Thank you for this tutorial. I can follow every step and I really understand the construction of the dress. And you explain everything so very good. I like the colors and I like you wearing these dressed - they fit wonderful and they seem to be really nice to wear. Thank you!
Wonderful! Yesterday I was wearing it with military green leggings, and a navy fitted spaghetti top. So it was more a tunic than a dress, but so so comfortable. It was still hot but drizzling outside, so perfect weather to wear it.
Hello from Ontario Canada I just found your wonderful uTube ch Ty so much I adore hooking lol especially granny squares I always try to put in granny squares in something that I’m making. A.k.a. sweaters I’ll make pockets etc. I am self taught hooker lol thank you for your beautiful works of art. I love this dress idea and I do have lots of yarn. The problem is I love to use cotton yarns now! I have a lot of Acrylic yarns which are not my favourite anymore. But we’ll see what I can create. Thank you very much. Have a great safe weekend.
Hi there Pamela!! I hope you find many more wearables to make on my channel with granny squares. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I really appreciate it.
Yay! Thank you! I appreciate it so much. Best way is to check my playlists, because I save it that way so that if you find a type of video you like, they're all grouped for you. x
Beautiful!!! I have one and a half squares waiting. So now I can begin, Yay! Think it might be a top now because I realized I don't n't have a solid dress lol!
I bought a very cheap dress and it had a top that went with it, because it's not a dress meant to wear on it's own, too revealing, but as a layer it's perfect. Today I'm wearing the crochet dress with leggings and a fitted spaghetti top underneath. Perfect for fall/spring weather. So you don't have to have a dress underneath, just makes it easier to measure, I think. SHould be great over a swimming costume as well.
I watched this last night and forgot to send my comment 😅 your dresses are very lovely! I definitely don't have the confidence in making one. But I will absolutely try🤞💕🤗 By chance, can you use a solid granny square? I would be too self conscious with a lot of holes🙈
Hi, love your tutorials. I do have a quick question.. how many skeins of yarn of each color would you need for a size small/medium? I want to get all my yarn ordered before I start lol
Hi Jackie. I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want to use half double crochet stitches?? In the thinner yarn I used treble crochet. In the thicker yarn I used double crochet. You would have to wear something underneath but it covers surprisingly well. I wear a spaghetti top and leggings and it's fine. I hope this answers your question. Contact me if you have further queries or are unclear still. Have a blessed week.
I'm eyeing my bag of cotton yarns wondering if I have enough for a swimsuit cover-up. Beautifully done, Ursula. What made you decide to use treble stitches instead of doubles? My sister is with me and already requesting one made with willow squares. (My family seems to think adapting patterns is a simple task.)
Wonderful! I wanted the big square effect, but with the thin 3-weight, so I tested a few squares and then came up with the 5 treble clusters. it just looked good. If I used normal granny st I don't think it would've look as good. I loved the BIG granny squares in the centre panel. I did at some point thing, why did I not just hold the yarn double ?? But then I already have a dress with thicker yarn. Absolutely right, swimsuit cover is perfect. today i'm wearing it with a spaghetti navy fitted top underneath and leggings. So it's a tunic today and perfect for this autumn weather, change of weather.

You can do it! Absolutely, but really, you can't see much of anything through especially if it is more or less the same colour as the top. Today I'm wearing the blue one with dark military green leggings and a navy coloured spaghetti fitted top. So it's more used as a tunic today, than a dress. but lovely for change of season weather when you want to be cool but the body needs another layer.
Here with the full package. Thanks for sharing!

Would I be able to use a 1/2 double witches thicker and would show less holes
