", and move on.
However, in the case of Jodi, this was a professional the church vouched for, promoted, sent hundreds of other members to for "therapy", and made great claims God was working through her. That is going to take a lot more damage control.

Even if it was somehow true that the children were committing those actions, it's usually as a result of them experiencing some sort of trauma/abuse themselves which could unfortunately include CSA.
This is unfortunately how intergenerational trauma/Abuse begins.
What will be heartbreaking is finding out which child she is accusing. There is this nagging feeling that I have that it is likely the one that escaped and as her one last stab at punishing him - now he will be housed away from their siblings. 🙁

You need to watch the interview that Jodi’s niece did. Apparently Jodi had temporary custody of her when she was young and forced her to admit to sins like masterbating and the poor girl didn’t even know females COULD do that (at that time). When she would admit to all the “sins” Jodi would say “God” told her and gave her visions that she didn’t admit to all her “sins” and she would just start saying horrible things and making the niece admit to it.

The child didn't do anything but save his and his little sister's life. Jodi made her niece Jessi, FALSEY confess to the same EXCAT things that Ruby is trying to claim the child (R) did. You can see Jessi's interview on the UA-cam channel, Mormon stories. They (Jessi uses they/them pronouns) were abused and threatened to confess such things. Not to mention, remember how she took Chad's room and bed away for 7 months bc he pulled a prank on this child (R)? Yet supposedly, he's been doing things claims since aged 3, and he's 12 now? Also, the youngest daughter was at the same house as him held in the same conditions... What's the reason for that? She's 10. They were fine to be together, yet he's supposedly some sexual deviant? The witness mom is very likely in the same crazy cult program as Jodi and Ruby... so I'd not trust the witness either. She's subhuman. Just 🗑! What a disgusting thing to say. I’m halfway convinced that Ruby’s idea of s-xual behaviour and videos is going to be wildly different than the mainstream. Her three year old could’ve been watching a benign music film clip and she could’ve branded that as p-rn. Also, I’m not assuming which kid she’s talking about, but remember how her son said on the 911 call that it was his fault he’d been duct taped and starved? I could see her exaggerating her kids’ misdeeds to them too, to convince them they deserved what they got so they wouldn’t complain or go for help. That is a classic abuser tactic.

In my area, if a mom said that a 6 year old had to pack their own lunch and if they forgot it would just have to starve, the police would be called and child abuse reported. We know that child abuse was reported time and time and time again but nothing was done. So, the Utah authorities and Mormon authorities who sent people to Jodi for counseling, are really negligent.

As a child I was SA'd by another child. It was an extremely traumatizing experience and I wish that to happen to no one.
HOWEVER. That child would've NOT deserved any horrible treatment either. Even now, as adults, I only wish for them to take accountability as far as they can and face their own struggles that made them do this. And as a child they clearly needed help, not threats of any kind.
Imho this disgusting person is just trying to continue the abuse by isolating her child once again. Her claims could be true, sure, it happened to me, but it's just a typical pattern for horrific abusers like that who try to extend their control even out of jail. A friend of mine has her abuser and person who almost ended her life still trying to get ANY kind of control over her out of secluded jail (extra security for mentaly unstable ppl in my country) and he does this to let her know "I'm still there. I still have power over you. You can't escape."

I hope you have access to therapy and get the help and healing you deserve my love, because yes you deserve it and you didn't deserve what was happening to you. But maybe such topics with potential re-traumatizing aren't the right place for you where you currently are in life and with therapy. It can be very tough and damaging, please make sure to take care of yourself as the top priority.
I'm taking this with a whole shaker of salt. They, meaning Jodi and Ruby, blame victims for their own assaults. So this makes no sense.

I currently work in Child Protection (not in the US) and can definitely say that Ruby absolutely did not do the right thing at any point and actively put her children in danger. Saying that her child looked at porn from the age of three is definitely concerning and I'd love to know why she didn't have this addressed professionally. If we have reports of sexualised behaviour from young children, we explore whether that's because they're being abused themselves and if it isn't substantiated, we refer them to a professional service that provides therapy to children with these behaviours. It literally is a no-brainer that you get the child help as opposed to keeping them captive and causing psychilogical and physical harm. She is putrid.
Again Ruby fails to protect her kids. She could have asked to approach the bench and quietly explain her "super great" logic as to why she tied up and brutalized her children. But no, instead she screams their business and now anyone who ever meets russel or evie will associate them with being sexual predetors. She did this to save her own face. She ruined their lives.

I know people are disturbed by her accusations but it will turn out to bite her in the A since she is admitting in open court she did abuse them for a reason. They had to be tied up and hurt because of thier behaviors according to both Ruby and Jodi. We know what she did was wrong and criminal and now she has adnitted it. She did a good job sinking her own ship I see prison in her future.
