I'm curious to see your other Y because I agree the shop didn't do a great job, but the front bumper on the Y and 3 are physically impossible to be done with one solid piece. Inlays are necessary. The only two things I can think of is they used one solid piece and overheated it which means it will fail within a year. Or they did inlays properly so you don't see them.

The seams on our previous Model Y and Model X are "hidden". They were all located in areas you can't see, unless you lay on the floor and look up. You're right it's impossible with a solid piece. At the time of recording the video, it was hard to spot the seams with my other cars because the other shop did a better job at hiding the seams. This shop just didn't spend the extra time or planning or maybe lacked the experience? Not sure.

Fair points brother! I'd be pissed if I paid $3K for that! I wrapped both my teslas myself (1st and 2nd cars I've wrapped) and do not have those issues. Only caveat is the side mirrors are done in 2 pieces so there will be a seam, other wise the film gets over stretched and will come up. That front bumper seam is just disrespectful, no idea why that overlap goes across there. There should just be a seam in the corner of the bumper that is not noticeable. I made videos of wrapping my teslas if you're interesed.

Yes, I tried to be as fair with my assessment as possible. The video wasn't meant to bash on the wrap shop but to point out things I noticed with other shops I worked with. I wanted to support a new shop and even gave them more chances but they just keep dropping the ball. Our current Model X has PPF and the seam on the grill area is as you pointed on the corner and less noticeable. They should have ran the seam where it is less noticeable. I think it's either laziness or lack of experience. I subscribed to your channel and will check the videos out when I get a chance. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks! A lot people are going to DIY wrap for the CB truck.

It seems easier to wrap the truck and many would DIY instead of paying someone to do it. I may even try to do it. Time is my problem.

It's 70% 3M crystalline. The shade is very close to stock but provides better heat rejection when driving... ua-cam.com/video/kZ1m9mfMgC8/v-deo.html

Sorry about your experience. Was hoping they would fix everything. Don’t think they will stay in business for long if they do half a$$ work. They should take pride in the work they do. None the less, the color is amazing.

Thanks. I originally had a different idea but I was on a budget so I tried to picket the “best” that fit the budget. But maybe next year or in 2 years when the wrap needs to be removed, I’m going back to my original idea… hopefully
But definitely half a$$ work. I really wanted to help him so there’s more competition but I can only go as far as my patience and time.

@@sherwinm I tell the kids to always get the best available option. it might take more time to save money for it. But you will get what you want with no buyers remorse.
I wish someone told me that before. thats why I now have 2 of everything I had purchased. Drones, camera's, ebikes and the list goes on.. I know what I want after doing all my research, I then go to a cheaper route to save money, i then regret it, then end up buying the original one I wanted. Im also loyal to my tint and also my PPF installer or anything for my home. Its hard to find people that genuinely take pride in their work.

My wife owns a pharmacy and I tend to help a little bit. I also worked in retail before becoming a software engineer. Now I do the 9-5 gig but I have do consulting and programming on the side when there's time.

Yes most definitely. If it’s not within the budget, I’m gonna have to wait a little longer. I wanted to help him since he was just starting out. Oh well, lesson learned
