@@TheSilent1998 Yeah sounds about right - on the open road I average around 7, but through town it can get as bad as 10-11. Averages out around 9 between the two though
The CU1 already costs me 4200 euro per year just in running costs. So insurance, road taxes and avg fuel/month. Im going to maybe move back to a Swift Sport facelift. Getting a CU2 is going to set me back even more, as its heavier, has more Co2 output and worse gas milage. :(
Tbh I know nothing about them... reflash (if ones available) lowering springs, cosmetics of your choice, maybe an intake to hear that turbo flutter. Not a heap you can do
For performance, delete egr and dpf and reflash, should get you at least 60 horses, if you wanna go to town, put a bigger turbo... suspension is identical to Kiwi's car so a similar setup would be nice.
A tune will get you from 138bhp to about 190-200, but it's the torque figures you want to look at in a diesel. 251 lb/ft becomes around 300 from a basic remap. For this, you will want some form of clutch kit as standard one can't handle that torque for long. These can be pricey here in the UK (£1.3k+ labour included) Outside of that, just make it look good. Diesels didnt come in Type S trim so grab a nice lip-kit and slap it on. Be warned though the diesels come with a side mounted FMIC so you will need to remove the left fog light to allow air flow if fitting one of these kits to a pre-face. That and lower it on a good set of H&R, Eibach or Tein springs/coilovers and get a nice set of wheels and accomodating tyres. Progress rear anti roll bar _(RARB)_ comes recommended from many-- and get some sort of custom exhaust because the downturned 'flacid' diesel one looks pathetic. 🤣 Lastly, one of the biggest changes I made to my Accord was fitting a mesh grill & de-chroming the car. Colour coding the grill surround and blackening the chrome around the windows. Something else everyone always overlooks is lighting. A good set of white bulbs up front (I recommend Osram Nightbreakers)- good LED sight lights & rear number plate lights and polish those headlights to make them look new! Something else to note, these diesels are very fussy when it comes to servicing. They only like _OEM_ Bosch parts. Failing this causes it to throw up an EML and go into limp mode at times. Just a heads up 😜

Bro you are a person who likes Accord like me,and I have question.I have K24 exectuve(She looks like yours only dont have a wing on back and she is black and AT) For few days i change oil and filters. In engine is Shell 5w40,and always was 5w40 a few years ago she use Mobile 5w40,because first owner was friend.I know what Honda says 5w-20...I think to change on 5w20,this option is 3x expensive(not problem) because in my country 5w20 is like dinosaur and only sells in 1l pack.Stays on 5w40 or some advice 5w30? Car is like a new, engine on 180,000km but great 9,6-10..Cheers
I use 5w30, but tbh there's not a massive difference between each. Just buy whatever is on sale... 5w20/30/40 will be fine. Wouldn't recommend a 0w though as it'll be too thin for an engine of those k's
@@KiwiCarLife Thank you! Monday i go shoping ;)
I have Valvoline 5w40 on good price,Total,Elf.....Now is Shell 5w40 but is not available...Maybe Mobile but in my Mg zt I'm not impressed....
Just wondering, why would the auto K24(a3) have a sad engine? Is there a difference between the auto and manual K24a3?
Wasn't referring to the a3, was talking about the base 2.0L (K20, R20) and the base k24a4. The k24a3 is a great engine whether paired with an auto or a manual. Pretty much as good as the k24a2
@@KiwiCarLife Awesome, was a bit worried I'd picked up the wrong car! great video man.
@@harrisonds3950 Haha nah A3 is what I have. It's the good K24
I have accord 2litre petrol ivtec Ireland one we didn't get 2.4 which u have uk did car tax very high in IRE so they was bad seller 2litre have to do
Ahh yeah makes sense... too bad about the tax aye... The K24 is a much better car
How do the cl9/cu2 stack up against the lexus is250/350 seeing as they're both in the same price bracket?
Sweet Takuma Sato poster btw!
Lexus is more comfy and probably faster stock (maybe not the 250) but the accord has much more modification potential
@@KiwiCarLife thanks, i'm on the lookout for a reliable, fun to drive sedan. Never considered the Euro until I saw the videos on your channel! Do a euro Vs is250/350 video
@@rajatjuvekar9477 if I can find someone with one I will!
I think the is350 is definitely not in the same price bracket?
Wait a minute. Where is the H22 typeR made in UK ? That is definitely the best . At least for track
That's not an accord euro. This is only the 7th and 8th gen accords that are branded as "accord euro"
Can a 09 Honda Accord transmission work on a the 04 tsx ? Anyone
Unlikely, trans mount will be different for starters
Have you ever thought of turbocharging your euro cl9?
Yeah, too much money... if I wanted a turbo car I'd sell it and buy a 135i
You'd lose all the benefits you get from a _N/A_ engine. A Frankenstein build would be the next best thing.
I know this isn't related to your video, but I was wondering what kind of fuel economy you get now with all the mods done to your car? Oh and great video btw
Cheers and about 9l/100km
@@KiwiCarLife no way, I never expected that!
with a cl9, similar, you can get 7l/100 outside of town, i get an avarege of 10l/100km, average on 10.000kms ✌️
4200 sounds cheap to me, at least in our country, but yeah swift would be cheaper
@@KiwiCarLife That'd be 6.745,75 aussie dollars
What mods would you recomend for the diesel manual?
Tbh I know nothing about them... reflash (if ones available) lowering springs, cosmetics of your choice, maybe an intake to hear that turbo flutter. Not a heap you can do
@@KiwiCarLife thanks, means a lot :D
For performance, delete egr and dpf and reflash, should get you at least 60 horses, if you wanna go to town, put a bigger turbo... suspension is identical to Kiwi's car so a similar setup would be nice.
A tune will get you from 138bhp to about 190-200, but it's the torque figures you want to look at in a diesel. 251 lb/ft becomes around 300 from a basic remap. For this, you will want some form of clutch kit as standard one can't handle that torque for long. These can be pricey here in the UK (£1.3k+ labour included)
Outside of that, just make it look good. 🤣
Lastly, one of the biggest changes I made to my Accord was fitting a mesh grill & de-chroming the car.
Just a heads up 😜
@@baker6928 Thanks for the super detailed comment :D
Can I get your instagram or some sort of other thing, so that I could ask you for something else incase I need help? :)
1:12 also k20z2 in Europe
Yeah I've had a couple of people say that - because I don't live there and there's very little information out there, it is hard to cover every corner. But thanks for the info!
@@KiwiCarLife i own one of them, is very similar with k20a6, but with drive by wire throttle.
No bad honda accord, all versions is amazing.. but i can't decid to bay, 7 or 8 ...
Agreed, they are all solid vehicles

@@ransackmaori5725 oh yeah all good haha - nice car!
Correction for you: Accord Euro was manufactured from November 2002 :)
Yes, however in NZ they didn't go on sale until February 2003.... I can only really speak for the country I live in. And I thought I mentioned in the video the CL8 and CM1? Or are you talking about another model with the same chassis code?
@@KiwiCarLife yeah I saw you mentioned those CL8 and CM1 later in the video. :)
But yeah the Euro starts at November 2002. In New Zealand you can buy car that was made in 2002 and registered as 2003. Not in Japan, if the car made in 2002 then it will be registered as 2002. But NZ model year came out with 2003 even though it was a 2002. I hope I explained it correctly 😂
@@maxxibro Yeah nah makes sense. That's the case with a lot of cars if they are built late in the year. By the time they get here and are registered, it's the next year.
@@KiwiCarLife Yep, that's definitely be it. How's Wellywood? Here in Hamilton things are getting back to the old way, well slowly.

Yeah the CU3 type s 2.2 diesel 180bhp stock that’s the one I have great car to drive just looking to get new tyres on it maybe pilot sport 3 or 4 but there pricey have To think about it… but great car motorway cruiser at its best 😀
Ps4's are good but I think there are better tyres for the price like re003s or Hankook ventus v2 concept 2
You can't beat PS4's; but as an alternative try Goodyear Eagle F1's, I highly recommend them. Uniroyal Rain-sports are also good tyres. If you're on a budget, try NEXEN.
