This is one of our favorite videos of all times ❤️ I got goosebumps every time I watch it 🥹 We hope you guys enjoy it too! And thanks for watching and supporting our adventures 🥰
It was an excellent video indeed. Back in the day when I climbed mountains in the Venezuelan Andes, the struggle is real with the cold winds and the high-altitude lack of oxygen. Congratulations into completing the trip.
It seems that Nepal is not only the last piece of pure land on earth, but also the place closest to heaven! Looking at the scenery along the road, as if you have entered another world, it is really amazing! I really admire that new friend, even though she was sick, she still chose to challenge herself again, and of course you two are great! I believe eating at such a high restaurant will be unforgettable for a lifetime! Congratulations on finally reaching the top of that mountain, you are really amazing! 👍🥰👏
Congratulations. Carol is a very brave girl, nothing to worry about the tears, it was due to happiness and a sense successfully completing the trek. I have seen big boys crying and weeping all night at MBC due to HAS. It is one thing that you should never ignore in the high Himalaya, ignorance could be fatal. Keep your ears exposed while trekking and take a lot of fluids and go slow you will be OK. And yes, that was the glacier you were looking at coming down from the Annapurna range. My best wishes to both of you.
I got emotional seeing Carol shed tears! She has been a very strong woman all this time. The trail must have been brutal. I am glad you guys made it. Please don't expose yourselves to such torture. Love your videos and hope you stay healthy all the time. Do not beat up your bodies too hard! ❤
Wow! Seriously blown away with this video, I’m just surprised that the Travel Channel hasn’t come knocking at your door. You guys would send their ratings thru the roof, Chris, excellent narration, awesome background music and mind blowing video. I actually felt Carol’s pain and relief along with tears of joy at finally completing this hike. That being said I’m looking forward to you guys ending back in a nice tropical beach very soon. This video makes me appreciate our wonderful God given planet that much more with the beauty that’s out there. You guys stay safe and give Carol more hugs from all your UA-cam fans👍👍
I got teary when Carol cried it was indeed intense for such a person who wasn't a mountain climber. Well done Cris and Carol you guys are indeed brave hope you know that keep inspiring us with your spectacular videos. Love from Australia❤
LIVING BEING IS OUR RACE, MANKIND IS OUR RELIGION, HINDU,MUSLIM,SIKH,CHRISTAIN, THERE IS NO SEPARATE RELIGION ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB
Extraordinary video! The scenery is amazing! It was so interesting to learn what it takes to make this trek. I’m sorry about the altitude sickness. That sounds miserable. You both are so brave to do this hike. It was so exciting to see you make it to Base Camp! It was fun seeing the helicopters. I look forward to the next video. Love from Vermont
Just amazing!!! So happy for you both. Wonderful video and editing. Hope you are getting some rest now. Thank you for making it possible for others to share this experience.
Hello Chris and Carol in Annapurna, Nepal. Awesome sight. Thank you for sharing your experience with us subscribers. So beautiful. I cried with joy with you guys reaching your destination Annapurna. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for sharing this amazing journey to ABC. It was fun to follow all the videos and what a finale! You were so lucky with the weather! I hiked there alone in February 2012 and got stuck in a blizzard at the ABC. Was feeling sick and the risk of avalanche increased with the amount of snow so had to leave the area as early as possible the next day. Was fun to see it in all its glory in your video. Such an amazing experience!
28:46 That was the glacier. It's covered with rocks but it's ice underneath. Carol, you are such a sweetheart. Glad you made it to Annapurna Base Camp.
The path between MBC and ABC was my favourite one. It's kinda like heaven on the earth. I felt so emotional when I reached there and also felt sad while returning back with loads of fun and memories. Those 5/6 days were the best days of my life. Thanks for visiting ABC guys ❤️ loads of love from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
This is an amazing view, so glad you had a few clear days to experience ABC camp. Congrats on making your hike all the way up to this range. I'm so glad you both got over your altitude sickness fairly quick. You're both already planning more hikes in the area, so hope they're a bit less challenging. Happy travels guys, thank you for your videos!
Sadly we only found you on You Tube a few months ago, you have quickly become two of my very favorite people. Carol and Chris, love and light winged its way to you from Houston as I watched you on the trail. Congratulations to you both and thank you for bringing us along on your adventures. Well done on reaching your destination, overcoming the challenges, and inspiring us. Looking forward to seeing you safely back down the trail and onwards to your next adventure.
Way to go guys, awesome videos, with great narration and scenery. You must be so happy you push through the difficult parts. Thanks for all the hard work you put in these.
Absolutely amazing! What an achievement, what an adventure. Altitude sickness is so awful 😞 I'm from a sea level city and got really sick for a week staying in a town only 2300m up. It took a few days to even work out why I was so sick. Any strenuous activity makes it worse again and so hard to even breathe. I can totally relate to how emotional it was to reach your goal at the base camp. I was crying with you there at the sign xo I'm very happy for you it's time to head down to the hot springs. I saw you made it to Songkran in Bangkok so I hope your bones are warm again.
Congratulations Chris and Carol!! Carol you made us teary eyed too! So emotional! Congratulations to you both again. We've been following your journey for so long now that we seem to know you guys already. Great job!! Hugs to you both 🤗🤗
WELL DONE Carol, you even got me 😢 a bit. NEVER give up in life, it’s hard going sometimes BUT by far the BEST Vlog yet for me. Inspirational for sure. 🥂🍾
I cried with Carol! I did ABC a couple years ago and being from Hawaii it was very hard for me so I also got emotional seeing the sign in person. Happy Travels!
Congratulations to you both! What an accomplishment and an epic hike! So very beautiful. This is something I’ve really wanted to do for so long. I know I’m probably too old now and I also suffer from altitude sickness. Some of those trails looked truly scary and I have a major fear of heights. We love all your adventures and hope to go to Nepal and India in the next year or two. You will look back on all the amazing places and things you have seen and done. Your videos are always a highlight to our evening and we also love your choice of music and your easy laidback style. You guys are the best!
Glorious is what comes to mind! What a wonderful Epic Adventure! Absolutely Divine! One of my fav of yours! Carolina I cried with you! I know too well what it feels like to not be able to breathe and be totally drained (due partly to lung disease ) but I still would like to try even though I don’t think I could go all the way like you did ! Bravo 👏🏼🍾🎉 So glad you made it🎉 well done to both of you Looking forward to the next one 😊 Enjoy whatever you are up to Take care Sabrina🇫🇷🇬🇧
My goodness, that was amazing. You two are absolutely incredibly resilient and persistent. I'd have been "stretchered" out for sure. Congratulations on a massive accomplishment. You DID IT!!!
I also cried watching this video! It’s so inspirational and we could all see how hard it was to reach the final stage. Thanks for showing us this journey, it was definitely amazing to watch it!
Beautiful, breathtaking and yes… emotional! In your young years you have lived and done things that most people can never do in an entire lifetime. Much love and respect for you both Carole and Chris ❤
Wow!!! Emotional for us too!! I somehow managed not to cry when Carol cried, but when she smiled and raised her arm at the ABC sign I teared up. 🥹 Such a beautiful, wonderful video! Thank you!! 🥰🙏
Bravo both of you! My heart was breaking seeing Carol in pain, struggling at the end. Like, you're so close! Please don't give up! And you didn't! A real inspiration to us couch surfers living vicariously thru your incredible adventure. Well, well done!
What an accomplishment. Congratulations! I did ABC same time last year. The elevation is no joke, but the Himalayas are life-changing. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Yayyy way to go bravest couple! Congratulations Chris and Carol. Such an accomplishment, big hugs to Carol, I feel you girl! Tears of joy and outstanding endurance! You did it, please don’t don’t do this again. It’s hard on Carol’s knees and back. Now, go to Bali! Enjoy the warm weather, soak up the sun, you deserve it both! Love from TX!🥰😍🤗
Hiya Carol and Chris. The scenery is so beautiful. Amazing views. You guys are my favorite UA-cam couple. I wish you more subscribers. Your channel is so underrated. Great video. Love watching your adventures. Taking me to places I will never visit. The views are insane. Sorry to hear you both had some sickness. That trek was insane. I wanted to hug you, Carol. Love to you both. Amazing video. Liked. Shared. As always. Thank you. Love your videos. Look forward to the next one. 🥰
Thank you for this video, it was beautiful. I've been to EBC back in 2016 and it was a very hard trek and also had a bout with altitude sickness but managed to get to the base camp. Like Carol, it took me a while soaking in all the emotions before I could properly speak. Thank you again for this. Looking forward to your return trek, a super fun part since you're going to feel much better at lower altitudes, a new appreciation for normal breathing and warm baths 😅
When Carol started to cry I totally understood. I felt it. But my favourite part was near the end when Carol looked at the helicopter landing and laughed! Congrats!
I must say this series of episodes is the most spectacular I have ever watched. You two have absolutely outdone yourselves this time. How are you going to top this for next time???
Stunning beauty. Superb photography! So happy that you made it. You persevered against all the odds and made it to the top of the world! One of them at least. Congratulations. A magical experience that you'll carry with you for the rest of your lives. :) And the weather was beyond perfect for the big day. Enjoy the hike to the hot springs. And, thank you! And thanks for helping the sweet woman on her second attempt.
Absolutely spectacular!! Upmost respect just to even attempt to accomplish a trek of this magnitude. This is truly one of the most amazing experiences I have witnessed on your channel. The thoughts of your family and friends I’m sure have crossed your minds throughout this entire trek and they are very proud and grateful to have that connection. I really appreciate you two documenting this incredible journey for all of us to see!! Congratulations and Thank You so much!!
It's could be your the best tour ever you made. The passion, emotion and natural beauty is so amazing ❤. I will go to ABC base camp track as soon as possible.
Chris & Carol:Congratulations to you guys for your new remarkable video today’s from Nepal trying to climbs these hills around these villages in April of 2023❤❤❤
@18:40 That background is so real and authentic that it almost looks as if its CGI. I hope you get what I mean. Himalayas are surreal, dangerous, peaceful, thrilling all at the same time. It's as if the hills and mountains of Nepal are alive( well technically they do seem to be active and keep on rising more than 1cm /year) & have their own soul. You never underestimate nature and hills & mountains in particular. Paying your respect towards the mountain and being humble and grounded helps.
Well done guys! I went one October when the weather is a bit warmer, but busier. Thank you for sharing your adventures, your videos are so informative and interesting to watch.
Congratulations guys on reaching the base camp. It really puts into perspective how difficult trekking through those mountains must be! I would take my wife, but I'd probably have to carry her over the shoulder even after the first day of hiking haha :D Have a much more enjoyable descent! I'm sure you will be remembering those views for a lifetime!
CONGRATULATIONS on your SUCCESS ! Stel and I were in tears (along with Carol) when you guy's reached your destiny. This was an intense display of two people's will to succeed when challenged. As you grow older, (and life's challenges arise) hopefully you will be able to accomplish whatever is necessary by reflecting on this beautiful and hazardous adventure. NAMASTE ❤
OHHH WOWW OK..I CRIED WHEN CAROL BROKE DOWN... IM SO HAPPY YOU BOTH DIDNT TOO SICK TO NOT CONTINUE YOU DID AWESOME...BETTER THAN I COULD EVER DO...THE SCENERY IS SOOO AMAZING WOWWW❤
Great Video!!! All of your videos are good but this one was really outstanding. I love your work and can not wait to see what is next. Thank you Carol and Chris.
This is definitely the best video from this channel! Love it. I am going to ABC this September. Watching all 5 videos will help a lot of mental preparation. Tqvm for making these great videos!
Great video, great achievement 😊 memories for a lifetime! And the end reminded us a little bit of a hike we did in the Bolivian Andes, where we also struggled with altitude sickness at around 5000m. Also some tears there and what had to turn around. That’s why we are a little bit afraid now and only did the Poon Hill. But this video makes me going to the ABC 😀 and crazy with the close helicopters and people ⛷ there 😂
@@JumpingPlaces Nothing serious. Little headache and it was though breathing while hiking, but we were acclimatized for weeks already above +3000 meters. But then out of the sudden it hit me really at around 5000m with visual problems, dizziness and strong headache. The area was really remote with no one around. So I just turned around and went down as fast as I could 😅 At around 4300 I felt better then, but it was kind of scary at that moment. But landscapes were absolutely beautiful with the lakes and snow covered peaks 😍 If you ever plan anything similar in the Andes we can highly recommend the area around La Paz (we tired the Pico Austria around the Chiar Kota Lagoon).
Good job both of you!! I became really sick from altitude sickness in New Mexico here in the states. Everyone else was fine, but I couldn't handle it. It's real!
Congratulations you two, im so happy to follow your journey, most people cannot do what you do, take some time and reap your reward. The views are amazing, almost as good as you two, all the best from Canada.
Very huge achivements to both. Carol cried because she forgot to bring Halo-Halo ingridients haha.. .Its the best video ive ever watch guys.thanks for sharing it with us...
You guys did so well! We did the same trek with a guide and porter in much warmer weather, and I think you would have found it MUCH easier without being in the snow and carrying all your own stuff! It looks even more spectacular in all the snow though.
Beyond amazing! Congratulation, you did it!!! Bravo! These videos were excellent and so interesting to watch! It must of been difficult at times to video your trek! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ❤
So my husband hikes 14'ers with his buddies in the US each year. This year they're doing Mount St. Helens. They've done Long's Peak, Mount Shasta, Angels Landing, El Capitan, to name a few. He also did Spartan races all over the world. One of his buddies wants to go to Nepal but I'm not sure the others want to go. Carol - you're a ROCKSTAR! I would have given up for sure. Glad you guys made it! - Michell
Great video as always, thanks for sharing. Next time when you are visiting Brazil, you could also head to the Atacama desert. Thats fairly high ground, about 4000m.
I actually got quite emotional watching this. I recently returned from a guided tour of Nepal and one of the many highlights was a helicopter flight from Pokhara to Annapurna base camp (only had one full day in the region so took the easy option). I can totally appreciate your emotion after all that effort and also the altitude sickness issues. I may be wrong but I believe those who visit by helicopter are only allowed to stay up there for 20 minutes due to the lack of acclimatisation. But it is breathtaking (literally). Later the same day I hiked up to the World Peace Pagoda and the big Shiva, which you covered on one of you previous videos. Keep up the great work and happy travels to you both xx
Bravo guys!! That is for all of us older people who don’t know if they can do what you did. But at least we could watch it thanks to your videos. You are such a great couple, lots of patients and compromise. Looking forward to your next adventures. Be safe.

NAMASTE ❤
Way to go Carol you did & Chris give her a giant hug! From AZ

Congratulations Chris and Carol. A journey worthy to remember for life. Best wishes and lots of love and prayers from Nepal.
Thank you so much!
But this video makes me going to the ABC 😀 and crazy with the close helicopters and people ⛷ there 😂
5000m must be intense! did you have any symptoms before then?
This video is absolutely breathtaking! Congratulations...what an accomplishment.
Awesome job, guys! Thanks for all your hard work for us lucky viewers.
Well done Carol. The going got tough and you persevered and made it. Excellent stamina!
I was crying too watching! Congratulations you guys, that seemed so hard!
Very huge achivements to both. Carol cried because she forgot to bring Halo-Halo ingridients haha.. .Its the best video ive ever watch guys.thanks for sharing it with us...
Nepal is one of the places people cry after visit nepal and remember for lifetime
Spectacular! Thanks for going on this tough journey, what an adventure!
- Michell
Just an amazing video series. Thank you so much!
Absolutely beautiful video. Congratulations to having made to the base camp. Definitely a bucket list item for me!!! ❤
Well done guys!! This journey has been so amazing to watch, and so inspiring!! So proud of you both 👏🏽🤍
Congratulations, you made it!!! What an epic trek! Appreciate the effort you made to vlog and share.
Good job guys. I'm glad you both made it. Great job Carol! Beautiful ❤❤❤
This is BY FAR the best series you two have shared with us!
Congratulations Carol and Chris! Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Our pleasure!
Much respect!!!! Congratulations- Carol, you’re one tough cookie!❤
Bravo guys!! That is for all of us older people who don’t know if they can do what you did. But at least we could watch it thanks to your videos. You are such a great couple, lots of patients and compromise. Looking forward to your next adventures. Be safe.
Spectacular Mountain View’s along the snowy trails. Nice waterfalls along the way! So serene and heavenly 🌈
