I’m surprised he didn’t talk about The County Medical Examiners and the fact that all 3 of them are licensed Pathologist.
Haha yeah those guys are ridiculous but they’re real stand out feature besides the Carcass worship is as you said it’s legit Pathologist playing goregrind with themes of their jobs.
I was just more focused on the musical and aesthetic side of things.
@@wyattxhim Understandable 👍
Unfortunately, that's not true. The band is a side project of Matt Widener of Exhumed.
"In a 2012 interview with Pitchfork, Exhumed's Matt Widener admitted that the band was his side project, which he created "to take the Carcass clone phenomenon to its extreme conclusion"
@@rottingcorpse1990I was going to mention that. A similar thing happened with Brujeria when it was claimed the band was made up of real drug cartel members.
it's literally stupid myth and isn't even true
Did you just goresplain me?
Goregrind never gets boring because of how harsh it is, that's why I love it. I just can't get enough of how gross sounding it is.
And once again, you are very welcome Wyatt. Your reaction to receiving the gift is exactly one of the reasons I sent it to you. I know you'll cherish it for years to come and I know I gave it a good home with you. Have a great time in Iceland. Cheers.
Goregrind is just that type of genre that everyone at least loves an especific album or just the genre in general.
Crazy to think that all of this happened because of black sabbath
Woukd be cool to go into more detail of Mincegore as a genre, like Haggus.
Also congrats on the marriage
I don't think Haggus is a band worth covering specifically right now due to the allegations against members.
Wtf is mine core 😂😂
@@slamfam7621 haggus sucks
@@Tormentor.death122 it’s a style of Grindcore that plays in the style of C418’s music.
Bands like (old) Xysma, Exulceration, Dead Infection, Necrony, Neuntoter, General Surgery, Gore(Brazil), Lymphatic Phlegm even the first demo of Gore beyond necropsy are worth to explore more into goregrind!
Highly recommended!
Once again, it's an amazing video!
great recommendations
Bro you're like a metal scholar
Why was I watching this while eating?
Good to see Last Days of Humanity get a mention. They've been so cruelly barred from getting an entry on so prestigious as site as Metal Archives.
Why?
First Days of Humanity...!!
I dunno if you've heard of Lipoma but they've been killing it in the last couple of years. They're one of the most unique Goregrind bands right now since they've combined Melodic Death Metal with Goregrind and somehow it actaully sounds awesome!
You beat me to it! I've been consistently blown away by what he's doing and I feel he's going to 'blow up' at some point as it's just too good to be languishing.
See also: Globularcyst, if you haven't checked them yet? Longer form tracks, with melodic and slight technical elements. The genre IS evolving somehow!
The guy behind lipoma is such a cool dude as well! He's so involved with his fans too.
@@baurukthrasher2887 Always good to hear!
99% of the time if there’s a dead body on the cover it’s a goregrind album
Laughs in some of the album covers of 90s brutal death metal.
Xysma - swarming of the maggots came out in 1989
Xysma is cool as hell
I love this genre in all its vulgarity. I actually made an album sort of in this style on my own but rather that being about gore I instead made it about mid-century british "food" and jokingly called the genre "Tripegrind". it all started as a joke between my gf and I and it ended up being fleshed out into a stupid joke of an album that was actually quite fun to make.
for more Czech stuff, see Sick Synus Syndrome, Jig-Ai, Spasm and Abhorrent Cabaret
I was really hoping you would try to pronounce Paracoccidioidomicosisproctitissarcomucosis.
For those looking for more, some band recommendations that are pure pathological goregrind:
Autophagia, Blasted Pancreas, Bowel Stew, Disgorged Foetus, Disordered, Effluence, Embryonic Cryptopathia, Exulceration, Failed Treatment, Feculent Goretomb, Flesh Grinder, Gore, Gored, Linfogranulomatosis Inguinalis, Maggut, Necrobiosis, Necrony, Neoplasm Disseminator, Neuro-Visceral Exhumation, Oxidised Razor, Paediatrician, Patologicum, Pregnancy, Premature Autopsy, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Putrid Offal, Redundant Protoplasm, Rotting Flesh, Septage, Squash Bowels, The County Medical Examiners, Xysma
Old school grinder here (47 years old)
in my opinion, the greatest goregrind album to emerge from the 90s is: DEAD INFECTION - A Chapter Of Accidents. Obviously taste and opinions are subjective but in my eyes, it really doesn't get any better than that.
Other favorites of mine that should be mentioned:
CLOTTED SYMMETRIC SEXUAL ORGAN - Nagro Lauxes VIII
GENERAL SURGERY - Necrology
Xysma - first two albums
SANITYS DAWN - Mangled in the Meatgrinder
Pathologist - first two albums
Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition - first two albums
REGURGITATE - Regurgitation of Bright Red Blood
There was a time in the 90s i felt that grindcore and its variants were helping to push extreme music into cool experimental realms. Those really were the days.
How do you like Meat Spreader? Definitely a worthy successor to Squash Bowels and Dead Infection
Yeah, the CSSO- and the Regurgitate-albums are certified classics of the genre. Although CSSO are only part Goregrind (the other part would be "Avantgarde"-Grind).
I want more Grindcore stuff in this channel! Great video
Great content, man. You’ve definitely opened up Pandora’s Box even further for me.
I’ve been really digging that first Impetigo album lately. So much fun!
Aight, this video is so cool- not only is it a well done video about a genre I really enjoy, but also you have an Ichi the Killer shirt on, which is my favorite movie ever!
Some of goregrind music is pretty fun when the mood is right.
good video! this is one of my favorite genres explained by one of my favorite youtubers!
Was waiting for this video for a while
Ken, what an absolute legend that man is, what an amazing gift.
Well done on the success on your channel and all the best in Iceland, a beautiful setting for a wedding 🍻
Yet another kickass video
Congratulations to you and the new Mrs!!🎉🎊🍾
I learned so much about subgenres thanks to you please do more :) !
Hell yeah my boy Waytt. Nice picks on the genre
I really like the band Pharmacist
Congratulations man wish the best for you guys \m/
Impetigo will forever be one of my favorite bands
Congrats on the marriage bro thanks for all the informal metal vids my dude stay METAL \m/
Congratulations to you man!
Morgue Sweet Home by Haemorrhage is one of my favorites. I’d also mention Mondo Medicale by Impaled, though they’re more deathgrind, gore typically defines their brand.
I bought a cassette tape of Carcass - Symphonies of Sickness album in my highschool days and it has both Reek of Putrefaction & Symphonies of Sickness. 1st time I heard it I was blowned away and wanted more, made me a goregrind fan. Cant believe they put both albums in one cassette to blow your brains out.
Carcass is the greatest band of all time!! Really cool video
It's notable to mention that the album cover for Symphonies of Sickness is still unknown exactly where it originates from. Been trying to search through PDFs of those medical books and yet to find it. Also Impetigo is cool as hell
Frr, they are also my favorite band. Great video
Ahh, yessss...! Watching this while eating is the perfect combination!
Pharmacist deserves some love too.
LOVE YOUR SHIRT ❤
Congrats on your wedding/ engagement! Have a blast on your honeymoon! Happy for you bro!
General surgery is an awesome band.
Found them through a red letter media video.
Haha that was a funny episode. Mike and Rich going back and forth over band names is golden!
@@LaylaLover90yup.
I remember a twitch streamer named Vargskelethor did a reaction to that and gave his own knowledge of the bands to it.
Very cool to see Viscera infest get some attention. One of the most brutal, sickest bands out there. Their album cover for their sophomore album was truly the first album cover to actually disturb me.
love your Ichi the killer t-shirt
congrats on getting engaged i wish you 2 the best, maybe do some iceland related videos
Dude wtf, been watching you for about 6 years now thats huge news you’re getting married! Congrats and wishing you all the best mate. Thanks for the amazing content.
Top 3 fave genres for me along with brutal death and thrash.
The most deranged perverted style of music ever. True sickness
They have been mentioned already but I must shout out the one man project Lipoma again. Now that is an evolution. Also, Globularcyst.
And, I can't not mention...Compost - the vegetable themed Goregrind band, with track names such as True Norwegian Carrots, Deportation of Tomato Babies and Anal Drilled By Mystical Potato.
Great shirt bruv
You should talk cybergrind next 🙂
sure
WYATT you gotta do a video on mincecore!! love your stuff buddy
I'm big into grindcore, but never really dived too deep into gore or pornogrind beyond the proto bands mentioned. Another subgenre of grindcore to look into is cybergrind! Like early agoraphobic nosebleed.
yeah a video about cybergrind sounds interesting
Yeah, there are some good bands in that sector like Dataclast, Body Hammer, Blowupnihilist or Libido Airbag (side-project from the 90s from one member of GUT).
Also interesting in this context would be the more Grind-oriented side of Breakcore (like various albums of Bong-Ra or his Death Storm-sideproject).
Man I love that viscera infest album I'm glad you mentioned it.
Also I had heard someone say that carcass was a vegan band but I could have swore he was making it up. I didn't even know that was true💀
Congrats about your mariage, man! Please make some more doom metal stuff!
Great topic luv gore grind💥awesome record morbid listened to them in the 90s🤘🤘
love the shirt :D
hemorrhage from spain got me into goregrind, mortuary riot is super groovy and I still listen to it from time to time
My favorite goregrind band rn is Violent Memories. What he does is basically melodic goregrind, which I was skeptical of at first and didn’t think it could be pulled off but it sounds awesome.
I remember finding both carcass Reek of putrefaction and symphonies of sickness in a store far away from where I live (both were vinyl), both of them were reprints and new, but one fact that I did not see when I was in the store is that both of the vinyls refrences ''lockdown laws'' on the back of both albums. They were probably made during the pandemic, and they listed it on the back cover which I find fascinating.
Also I believe that the singer's sister worked at a hospital and thats why they managed to get the pictures.
Also I refenced Ultimo mondo cannibale in your ''the heaviest albums that you know'' video and I just have to mention there is a goregrind called Blue Holocaust and they made a full length album called Cannibal God, which people in the comments tend to refrence back to Impetigo.
Also if you ever own a cd copy of a reissue Impetigo ultimo mondo cannibale, it comes with a quite big booklet explaining the history of the band.
Last Days Of Humanity is worldwide thanks to their Bert and Ernie music video which was one of the first viral videos of UA-cam.
That tee goes hard bra
I was JUST watching the gorenoise vid and then suddenly this gets uploaded
Mexican Disgorge is the best Disgorge imo
Great shirt
Encore une super vidéo 👌.
Et félicitations pour le mariage
A great new band i found recently is lipoma, the guy behind this project is really cool. Lipoma is mixing classic goregrind like last days of humanity with melodic death metal and its really cool to listen to
You should do a video on power electronics its far more disturbing heavy and harsh than most metal and grind out there
That morbid record is definitely a grail! Rip dead
Love the video, glad this was discussed. You should talk about this fine line that I’ve noticed in Deathrash. Thrash in general getting heavier and more gruesome to what would evolve to be death metal. More specifically when you talked about Morbid Saint and how some people say that Demolition Hammer is thrash and not death metal when I personally believe that it’s deathrash. Bands like Solstice, Pestilence,Sadus. Love this golden era of deathrash and wish that it was more explored or maybe you know more about it
Yeah, Demolition Hammer get mostly classified as brutal Thrash Metal, but you can hear the Death Metal-influences they have and not just the riffing, but also some of the vocal-parts.
On that note, even early Kreator had some proto-Death Metal-parts in their songs. Just listen to "Ripping Corpse" from the "Pleasure To Kill"-album. Perhaps the only one in their discography you could classify as Death-Thrash.
@@stevekramerf242 yeah honestly I never heard of the term brutal thrash until like 2 weeks ago. I’ve heard of pizzathrash before brutal thrash. Ripping corpse definitely is deathrash tho. Demolition hammer I feel like has a lot of death metal characteristics so calling them deathrash isn’t too far off. Whether you believe they’re more thrash metal or deathrash
@@sorinsoria Yeah, they are genuine Death-Thrash.
Hope you enjoy your trip to Iceland big slime
Congratulations on your wedding Wyatt
Dude, THANK YOU for mentioning Porky Vagina!! Been a fan for over a decade now. Suck a goofy goober of a band, but a cool combo of goregrind and DiscoPolo. Also HUGE shoutout to Miasmatic Necrosis and Pharmacist. Such awesome modern bands! AND I have to say Blood is a SUPER underrated band.
played right before them in 2018, was fckn awesome
Czech Republic have their own grindcore/goregrind scene that's been going on for over 25 years, it also holds the most insane extreme music festival Obscene Extreme, I hardly recommend checking it out. 😉
Libido Airbag-another fun OG electronic porno goregrind band
Nice video overall, but I'd say that Blood were playing as much proto goregrind as Impetigo back in the day haha
Hey Wyatt, I’ve been a fan for a good while now and I wanna give my congratulations to you and your fiance on getting married soon!
Hey man, Idk if you already did mention in another video that you're getting married but congratulations about the wedding, it's awesome it's going to be in Iceland.
Love me some goregrind, I just picked up fluids album fluids of death 2 it just got wetter super fun gore
You hear the new Arghoslent album? Would love to see a video covering it!
As far as the more bdm inspired goregrind, I gotta mention the mighty Foetopsy. As well as all the killer bands coming out of Australia and Ohio.
Lots of great Czech stuff too. Jig-Ai, Pigsty, Contrastic, Negligent Collateral Collapse/Eardelete, Mincing Fury… etc 🤘
Nice shirt bro.
gore'n'roll, gore beyond necropsy
Man, Lymphatic Phlegm is pretty old band, they started back in 1996.
Due to the heavy using of drum machine, Catasexual Urge Motivation always described themselves as 'cyber gore'.
damn, I liked the previous thumbnail a lot more. it was philosophical af
Personally I thought it was a cheat on my behalf using Gustave Dore and cropping it on something else
Goregrind is my favorite style of Grindcore next to Deathgrind. Stuff like Disgorge (Mex), Regurgitate, Sqaush Bowels, Haemorrage etc. just had something that bands like Napalm Death or Pig Destroyer doesn’t have. Not that those bands are bad but it’s not my preferred type of grind.
Sick Ichi The Killer shirt
Didn’t know you were getting married?! Congrats!!!!
For innovative goregrind: Cystgurgle, Lipoma, Ischemic Necrosis
I’ve found that pornogrind utilize the oink more than the distorted vocals of Goregrind.
Ichi the killer!!! Haha what a film. 👍
I really like your Ichi the Killer T-Shirt! Where'd you get it from?
wish I could tell you
I got that shirt at a vendor in the Maryland Deathfest back in 2016
@@wyattxhim Cool! Hey, congrats on the marriage! I told my dad about that and he told me, "Poor Guy." But I'm sure your soon-to-be-wife's a great person.
Anyway, have a good marriage! Wish you luck.
Will you be reviewing the new KPN ep 'Antioch' any time soon?.
Hey man, I'm getting married in 2 weeks as well! Cheers to us both, brother
Have you heard of Grizzly Fetish? I got into the project from Reek and I know they have worked together before I wanted to get you opinion.
I've always liked Rompeprop. "Groovy goregrind," they call it.
Have a long and happy marriage bro, I'm happy for you.
Gotta mention Repulsion and Impetigo
One of the most fun bands to hit the scene as of late is Gutalax. The music is simple, a lot of hardcore influence but very fun and a very unique vocal technique. ahumado granujo is know to do it sparingly. it’s this absolutely hilarious inhale snort type deal. I love the more self aware goregrind bands because let’s face it, it’s so extreme and heavy to the point of parody in a lot of cases. I believe that’s a lot to do with what makes a lot of the super extreme metal genres enjoyable. How far can the envelope be pushed? That mindset is what draws me into goregrind and other extreme music.
Kickback maybe would be a good band for a video. They’re pretty infamous in Europe and made some gnarly albums
Definitely up there for a favorite of mine in hardcore
@@wyattxhim Very underrated band. Getting into them and their history is a wild ride, sadly there aren’t many recordings of their old shows. Bessac basically is the European version of GG Allin or GISM haha
