  • Hey Everyone,
    I always look for new irrigation solutions, especially when seeding. You want to water seedlings with something that isn't too aggressive so it pushes seeds away make them pool in a low spot. Tried the Sumi Soaker and this might be the best solution I have found yet! It does a perfect job of watering with a light mist when you have a newly seeded lawn.
    Not only does it handle low water pressures, it can be curved and it covers more of my yard than an oscillating sprinkler does. So far I am loving the
    Sumi Soaker and I have to say it looks so cool when you use it!

    I am a big fan of soaker hoses! I feel like they are kind of a low key under the radar product in the lawn industry but they are extremely effective in the right situation! Like you mentioned perfect for growing seed! Very effective at getting a deep soak into a lawn also with the gentle slow output!

      Hey mate, agree! I am a bit surprised I don't see more people using them, seems so perfect for that deep soak as you say. Most sprinklers I see around the neighborhood just push out to much water for the soil to even take up, most of it will just leach out.

    Looking at that I think for me I get better coverage from a normal sprinkler even with seed down. I'm not overly impressed.🤔

      Hey mate, the 20 meter one I can agree, it covers about the same as my normal sprinkler, but 30 or 50 meters would actually mean I only need to move the SumiSoaker once instead of 5 times for the normal sprinkler, so in that case it would save time. Also I really like the mist spray for seeding, I will use it for seeding always, until something better turns up at least :D
      Thanks for watching mate!

    Had to throw mine away after a week as the plastic kept on splitting nice idea but you need to be very careful when turning the water on

    • @SamsLawn
      @SamsLawn  Рік тому +1

      Too bad mate, but I can easily see that happening, as you say, it felt like the plastic could split pretty easily.

    Speaking of your in laws, how’s their lawn doing after the renovation you did? Did it do ok over the winter and now this drought?

    • @SamsLawn
      @SamsLawn  Рік тому

      Hey Bryan, It's doing ok, it's more leveled, some weeds are gone and the grass is doing better, even in this drought, but no rain in 7 weeks soon, no lawn is going to good in those conditions. Then we have the worst thing though, the clover! Man the clover is everywhere! I kind of suspected that would be the case after scarifying, the clover usually spreads when doing that but it needed to be done nonetheless. Hopefully I have a solution for that though, in the next video ;)

    Too bad you, according to manual, need to turn on the water slowly. That eliminates the option to have it on timer to start early in the mornings :/ I have 5.2 bar pressure or ish 72-74 psi

    • @SamsLawn
      @SamsLawn  10 місяців тому

      Hmm good point mate, actually didn't even think of that, how to do it on a timer since it's either on or off. Need to give it a try and see if I end up blowing the tube or not. Thanks for the input!
