    I ve been there just one year ago and I ve done the same trek to the Poon Hill. Such a great memories! Nepal is in my top 3 countries which I ve visited!! (50 already)

      One day I love to go up the mountain 🏔️. Sims Great trail to hike. 😊I have done Thorangla pass from Manang to Moktinath trail and Lang Tang trek. But not this one. I love it.

      @@muszoidbreak Actully Buddha was born in Lumbini .Terai area where we mostly find dhoti Indians. He went to gaya to become buddha and stayed there until he died in kusinagar , India. He is like Udit Narayan who was Nepali in the begining and became Indian later.

    I have heard before that Nepal is the last piece of pure land on earth, and it really looks like that!
    That dog and that cow should be sent by heaven to protect you!

    Every Country has its own taste but I think Nepal is something else, the diversity of wildlife and landscape is so much more in such a small area leads to very diversified culture. Being such a small country anybody can spend 1 month easily here.

    Apparently these dogs walk around in the most difficult parts of the trail and when they think someone is lost, they take them back to civilisation. True guarding dogs. Some even have a bell around their neck.

    The red flowers on the trees are called LALI GRASS (red grass) in Nepal (Rhododendron in German!), I also saw them in winter in Pokhara, but not as abundant as now in spring!!!

    I think Carol might want to try out some lightweight hiking boots. The one she's wearing seems like a heavy duty type which is great for loose surfaces otherwise it's killing her knees.

      Also think she definitely do need two hiking poles. Consider getting a set from now on since you guys travel a lot day walking long distances day after day month after month 😊

    The flower there you see is Rhododendron (Laligurans in Nepali), the national flower of Nepal !! For a complete Nepal experience, know its national flower.

    Love your series of videos on Nepal. I apologize for being a know it all but the pink/red flowers are Rhododendrons. The are you walked through contain the largest Rhododendrons (some 25m high) and these form the largest Rhododendron forest on earth. In the pacific NW of the USA where I live these are very beautiful but we are lucky to see even 4m tall specimens.

    That's great about the hotels just asking you to buy a few meals and no charge for the room. I'll bet they could tack on $10 for the room and no tourist would bat an eyelash.

    So you have tried Dhal bat which is basically rice with lentils? The area has changed a lot the remnants of the huge Rhododendron Forrest’s have all but disappeared that I remember in my visits of the 1970,s sadly the down side of tourism the trees were cut down for fire wood.A place that has preserved more of its forests is Bhutan a place if you can to visit in the future it is stunningly beautiful.

    So beautiful plus the drone shots add levels +++ _ Also more enjoyable with healthy joints - Might find value looking into a plant based collagen builder, or use the list of ingredients adding to your diet; if it is a previous injury and/or from use this could made improvements; but if it is an arthritis the cure is different. . . :>/

    5:55 those red flower is National Flower of Nepal Rhododendron (aka lali gurans- Nepali) .and is illegal to pluck those flowers and comes under Flora and Fauna Act. So be careful Guys . Thanks for Visiting.

    The pink and red flowers you were seeing all the way is Rhododendron (Laliguras). It is Nepalese national flower, you can eat it directly also. It has more medicinal value❤.

    The Himalayas are so magical and majestic!! I was in Nepal only for a month but in monsoon season and I was not ready to trek in that kind of weather unfortunately for me. Maybe my twin boys will be up for it in a few years!! Happy Travels

    I went there but only to kathmandu
    and Pokora. I like this better,
    the lovely blue bird, dog, bull, little waterfall, views Himalayas! That is
    Good you only pay for meals! I did
    not see the Himalayas when I went
    Nepal and India! The fog / mist was
    hiding mountains completely! Same
    when I went to Zermatt in Switzerland!
