We changed our water 12 hrs than drain for 12 hrs and repeat than after 7 days dry and over seed last year it took 2 days to have grass growing 👍👍👍 we be doing barenbrug RPR again on Caroline's new lawn in the becoming months Just brought another 25 kgs RPR sport
LOL...I recognize that delivery box! Got my LawnLife PRG seed delivery just today. Will be following your progress. Still have "Process" steps to work through. Aiming for mid-late April to seed. Thanks for your content. Also, can you explain the Pre-Germinate 1.5 to 2X the application rate?
Well, at least I’m not alone in this madness, I went full tilt today mow at 1/2”, vericut, 1/2” clean up mow, and a HOC rest at 1/4”. Fertilizer dropping tomorrow 🤙🏻👊🏻👍🏻🔥
Absolutely love the content broski🤙🏼 I also am here in the PNW just west of Olympia. Wanting to get a Reno done and would love some fireball and hattrick action. Would you recommend throwing a third cultivar in there or is just two enough?
So it's 50 degrees soil temp we need to hit for seeding? The other thing I'm looking at is making sure we don't have any possible frosts left. Next few days here in Central Ohio look great for it but then we have a few nights in the 20s. Some BS!
I need to apply pre-emergent but I know you can not apply that at the same time as seed correct? So should I apply it now or after the seed is placed? It is roughly high 40’s during the day and mid 30’s at night around me up here in the northwest!
Im no expert but I think not all Turf type tall fescue produces rhizomes. They ones that produce rhizomes are called rhizomatous tall fescue I think. I did a lil research about it when I was deciding on what type of grass I want. TTTF vs RTF. 😂
It’s nice to have the seed in it’s own separate container like if you don’t have a tie or when you want to let the seed dry out for a couple hours before you mix it in with milorganite both ways work 1 or 2 buckets 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
Brah, your lawn is looking ahhh gucci 😅. When you pre-germinate the seed, do you or can you use meso/tenacity on the same day of seed application since the seed is closer to germination, or do you put tenacity down a couple of days prior to overseeding?
Great question... for the back back I did it the same time as seeding Kentucky 31 tall fescue and it wasn't effected it germinated nicely, the front was also sprayed the same time with tenacity but I get what you're saying... so far I've always had germination! ☺️🙏🏾🤙🏾
Wonder about this as well Brah! Would be good to get a more detailed pre germ video. Can you rake, hollow aerate, 70/30 sand/soil level and put down pre germ seed alongside tenacity. Does pre germ alter when and how you do other maintenance. What if you don’t have melogornite or humid acid. Can you simple mix the seed with topsoil /compost /starter fertiliser in a roll spreader and roll it on and does drying it out make a difference? By the way would phosphorus have been a better shot than nitrogen, as that’s the bit they need for seed start? Do you wait longer to mow or would you expect strong roots just as when the germination happens in ground. Just some area that don’t get explored in pre-germ videos. Just discovered your content. Great stuff!
Some say every 12 hours but the seeds release toxins that can stop germination so you want to get rid of the water… some also have said the seed water is bad for the lawn I havnt seen anything bad spraying the water back in… then again I put the dirty water in the back back and Kentucky 31 is super resilient 😂😂😂😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥🔥🙏🏾
Yes my Kentucky 31 in the back back had a silver coating as well I just had to wash it off really good for 5 days prior to seeding... if you see in the video when I'm scooping up the seed and milo mix in the back back that was fully coated.... just need to wash the coat off as it comes off during soaking ☺️🤙🏾 I should have mentioned that thank you! 😊🙏🏾
Im sure glad that your doing all this work on your lawn so i don't have to 😂😂😂😂

What's the “vest” looking thing you're wearing? It looks awesome. I want one.
I need some flower bed ideas, you should see the clean up so far, with the 13 seasons of Georgia
I always thought it was Salem Massachusetts

Do you spread the pre germinated seed and then sand level, or level first and then overseed?
SHEEEEEEEESH!

Yardbrah....have you sought professional help for your shoe addiction? WHOA....thems some shoes! lol
That’s already a good looking lawn, how does it get even better than that? lol

Nice video, Yard bro! Why can't you just soak the seeds in one bucket since the seeds are contained in the strainer?
Seeds release a toxin as they begin to germinate which will rot them out before they germinate.
It’s nice to have the seed in it’s own separate container like if you don’t have a tie or when you want to let the seed dry out for a couple hours before you mix it in with milorganite both ways work 1 or 2 buckets 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥
How many days should I pre germinate KBG?
I was going to throw down some seed in about 2 weeks, but we just got a foot of snow.😫😫😫

Sorry.. also is there any negatives to the faster growth to consider? Why doesn’t everyone just do this or when wont you do this.
Go check out her lawn. 🤪 Whats the reason for swapping the pre-germinate water daily?

I tried pre-germinating.....but the seed had a coating. So not one seed germinated....hmmm. Does your seed have a coating?
