i LOVE audience stuff. I can appreciate not knowing the chorus and wanting to hear it in full, but when you do know it, the audience part is the best.
and justice for all seatle 89 is SO BRUTAL
You guys should react to when Metallica got bored and then played around, they all switched instruments. With Lars on vocals, James on drums, Kirk on bass and Jason on guitar. The thing about it is it turned out really good, because they're so talented.

oh yea, the entire stage falls apart at the end it's wild....also it's even crazier when you realize this was after 1.5 hours of pure intense playing and they STILL deliver a 11/10 performance...simply put, no band since in the metal genre at least can put on a show like Metallica could.
You should react to song called The thing that should not be from this same gig. It is awesome. Hetfield is obsessed in that one.

"I dont want to hear the crowd sing the lyrics" - When you take another viewpoint on it, its pertty cool that, that many people know the words. You just reacted to Metallica in 1989. If you go to a Metallica concert today, its sooooooooooooooo fun to sing the words James was going to say. Live experience is awesome

I was at this show.
My 4th time seeing them live in 4 different States with all 3 bassists was Lincoln, NE September 6, 2018 and it’s on UA-cam in its 2 hours and 25 minutes entirety.

Amanda's a metal check fo show🤘🤘🤘 I seen them on the strip in I think 1981 after our gig was over a groupie wanted me to go with her to see this new band Metallica. She was hot af and a band named Metallica has to be good. And blowed me away. The guitar player needed some work or he was too drunk it was Dave Mustaine they latter fired him.Dont think they have made it big with him. they would be just another thrash metal band.

There's other live shows other than 89 Seattle you can watch. Cunning Stunts. S&M. France. Mexico (Mexico shows are insane). Expand those horizons a bit past Seattle 89 (and Moscow). Suggestion: Disposable Heroes from Mexico City or Ecstacy of Gold/Blackened from Nimes, France
If u want a cleaner version with no basic participation, find the version from cliff em all. And r.i.p. cliff Burton. U are loved and missed.

Yeah bands playing stuff faster live is a common thing. They are hyped playing live so it just happens.
While bands playing faster live being common is true, it’s not because they are “hyped.” It is absolutely strategic in that the faster the tempo, the less pronounced each note becomes, making it simpler to play each note on a scale and even cheat certain notes. Also, especially with Metallica, their songs are very long so speeding up the tempo allows the setlist to accompany more songs if they play faster.
