I think the reason why Craig doesn't talk is because he has social anxiety or an anxiety disorder called selective mutism. I used to have it when I was younger and I still have really bad social anxiety.
Back in like 2010 he used to go to a bar that i frequently visited, i didnt know who he was until my musician friends started fluttering to him. He is very quiet and very chill. He does talk, but only if someone was trying to talk to him, and even if i was two seats away i could barely hear him. It was fascinating to witness all of this.

Had a buddy in highschool who was the same way. Just started hanging out with our group of friends after I hung out a bit with his original group. Didn't say a word, but he was a master of body language. You'd ask him a question and he'd answer you with a shrug, tilt of the head, fown, and other stuff Corey was doing. Only time I ever heard him talk was when he had to read something in class, or the 1 time I went to his house. Mike was a good guy, wonder what he's up to now.
