My gravel driveway might be a slight pain to plow and shovel in the winter but at least it’s not radiating heat from being jet black. And at least I don’t have to pay to have it resurfaced every couple years. 🤷♀️

It probably also depends on how much you drive/park cars on said driveway as well, since that extra weight makes it easier to break the asphalt up. 3-4 years is probably the average and a good estimate to ensure you dont need to outright replace the entire driveways asphalt xD
Cracks should be repaired asap to prevent water get under and causing damage in cold weather. The resealing is due to UV and weather eroding protection of the coating. I have marble showers and resealing is recommended annually because the sealant wears out. Just like car paint sealant or protectorant has weather and sun beating on it; you decide how long but you figure it out yourself.
The driveway appears to be concrete. Is this correct? If so, is it best to repair the cracks in the concrete, then, lay the asphalt on top? Or, if you are interested in asphalt driveway, remove entire concrete, then, lay new asphalt driveway?
Im pretty sure the lighter asphalt is just old asphalt, unless im mistaken. Asphalt looses its jet black color over time and greys out, concrete is much lighter and smoother looking as well
353 degrees celsius is 667 degrees fahrenheit . Way to hot for hot applied crack filler. I have this same machine and all of the crack fillers recommend far less than 667 degrees F. Good video but do your homework please. The guy says this at around the 2:30 mark in the video

@@rabbit1360 Have you figured in the number of cars that are damaged by potholes, car accidents from potholes, and windshields that are damaged by rocks from pot holes? Billions of dollars of damage, injury and death related costs are the result of bad roads and drive ways, not to mention the added stress on the nerves of drivers and passengers from potholes. All together, I think we should rehab and repair all asphalt roads every three years.
@@theodorevegh6030 The US has around 3 million sq mile of road (2959067 to be exact). The avg cost to fix a road is 3 dollars per sq ft. Doing the math, it would take 2.47482160358 × 10^14 dollars to fix just the roads that the US has. Now pay for that every 3 years and it will put the US into more dept than it already is even if you get rid of the military budget for the past few decades.
In Russia a saw different giant holes in asphalt filled with: wooden blocks, small rocks, acorns, old carrot. I wish it was a joke :(
LOL...👏😂😂😱
In Indonesia we plant banana tree in it
Well, not in Saint-Petersburg
In India we wait for rain to fill the pot holes with water and make some new pot holes
You were lucky, your holes were filled with something.
I wounder if they would have any chance against the cracks in east european streets..

I think dentist removing tartar. Search that Japan white dental channel.
Ha. My brother does this work. It’s back breaking in reality
Satisfying until you actually do it
Still watched even though I don't even own a driveway...
Don't even own a house
I'm curious about how polluting those products are.
Yeah. Apshalt is the most recycled material in the world I think. Would any of this ruin it? The rubber part? What even is in the sealer?
It's good to see they're still covering the important stories..... I'd love to do this job. 😁😂
I always see seal coating driveway. It's too much satisfying
Maybe that’s why his company’s name is Orca? 🕵🏻♀️
I was worried about leaving streaks from the brooms when they spread it but apparently the material has some self leveling properties.
Why do they have so many asphalt driveways in the us. Its really ugly
Does the sealer cover the rubber/tar used to fill cracks so that it is not visible?
What area is that? Looks nice
Job well done!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
As someone who loves making sandwiches, there's something oddly satisfying about watching them spread that liquid asphalt.
We need you for the roads in South Africa 😂😂
Sealing (rubber) sounds like water is not be able to go through it anymore ... Which is/would be a really bad idea.
You never want water to get under in cold climates because that’s how potholes and foundation unsettling occurs.
Sorry, but got the whole freeze thaw theory wrong.

How eco friendly is this tho?
There are only two types of driveway. Those that have cracked, and those that haven't cracked yet.😀 How long is the guarantee?

Can you talk about Kaitou Joker?
Worth to watch
Expansion joints for every 5 metres prevents cracking
Recommend to reapply every 3 to 4 years? Just gonna keep it a dirt road and get an SUV
Yeah but they also recommended getting your teeth cleaned by a dentist every three months
That asphalt just got kissed by a rose.
Never knew I wanted this

Maybe have smaller roads so you don’t have to spend so much on maintenance 🙃

Asphalt is ugly and uses oil by products, use stone or brick to pave your driveway!
My Crack filling pot was old school, had to walk backwards
All of these can be avoided by using cement instead of asphalt for the driveway.
Cement is plenty prone to cracking over time as well
My cement driveway is already cracking a lot a year after i make it
Just pave it lol. Looks much better too
