I still haven’t finished the video, but one thing I know for sure by now is that The Poison Song is a 7 part series written by Bristin Xel detailing a historically inaccurate epic saga set in the aftermath of the war between the Dwemer and House Dagoth.

Being a smooth brain, I used to rewind a lot while watching these CCC videos to try and fully grasp what Camel is saying during some of the more intense word play, but now I just let it play and contently acknowledge that I have no idea what he said and continue to enjoy the background footage. Akin to a child enjoying the pictures in a kid's book, despite not really understanding what's going on.

I mean no disrespect to the video's author, but the problem is him, not you. If the man's gonna commit to using purple prose, the least he can do is use words correctly. I mean, he uses "non-euclidean" at around 13:05 to describe the absence of typical flora or fauna, despite that having nothing to do with the term. Non-euclidean geometry is just geometry on a curved surface.
He knew it was a word associated with Lovecraft's work and just went for it. And this is an issue with the whole video (or at least the first half hour or so; it was annoying me too much), like when he used the word cyclopean to mean big rather than monocular to describe a twisting tower of books. If he wanted a big word to describe it, he could've used brobdingnagian for its size or anfractuous for its winding shape.
Without all the forced alliteration and frustratingly misused vocabulary, the video could have easily been half the length if the amount I watched was anything to go by.
Maybe the misuse is the point, meant to show him going mad from dwelling within Apocrypha for too long, but it just came off as ignorant.
Last I watched his stuff was a couple years ago. I don't remember this channel's videos suffering from this kind of quality control. Hopefully this is just a fluke.

I typically ignore youtuber's when they give the whole "help me with the algorithm by liking and commenting" bit, but I know how long you've been working on this and it should be promoted so you're rewarded for it. Your content is definitely worth it even though I haven't played Skyrim in years; I wouldn't be subscribed otherwise.

I wanted Elder Scrolls VI to be set in the land of the Akaviri, but that apparently will not happen. Would have worked nicely, what with VI being right there in Akaviri and all. The amount of ephemeral lore that would have to be solidified, the new races that would have to be fleshed out, the flora and fauna that would be generated, different terrain and building designs…I would love to have seen it, but that must have been too daunting a task when a redguard game could have been so much easier.

It's a shame you never found any books from "The Poison Song" series. Authored by Bristin Xel - it is an epic saga set in the aftermath of the war between the Dwemer and House Dagoth. Though these books are a tale for the ages, they are actually a wildly inaccurate historical representation of the true events.

This video could be used to teach someone the entire English language.
Ah, man. Now I want the transcript so I can get the headwords (unique words) count. The average person knows roughly ~25000 words. The average words per minute when speaking is 150 for English. So Camel's script for this is roughly 52000 words. I'm betting he hit a HUGE percentage of the average vocab.

The Poison Song is what really drives people trapped in Apocrypha to madness isn't it?
I have trouble sleeping due to chronic pain and anxiety and your CCC series (especially this video) is pretty much the only thing that consistently gets my brain to shut up and listen until it lets me fall asleep. You put a lot of effort into your videos and it shows. I can pay attention for a few hours or simply let the alliteration and the flow lull me to sleep just as easily. It's really something I haven't gotten anywhere else, and I really appreciate it.

The usage of unusual words that take a long time to learn, and sound maddening when listened to, is a good touch. It fits rather well with the theme of knowledge driving one insane, as Apocrypha is known for.
He does it in all the Curating Curiosities. It kinda throws me off, especially when the adjectives don't fit haha Like, can you have a Pugnacious Post?

Thank you for making this video, Apocrypha gives me anxiety and I just run through it without exploring until I'm done as quickly as possible so this was really nice seeing the details and loot i could've gotten haha
Lol here I thought I was the only one. Something about it just feels claustrophobic yet endlessly vast at the same time. It’s so easy to get lost and turned around in there and with the seekers chasing after you it makes it even more nerve wracking

If was forced to live in a Plane of Oblivion my 3 favorite are: Sanguine's Realms, Hircine's Realm, and Apocrypha.
Additionally in Apocrypha if you are wearing Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking you can technically walk on that "Ocean" still hurts you but if you keep spamming healing/healing potions then is fine-ish.
My choice of Black Book powers is: Companions Insight, Black Market, Seeker of Sorcery (When magic character), Dragonborn Flame, Mora's Boon, Secret of Protection. Those are always my choices except for Seeker of Sorcery which I only choose when heavily magic based character otherwise always choose Seeker of Might.
Of course Sheogorath has met himself. But when he did, neither of his selves were really themselves

This lore video is so amazingly written. I do love elder scrolls lore, but just the constant alliteration makes this “lore” essay a prose poem. This is easy going, comforting, compelling, yet it’s so complex.
This is a menagerie of slight rhymes, lyrics, Herculean word choices, tongue twisters, and a spell binding tone. Fuck the deep depths of lore, just the writing and the magnificent prose should be praised for how much effort was put into its making.
I’m a huge fan of long videos about video game moral essays, historians going into philosophical tangents, and the deep meaning in darker art.
I love horror, and especially Lovecraftian horror. The most important thing in Lovecraft’s or Lovecraft’s constant imitations of people who inspired him, is his writing prose. I love his dream cycle and Dunsanian prose. He is fantastic and captivating and I would say Celephais is a much better tell than Herbert West Reanimator. So for you to focus on the realm of a bibliophilac eldritch god is most fitting for the style of a maddened yet poetic lovecraftian tale.
There is not enough emotions to express how every single syllable is grasping yet graceful. It has a feeling of constant descending into madness yet it fills motionless. It grab your neurons with teasing allure.
You sir are at the most pentacle part of your proper yet peculiar promenades in the promising yet blossoming masquerades. You are a fantastic storyteller Cammelworks!
