What would you do with an old, rusty, underpowered Bedford van? Well, if you're Millsi - you'd keep it looking old and rusty but stick a turbo Barra in it. The combo works surprisingly well and will no doubt surprise a few unassuming traffic light wannabe racers;)
Spoiler: Van made 480rwkw/650rwhp with wheel spin on 24psi. Millsi says there's more to come once he puts in a few more psi in and get it on a hub dyno.

Hey guys, if you're in Brisbane next weekend come and see the Barra Bedford at QLD Powercruise.
Come up and say hi. Might even be some Skid Factory merch for sale.
Cheers
#fknmillsi
fuckin' millsi
hey mate its bill from facebook, awesome to see this make some power on the dyno! must be nice to cruise :)
Really impressed with the level of quality in every detail. I'm a regular viewer on Skid Factory, and really enjoyed the series with Al and woody figuring out how to fit the barra in there. But since then, we never got to see any more done to it. Seeing it now, that cage work is incredible. All the little touches show a high level of craftsmanship from each person who put there hands on it. Great selection of people who truly love what they do. Job well Done.
james miller your a wild man I was following you last weekend you were towing the Bedford you just passed through the nsw qld border I was in a white vf ss sedan 😂😂 nice driving haha see you at powercrusise mate
@@warlordmedia5304 haha. I remember that exactly! Good stuff!
Hey guys, just to update. Van made 480rwkw/650rwhp with wheel spin on 24psi.
More to come once we put a few more psi in and get it on a hub dyno.
Fuck me dead that thing doesn't weigh much have you got the wheelie bar sorted?
Thanks for the update. Love the van. I think you might just need that parachute.
It’s metal having anywhere above 80hp in a Bedford van, 650 with more to come is crazy. Alan is a tinkerer, look at the amount of work in this creation. See you at the track mate, it’ll be hot, dusty and dry
Make sure we get to see a video of some passes at the track. Love to see this thing in full flight.
Turbo Yoda!
Who knew that Millsi was an actual person...I thought he was a character from Al's imagination... Now to get the Bedford and Binky together!!!
Nice stand in for Millsi. We know that is not him because he isn't wearing a weird hat and we didn't see him arrive riding Al's mower
Damn... we nearly got away with it too!
I couldn't believe it. Or perhaps I should say, knew I shouldn't believe it. Thanks for confirming my suspicions. ;)
You really think Al will ever get that mower back?
@@roberthale8407 Nope
i guess I'm kind of off topic but does anyone know of a good site to watch new movies online ?
Never knew if the Skid Factory ever finished this thing until now!
It is back at the skid factory.
Thats epic. When I was watching this be built on the SF, it was concerning it was just a death trap. But it's awesome to see it actually get the love it needed, new roll cage, brakes, suspension, seats etc.
I'd beg to differ. Right now I can appreciate the exceptional work he does. But i'd bet my bottom dollar he didn't get there without some crazy loose builds back in the day. Would probably have some pretty wild stories to tell over a couple lemon squashes.

Enjoy!
But what power did it make?

@@millsi1978 That's a thousand Mustang HP for those watching in black and white...
Build a 1000hp+ rb25/6
Halteck.well a standard barra wouldn't have done much.
37 yrs ago day in and day out , I travelled a few thousand miles in these vans , in the uk 🇬🇧 it was fitted with a 2.3 Vauxhall’s car engine , think it was the magnum , car engine , and the day my mate was getting a new one he put his foot to the floor on the motorway and the speedo went all round the clock , and past its top speed, we recon it did about 105 mph , not bad considering it had all our working tools in the back ,,, cheers Shane uk
Al and Woody are absolute legends! but so is Scott. He can tune anything ;) This was a great build with a quality finish. Well done to everyone involved.
Gotta love the Barra. I just bought an FGX ute after driving an AU ute for 9 years. Going from drive by cable to drive by wire is mind blowing.
I was hoping to see a few runs, oh well, thanks Tuning fork, how good is the Bedford! Turbo Yoda and Woody did a top job.
Cheers Haltech
The ""FKNMILSI" on the caliper... great!
Thanks Scotty for the run down on the Skid Factory build Bedford Van. Thanks to Haltech and Millsi great conversion well done. Little Aussie Follower ....
I'm continually amazed by the engineering developed by Al and Woody on this build. Top-notch work from The Skid Factory boys!
I like these.I live in Britain, and my first Mini I had in 1982 smashed into a parked Bedford, because I was trying to pick up a can of car- paint that was rolling around on the floor. My Mini shovelled it's nose under the front of the Bedford, and squashed my Mini up to the windscreen! Not the Bedfords fault, it's mine for not keeping my eyes on the road!
Awesome rig! Was great watching the build 👍
Al did such an awesome job with all the fab work in the engine. And it's really nice to see it buttoned up now with that beautiful cage work.
Christ this thing rocks! I love these old vans but this is epic :D
Good lord they put a cage on it
great stuff as always, rad van millsy.
legend has it theres a fgx getting around with a 202 red motor in it??
Yeah Nah LOL
FKNMILSI, one of best build series from TSF, a lot of fabrication from Alan and woody, it's sick, more than 10 episode, and so sick built 👏👏👏👏
Tuning Fork, Millsi and the Bedford- in the same episode, what more could you want? Great interview Scottie. Nice to see a Bedford van still rolling. You don't see too many of them here in the UK anymore ( hmmm, I wonder why???) Big love from Birmingham, England!
Very cool following that van up my street the other day in greenbank, big fan🤙🤙🤙
I worked at Holden at the time and the base model had a 1760cc slant 4. The same engine was fitted to the base T.A. Torana.
Watched the build on the skid factory. Very cool
Awesome! So glad he kept the 12 bolt👍
NIce....will be into this for sure, my mind ticking over
Always wanted to see a Bedford Van decked out with a fairly newSkool engine! This just went that nextLevel
Great to see the Bedford
Holy cow you got Millsi on cam. Noice. Starting to get the skid factories joke now lol.
OK Millsi NOW YOUR READY for the Nuggett Garage challenge and the HOFFS awesome (albeit subdued and relaxed) POWER!........... BRIING IT ON.
Finally another bedford episode :D
I skipped the ad because it was 3:45 and I've watched it once for the team already
A guy up my road had a custom Bedford cf van called Outer Limits. He had a v6 in it. 120 mph. It was the dogs nuts. Brilliant paint job shame I can't upload any pics..
Looking forward to seeing this thing actually drive.
It's now road registered in QLD so fully legit!
the rust is all fake? now thats sick. im so glad its actually in good condition
Yeah, it's freakish actually, it genuinely looks old and rusty, even up close!
Mindblown by this
Most of it is :P
Wow, I genuinely thought it had lived in a damp area and then was transplanted out. Looks like any van that has lived in my state. I was convinced!
Even if it wasn't, it's not actual rust.
Millsi van 👍 you millsi taken al s lawn mower back yet?
Thats Awesome it looks like a third gen. g.m. van with the motor between the seats like the first and second gen. vans. cheers
How could you dislike that!!
Need to see that van run.
Awesome Key Ring :) Millsi i love that van it's freaking awesome i look forward to seeing more of the van with some numbers and it would be great to see a concrete block at 140 miles :).
We are keen to see what it can do as well. We are told it's gonna happen soon:)
I've been waiting for the van to show and shine i can't wait keep up the great work guys!!.
Great engineering guys and concept or was it concept and engineering?.
Thanks for sharing.
Awesome
Millsi is a god damn legend 👍🏻
everyone says the turbo will not fit , Turbo Yoda " under estimate my power you do " installs turbo like a boss
love it.want it.
Sweet it looks like if Dodge made a late model snub-nosed van in the states very cool🙌
Millsi for president
Barra’s for erbody
Not going to lose the key with that keychain
It was a pisstake from my brother Dave. I think it's staying.
The free candy van got serious power now lol.
This is just an awesome all round build, something different to the usual builds with big power Japanese engines
Its pretty damn cool.
haha roll cage! totally needs it tho! so much power!
Liked for 86 seats and 480rwkw!
Great build. Would have liked to see more of the tuning and dyno runs tho
Final dyno run and power figures: ua-cam.com/video/jIg1rWb5jUA/v-deo.html
Watched that entire build on Skid Factory, awesome stuff,
Would like to see this unit in person, hope this brick does well on the 1/4
We have it on good authority it'll be hitting a race track soon:)
Yeaaaasss, who's going to upload the vid...?
@Jub Threesixnine Traditionally, a "brick" would be an old Mini. This one's much bigger, so maybe we can christen it a "block of flats." :-D
And in Australia a metaphorical brick is a sizable shit, a 2nd to that would have a related secondary meaning to a ugly person haed and face, and so on.
YES!!!! fkn' millsi
Awesome to see the Millsi behind the Millsi if thats really you ......... You certainly do have a love-hate relationship with the Yoda because of this vehicle.
I really like Tuning Fork!
30yrs ago we Kiwi's Cruised in Custom Versions off these Normally with 350 Chevys installed BUT , My mate Had one with a Worked Vaxhall Cresta 3.3ltr Bored out to a 3.6ltr and IT was So Quick the 350 Chevys couldn't Catch it lol ...
Scott always presents and communicates so well. I noticed another aussie Haltech guy had a similar presenting style as well. Any professional training?
Richard does, but Matt and Scott both learned on the job, which is pretty impressive.
awesome, paint it like the A Team van!!! And put tip ties on the vacuum hose
Sweet ride geezer...i had a Bedford C.F... with sliding doors, my rust was real..pile of old shit.. Good luck with that..🇬🇧
'Back in the day' the Bedford CF van wasn't a bad old truck. They had a big job taking on the Transit and one wheeze was to 'position' it in TV shows. Very big show was 'Minder' and they had a CF take a big part in the story. Except at a key moment likeable rogue Arthur Daley says "Terry go get the Transit" ...
Groans at Vauxhall ...
some of them are fitted with an opel 4 cilinder diesel too , allmost none left though , petty cause o liked the shape of them
That was bulit in a factor kust 2 miles from my house... i think my dad built the body panel presses
Ha my dad races with the red 202. It sounds fkn mint, almost like a rotary
I had one 25 years ago but could not take 2 cars moving interstate. Wish i still had it
At 12:02 talking about the diff, it's Torsen not torsion.
Mr T and the A Team would have approved.
Pity the fool who doesn't:)
Boooo! Was keen to see some dyno pulls
Nah I think that'll be saved for the Skid Factory. I know I'd feel kind of robbed it it was shown here.
@@Megaphone77 the series is loooong over on skid factory so I figured it'd actually be abit better shown here
@@TheBondy666 nah they will no doubt follow up one day. Both Al and Woody have at least mentioned that.
Final dyno pull video link in the description.
👍
I love this big ugly piece of chit, it's pretty badass.
There’s money in cutting grass. Good on him for being different.
Shit it's got a cage now? Getting serious, nice work
What did it make for powah?
Regrettably got rid of mine 30 years ago..I'd love another one
I wanted to see it go down the road
Nice petina
Would have been nice to see a few pulls and figures!
Van made 480rwkw/650rwhp with wheel spin on 24psi.
More to come once we put a few more psi in and get it on a hub dyno.
@@haltech That's great. Looking forward to it!
3:15am lol
How much Horse Power does it have ??
When is he going to give Als mower back?
I followed this from the beginning in the skid factory. And I don’t know the output figures now still.

👍🏼🤘🏼😎
I Herd Millsi killed Ten Men with a Playing Card (Ace Of Spades I believe)
Great video but missing one very important element THE DYNO TESTING TO SEE WHAT POWER IT HAS! Tuning Fork what happened?
Link to the final dyno run and figures in the description and in the pop up link towards the end of the video.
There’s the Bedford, been waiting to see this thing run on the dyno, go for a cruise or something, when’s that going to happen 🤷🏻♂️
soon, we hope:)
Will be cutting laps at Powercruise OLD next weekend
james miller cool hope to see video of that
"Torsion diff centre" - is that a Chev thing, or do you mean a Torsen diff centre?
Torsen' s are fantastic, strong as nails and completely mechanical.
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed this.
so all that chit chat and no demo ?
“Was a 202 a conversion ??” 🤣🤣🤣 NFI
202 Because some were converted to ambulances
Gonna have to mow plenty of lawns to pay for all that!
I missed the power figure?
So why didnt you show the dyno results?
Probably a burnout warehouse exclusive
