Bloodywood machi based good song
listen to where the wild things are by metallica even if not for a reaction
rew you should react to Infant Annihilator's new song, "The Battle of Yaldabaoth". Its one of the heaviest songs released in a long time and is way better both lyrically and musically than most of their old songs.
Leper Messiah by Metallica
edited my comment and lost the ❤️
sad
You’ve discovered Seattle ‘89. Welcome to the rest of your life
The thing that should not be 🔥💥🔥💥
Watch Master of Puppets from that concert!!!
@@xino1303 And One aswell
Creeping death and Battery at Seattle 89' are the absolute pinnacle of Metallica
@@devendasmusic Surprised COCA cola didn't sponsor them..
James: "so how many bpm's will battery be tonight?"
Lars: "yes"
Hahah facts😂
what about Whiplash it was even faster
Lars is probably the greatest drummer of all time. Up there with John Bonham...
@@kimberlyp8870 great composer and songwriter, but a GREAT drummer he is not
@@michaelmcconnell7302 you are certainly entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine
couldn't click fast enough for this one ! Now try Metallica - Spit Out The Bone to see how good they still are 30 yrs later......
This...fucking this!
Song was last performed March 9th, 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky. They play it every now and then. You can see all the times each metallica song was played on their website.
And setlistfm 👍
@Kristine Rose same, absolutely incredible live song for them still.
The crowd in Louisville sucked though.
DisposableSanitarium
Really
You should just react to this whole live show it’s the prime Metallica and prime thrash 🥵
So sad that there will never be another Metallica.
@@nicokorkiamaki2991 people are too soft nowadays
They came back out after battery and played like 3 more songs
5 more!
Metallica was and still is fucking insane
They are still playing it in 2019. Keep it metal
"Did they even have cameras back then?"
Seriously? I mean wtf.
John Flemings smh
What a doofus!
Whiplash in the same concert. 🖤
Even raster...
This is best concert of all time for me.
Be impressed. They still play this song 100 to 120 times a tour
You should check out stuff from their first album. (Preferably studio versions) Kill Em All’ for me is the birth place for thrash. It’s a killer debut album.
These songs are a must:
Whiplash
The Four Horsemen
No remorse
Keep up with these reaction videos man \m/
I wonder what kind of vitamins these guys were on that night LMFAO
a Bulgarian girl told me that vitamins is literally the main slang for speed there lol
Cocaine lol
@@Gravityys **stares evily at lars**
@@musicplaylists59 your not wrong 🤣🤣
High doses of vitamin A and C
The glory Days of Jason Newsted.Such an underrated Bass Player/Singer/Musician....and they have treated him like Assholes.....anyway,the first LPs until Masters of Puppets are still my Milestones of this Genre.....
“Battery” refers to the street in San Francisco where they started in the metal club scene. Great tribute to their beginnings
Wrong
They played it faster than ussual live btw
Guitar and Bass Doodle + Master of Puppets from the same concert - Seattle 1989 - DO ITTTTT
This song is still a regular on their set lists.
Just nowhere near as fast as this
Never clicked so fast. If you're curious here's a recent version of Metallica playing battery live and still killing it ua-cam.com/video/tRJxnxVu3C8/v-deo.html
*Next: Metallica - All Nightmare Long ( Music video)*
Coming up on Halloween, it's a bold plan.
Omg someone is suggesting All Nightmare Long!
3:25 the song was actually used in a energizer commercial, look it up.
This song is still found in their sets, pretty impressive when you watch them perform it now. They haven’t lost the battery.
Seaattle 1989, one of their best concerts
Their best concert, by far!
Even though I love Cliff and Robert, my favorite bass player will always be Jason Newsted. His energy and backup vocals is on another level.
Jean-Michel Labadie comes pretty close though.
Yes they do still perform it. My band used to play this song and it's a hell of a forearm workout! Also this was the song that kicked me off into Metallica :) I started listening when I was 13 and I bought Master of Puppets, this was the first song!
This song is so fucking awesome when your training on the treadmill and it suddenly comes up... You know what happens next...
GeniusCenaa your training what?
You run through the fucking WALL
now you have to react to the concert that got metallica kicked off of MTV. MTV europe awards
Well they perform it still. just 2 times slower
My most prized Metallica possession is this boxset, It has always been in my room growing up and now that I am old in my office. I worked my ass of as a kid to buy it, I still remember paying $106.87 for it.
Seattle 1989 and Moscow 1991 are two of, if not THE GREATEST live metal performances ever.....all from the same band.
the dude at 6:45 is wearing a Megadeth shirt LMAO
I think I've seen a Metallica shirt at every concert I have ever been to.
i've never seen a megadeth shirt at any concert besides megadeth
I know you already did it, but you show check the Disasterpice-Live in London 2002. that Will blow your mind, I swear
Watch Metallica Fade To Black Live at Metal Hammer fest 1985 with Cliff Burton. Best Fade To Black version. Also watch Cliff Burton Bass solo Roskilde 1986
Metallica in 1989 was UNTOUCHABLE
This song has nothing to do with a power source, assault, or a large gun emplacement. Battery is actually a street in San Fransisco where Old Waldorf was located. Which is a club where Metallica played many, many times in their early career.
If you want to check out a more recent performance of this song, there's a proshot of one from January 2019 on the Metallica yt channel 🤘🏻
You should definitely check out there S&M show, classic Metallica with a symphony you will be suprised how well they blend
"Battery" is, without any doubt, one of the very best Metallica's songs. The power on this song is really B-R-U-T-A-L.
They played this SOOOOOOOOOOOO much faster than the album version back then
When you are a guitarist or a drummer, this performance hits you 100 times harder.
To add, if you look at the Setlist of Seattle 1989 after battery they took a short break but then returned to the stage for another 5 songs including Whiplash (a song you need to hear), all up they played 18 songs plus bass/guitar solos and an encore jam.
still don't know how they played Whiplash after this LOL
Metallica - Low man's lyric (Live at MTV 1998)
Yes they still play this & EVERYTHING pretty much
This song is still played at pretty much every Metallica show
It’s now 2023 and they still playing it
METALLICA. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 . EPIC GREATNESS.
I graduated HS and joined the Army that year. I got to see them the previous Summer at Monsters of Rock with Van Halen, Dokken, and the Scorpions. Straight legendary.
They absolutely still play that live and crush it.
They can still perform all their songs
I saw Metallica on January 9th and this was the third to last song played and they killed it. They don't really head bang anymore but the song had a lot of pyro in it, it was awesome. The performance is actually on youtube uploaded by their official channel.
You got to do whiplash from that exact same show
This show was 30 years ago. 2 years from now, the band will turn 40 years existence (they formed in October 1981).
I think they said in enterviews that this was the fastest version of the song they ever played. The album version is also very fast, but not like this.
They still play it, but obviously not like this fast lol
Next one do Whiplash live in San Diego CA 1992.
It is a song from their debut album "Kill' Em All" from 1983 and it is also in a fast pace, but.. take your breath man lol ;)
Oh yeah they still play this song all the time
Thanks for this=))Oh shit,this is amazing))Seattle very great concert=))watch this=))
They still perform it live
Did you notice the lack of tattoos on James.
More requests?
Strength Beyond Strength - Pantera
Shit's heavy man
This is called BAY AREA THRASH METAL..
Exodus & Blind Illusion the pioneers. After them many more bands like Death Angel - Testament - Possessed - Trauma and ofcourse METALLICA.
I saw them live 2 years after! what a f@#&ng show....
And yes ! MASTER must be next! Their top ever song.
metallica-the thing that should not be
They still play it but with less energy and it's slowed down, most songs they play now are slowed down.
I've seen them twice but they didn't play this song sadly, they still play it tho
This concert inspire me to play guitar.
3:00 hahaha, check out fight fire with fire from 2018. Its battery on meth.
Historic Videos?...go back in time and check out the Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Led Zeppelin etc Live Videos....50 Years old.....and yes, even at that time, they got Film Cameras ;)
They still play this song every now and then, and please react to disposable heroes live by metallica .
they still play battery in 2019
Hehehe.... Played live, according to the Metallica website, 941 times. Nine Hundred and Forty One Batteries, five this year alone.
Seatlle has been remixed in 2018 re release of AJFA... SEATTLE is THE live Met concert! Period. Monsters of Rock 91 a close second
PLEASE listen to ''The Thing That Should Not Be'' from this concert too! It will fucking blast your mind lol
Check out Metallica "Creeping Death" 1991 Moscow! There was over a million people at this show! FUCKIN AWESOME! This song is about the 10 plagues God placed on the Pharoh for not freeing the Hebrew slaves. This was the final plague...Killing the first born Egyptian .You know the Bible I am sure.
They still perform this song. Believe me I know lol. I've been a MASSIVE Metallica fan for nearly 30 years.
Seattle 89 was professionally recorded and released (initially on VHS and then DVD) as part of 'Live Shit: Binge & Purge' back in 1993. The whole concert is available on UA-cam, actually if you search youtube for 'Seattle 1989' it's all clips of this concert.
James Hetfield wrote the song about Metallica's craziest fans in the crowd. They are Metallica's Battery.
Metallica plays this song live today. I've seen it in person in 2017 and 2018. UA-cam has plenty of live Battery :)
they played like 4 or 5 more songs after that lol METALLICA IN THERE PRIME BABYYYYY
Metallica was the band in the 80s and 90s. My room was wall to wall posters of them. Excellent live and I was priveledge to see Cliff play a few months before he was killed. 🤘🔥💯.... They still play this🤩
You don't have to worry about Metallica's Master of Puppets being lost forever. It was add to the National Recording Registry by the US Library of the Congress for its cultural, historical and aesthetical significance in 2015.t
It's like a battery on the eardrums, isn't it? LOL
God, I saw them in 86 with Anthrax at the Edinburgh playhouse. Not only just as good, the ticket was £4.50. Lol.
Yes. They still play this live...Lars' drum kit is WAY striped down from this monster kit, but they still play "Battery"
Oh hey I found Waldo.
Cameras have been around since before the civil war (US). 1800's.
They could totally open with battery. That would be a kickass opener.
Hope you listened to the album version at some point. I don't think I'll ne tuning in to any more of your videos tho.
They played battery live in Lubbock Tx in Mar 2019, I was there. It was nuts!
Dude they still play this from time to time as an Encore song coming back onto stage.
Check out Spit Out The Bone from their new album Hardwired to Self Destruct 🤘🏻🥃😈
Metallica at their prime performance-wise. Cocaine speed and beer-infused bark. Good times.
It's even more impressive if you're used to album version, which is slower than this performance :D (although at the time you're listening it's lightning fast)
Nice !!
Amazing !!
Awesome !!
But... When Spit Out The Bone?
Been listening to metallica for about 30 years or so.....(yes I'm in my 40s)....they still play this live and just as good...... Now I thínk you should really react to spit out the bone, not the video but lyric video or just listen to the song.
I seen them do Battery live in Vancouver back in......... I think it was their 2013 concert. I don't think ti was a tour, I know they were shooting scenes for a movie the night I went to it. They were amazing, but that was 7 years ago, I'm sure they're approaching 60 years old now though. I hear Lars is having trouble with drums and Kirk has trouble with his hands, but I think Kirk pulls through for the most part, but Lars gets a lot of shit, but I don't blame him, he's getting up there and they do what seems like hundreds of shows per tour. lol
Drewski, they opened with this song on many tours. Check out the version from S&M 1999, or just buy yourself that double album!
Watching in 2021: they just performed this on Steve Colbert and destroyed it. It was awesome!
There are two types of people on this earth, those who've watched Seattle '98 and those who haven't.
Welcome to the better group (at least you started)
😬🤘🏻
Side note : they very much still play this song, but I don't think it was ever played as fast as during this classic concert
No they rarely play this song live anymore! But master of puppets every set. This live version didn’t include the classics intro tho which is a great part of the song
Hey man and thanks for a very good reaction chanel! They still play it! But this vid is 1,5 x the speed! They did that in the early days they just speed every song up live. Its still a fast song without the speed up. Listen to the record and you will hear the difference!
Keep it up and sorry for my bad English
Cheers from Sweden
What is this 'way behind my time' BS. If you love music, that should make zero difference. I was listening to the Beatles and Stones and Sabbath as a kid and they were years before me. At least you're making ammends but stop making excuses.
Any song from this show, my personal favorites are Blackened and Master Of Puppets
They still play this song! The third last song on every set list is always one of the ‘fastest’ ones bearing in mind some earlier ones are seriously quick as well but that last one will be one of the following:
Spit out the bone (it’s always this now because the fans complained so much)
Blackened
Battery
Fight fire with fire
Lords of summer
Or rarely damage inc
People are complaining once again as to why they only play spit out the the bone however. For the last couple of years until this tour battery was every 2 or 3 shows it just cycled through the above mentioned
Wow great reaction to Battery from Metallica High speed metal music at its best .🤘🤘doing 🎱 balls has that effect.
Took my daughter to see them in March. A lot of their new stuff is faster than this. Lars is the only one that cuts corners.
You really can’t go wrong with their first 4 albums.
Listen to:
Blackened off the Justice album and The thing that should not be from puppets. A little variety from their hay day.
They probably still perform this every single show.
they don't
I don't think every single show but they do every couple shows
Zen probably a vast majority. It’s a mainstay of their live shows.
@@billbrasky1288 yeah I saw them in january of this year and they performed battery
They played "Breadfan" in the end. Battery is still played but ofc not at the same intensity and speed. They're nearly 60, duh.
