A tip is great pulling the tape back leaving a crisp edge. Also, gloved finger, solvent wax & grease, use the finger that fits to smooth out. It works great from what I see with no reaction to any seam sealer and even though most are sand able after cured, but make it like factory.
I have never tried it but seen it used twice!

Nice one, this helps thx ! . I’ve been wrestling with my drip rails , watching vids , repeating the 2nd side agin after 3trys on the left side . My 3m seam sealer dries so quickly in all temps , it drives me brains batty

I also found if you put on a latex or nitrile glove and spray you finger with wax and grease remover, you can smooth a bead of that caulk in the rail. I wish I knew that before I made this video, but the key is the tape.

Hello everyone, I just started working on my 1966 Barracuda but my Drip Rails are rusted out and I'm having a hard time finding a pair. Any idea how to make them or where to buy them since I want to reconnect the chrome trims back?

Great video. Have you have any issues with this sealer shrinking, cracking, or pulling back?

Not yet, but the car was painted two months ago and hasn’t spent any time outside yet.

Thanks for sharing. Was the car epoxy primer before you sealed. I couldn’t tell.

Refreshing sealer keeps the bad stuff out otherwise the factory wouldn't do it. It also helps it from getting water in rusting everything out. The factory also done it because it was quick cheap easy and lasted a long time.
