You also have a lot of people out there like I do down here that are going out watering down there seal coat, giving us a bad name also has contractors good contractors need to just go out there and prove who we are and our quality of work and our name

do you need a specific license to bid on hotel motel school etc jobs?
Licensing requirements vary from state to state. Best to check with your authorities to be 100% sure.
If it's just crack sealing or sealcoating the only thing I was ever asked for is insurance proof. Every state might be different.
How are you doing? I have a question I’ve been in the business for two years now it’s going great. Oh my customers love me I take my time. I do my job well and I take pride in my work. I have a company that wants me to join their franchise what is your opinion on that? They are giving me a lot of work now but their franchise fees are around 15%
That’s a great question. Do you believe you can do this on your own without the leads they are sending you? Or are you relying on their franchise model to support you and help you grow?
At the end of the day you’ll need to determine if you desire to build your own empire or do it with them together.
Don't do it. I had my own black dawg sealcoat franchise. Not as good as it sounds. Also 15 percent is crazy. You said it yourself, your customers love you. Over time you will build a ton of repeat customers and it will only get better. You don't need the franchise.
On top of what I said before, keep doing a nice job make sure you put a sign out at every job and the work will come. I've been doing sealcoat and crack sealing my entire life, going the franchise route was the worst thing I've ever done. It's a whole nother headache to deal with. And my royalty was only 8% not 15. Take the free work while they're giving it to you.
Airports with a walk behind crack sealant machine. They’d laugh you out the door. Your insurance alone wouldn’t be enough to step foot on that property being a vendor.
We actually have a lot of clients working with stationary and push melters on private airports.
