What do you think is the biggest tech fail ever!?
To the person who is seeing this you are amazing 😉

How is this comment 3 days ago?
(The video was probably unlisted when it was uploaded, left this comment then published it publicly today. Yes, I just answered my own question)
“Vegeta, what does the Google glass say about how many of them we’ll sell?” “It’s under 9,000”.
I wish I had more than 16 subscribers for my birthday
Under 900 is indeed under 9,000 😂
"UNDER NINE HUNDREEEEEED!" *Crushes Google glass*
@@nerosteel5786 WHAT 900 HUNDRED THAT ISNT RIGHT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE 700
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was immortalized and modded into GTA 5 as a cellphone grenade. Priceless!
Nice
That's probably the only good thing that came out of that phone. Does anyone know if the mod is still around?
I heard this mod got into a lot of trouble because *it was offensive to Note 7 victims* . People who bought a Note 7 and had it explode wouldn't find it funny.
I had a pic of the iPhone 7 that came out around the same time, and the caption read “it doesn’t explode”.
@@connorwittrig1327 it's still around, when I played GTA 5 I altered the Note 7 screen to be the actual call screen for my girlfriend at the time. U can put any image on there. Funny stuff. Only worked in single player mode tho
I received Blockbuster Total Access as a birthday gift. At first it was awesome. My local Blockbuster franchise honored the trade in feature. You could also use it for games as well. I liked that because I wasn't that big into playing through every game. Things dropped off when I realized that most of the movies I actually wanted to rent weren't the newest ones that stores had in bulk but older movies they didn't always carry. Once my local franchise folded I switched to Netflix. That's also when they started streaming. I haven't looked back.
I see from the thumbnail that The Dragon Ball Z Scouters was a bust in real life, Dang LOL 😂
It's because it cost over $9,000.
It's over 9000
🤳👀😂🤣🤣👍👍
Kakarott the power level is over 9000

Orkut was HUGE in Brazil. Nobody had myspace here
Ya before facebook we had orkut
orkut means "orgasms" in Finnish
Remember when I went to Brazil nobody knew about Facebook even though Facebook was older , I just heard orkuti :)
@@hentehoo27 "kut" in orkut means pussy where I live 🤣
Big in India
Google glass was hilariously bad
And Google stadia?
I still kinda want one
I live in Nebraska and there was one guy who wore Google glass. He kept saying it was the future and everything, he hanged out with my friends and I rolled with it. Well one night while he was showing off that he can do anything and see everything, he walked into a light post and broke them. I couldn't stop laughing.
@@TidusX16 🤣🤣
The technology was eventually put in most Android phones and is now called Google Lens.
Remember when Blockbuster had DVD rental machines? I forget what year it was, but it was in the 00's or early 10's.
A honorable mention would be the Nokia Lumia with the Windows Phone, I had one, and while having a lot of potential and amazing cameras, the different approach for developers and all out disdain from Microsoft for it made it impossible to use
I feel like only good thing about Nokia phones towards the end was the cameras. Just a big failure to adapt to changing markets like them sticking with old OS. Saddest thing is they had touch screens years before first LG and later Iphones came out with them but thought they would never sell... Yikes.
The only thing I loved about my Microsoft Lumia was the battery life. It would last days even when used a lot. My iPhone will only last a day at most.
Just imagine how amazing Windows Phone 11 would be with the current design. All we can do is imagine at this point.
Lumia was great phone! I hold it for too long. At the end i didn't have any choice but to replace it 😕
I remember Apple Maps. One time, while connected to a cell tower only a few hundred feet away, it said I was in a city 100 miles from where I actually was. It was hilariously bad.
Apple Maps: They'll make you drive your car into a lake.
Just Some Guy with a Mustache ATMOS!
Lol
“The machine knows!!!” - Michael Scott
And make you stranded in a desert
Sir Clive was just 40 years ahead of his time, his trike was a complete failure then, but if you look at most pushbikes on the road today, they are electric assist and pretty much using the same technology and I loved the ZX-Speccy and it was the only computer my family could afford for me, so I won't say a bad word about the guy.
That last one seems less like a flop and more like fraud. It was like the Fyre Festival of medical equipment.
She is probably in charge of vaccines now.
Strange how almost all of these are either phones, computers, or game systems.
Goes to show how something simple like the SlapChop will always be a best-seller.
....this is a tech video?? Of course it’s going to focus on the first things people think of when they hear the word ‘tech’
So instead of building a roof for the Sinclair C5, they decided to just give you a sleeve and a jacket to wear? 😂
If they added walls or roof like a golf cart it would have more successful
Right, that's that British genius right there. You'd think they would have figured that basic concept out, considering they live in a country like england where it rains 24/7
Sinclair is so compact that not even a single twenty something would want it since you can't even store your purse, much less groceries.
11:53 the CD I may be an objective failure but the memes we got of it just don't die
I'd add the Segway to this list. When it was released it was supposed to revolutionize the way humanity traveled around. Unfortunately towns and municipalities quickly banned it from being used on public sideways and roadways. It became a novelty.
Not to mention its creator flew off a cliff and died while showcasing it.
@@AluminumFusion22 Dean kamen, the creator/inventor of the Segway is alive and well. The guy who died, Jimi Heselden, had purchased the Segway company from Kamen then promptly drove off a cliff apparently.
@@mcallahan9060 Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate it! 😊
However electric unicycles exist because of segway.
Wow, the Google+ ad, tho: “And, like, you think, you know, like, these people matter, and these don’t...”
Apples Maps had a friend of mine located smack dab in the Red River. Her home was not a houseboat and wasn’t In the Red River.
In all fairness. The first Zune was actually really good for the time. I think it was 40 or 60 gigs. At this time, it was rare to have a device that could play tv shows in your car, from a hand held device. Smart phones wernt there yet. Then the next model came out... and it was a meer 2 or 4 gigs, and had a smaller viewing scene. So yes, they had no innovation.
The Sinclair C5 thing looks really cool. They should bring it back, with an improved design and increased speed capability. It would probably do better now than back then.
They should
The renault twizy is kind of similar. Look for some pictures of it. I guess you can only get it here in europe and you don't see it that often on the streets.
It's a good idea it just needs a redesign it looks ugly and you look really stupid while riding it. In this day and age with electric vehicles becoming more common and more practical it could easily become a winning idea especially in the college/high school age range and in beach towns I can see tons of people riding them to the boardwalk and on the boardwalk in the bike lane. It's also nice that if it breaks down or runs out electricity you can just walk it somewhere that has an outlet you can use or you could carry a spare charged battery with you.
They are better newer versions in the EV market now with roofs. Look up the Solo
Electric unicycle beats it
I'm waiting for Stadia to be in there, 3 years later. God it was a faliure
Edit in 2022: I just realized I actually called this one almost spot on. In 2022 as of writing
Bullet dodged
It’s dead now
You called this one!
I'm surprised the Segway scooter wasn't on this list.
@@Monstylicious Who hell thought we needed a vehicle that moves at walking speed?
Oh, speaking of segways. . .
Seriously kick-scooters are pretty cool because they are less accident prone than scateboards and take up very little space. However, yeah only popular in asia.
@@aoeu256 Kick scooters are cool I would agree. I'm talking about the segway scooter, the one you see mall cops riding around on.
@@dashkataey1740 Thats why the arent on the list i would imagine. Every mall cop in america is on one lol
They should've add the google stadia
Although I already think it's a failure, I think they're waiting to see if it can turn around however I doubt that.
@@olddogmaster6643 it still did well. Because of very playable games.
For one isn't it supposed to have unique titles? I swear I've seen it with Nintendo games
@@Zero_0ne well? Bruh everyone forgotten about after the first month.
Not too mention the Stadia is a pretty bad product which is why I mentioned it.
Bad frame rate, the fact that you have to buy games on top of the subscription fee, Input lag(where the command comes out late after pressing a button). Not too mention the titles they have suck compare to the Xbox game pass.
@@g0ddish434 Oh!! I forgotten that part. It's great that I don't have that console.
I remember the Blockbuster mail service when I was actually working there. We knew the company was on the way down because their strategy was to get people to rent more videos in the stores. So, when they introduced the free rental for each return it became obvious that people were actually renting less. People also figured out that if they got the highest tier at around $25 per month they got near unlimited rentals between mail and returns. The top tier gave you 5 movies out at a time, so, if you timed it right you'd get a new movie in the mail every day or two and then return it to the store to get another rental.
Yo, blockbuster online was legit. Instead of returning my dvd through the mail and waiting for the next one. I’d take it to my blockbuster, switch it for a DVD in store , AND have a new one on the way via mail.
Just think, what would've happened if Blockbuster had actually bought Netflix when they had the chance to. Oh the possibilities.
But you actually had to go to the store...ugh. Blessed be Netflix (and pirated stuff)
danielucha1310 you didn’t have to, you could just put it in the mailbox as well.
I did the Same.
🤘🤠
Crappy online selection though. If you wanted rarer niche stuff (the best part of online DVD services, getting stuff you can't find at the store). I was and still am an anime watcher. Blockbuster would almost never have an entire series.
And as the video explained- patently unlegit if your store didn't participate.
I had a Zune because it would let me download songs IPod didn’t when I attended college. Crazy how time flies😁
I don't even understand foldable phones cause like no one has ever been at wal mart like "oh i need to use a massive screen to read my grocey list"
but there is millions and millions of people out there watching videos, even netflix, on their phones, so a bigger screen, but still fits in your pocket would be great for them.. if apple made one, the iphone sheeps would buy them like crazy.
Unless I'm mistaken, the Philips CDi console was quite well known... or rather infamous amongst fans of Nintendo's Legend of Zelda games...
UGH. My dad had a Palm Pre and constantly called it an "iPhone Killer." Hated that stupid toy phone.
Eventually we all got samsung phones.:P
I loved my Palm Pre
Samsung sucks tho!
@@ShadowX40 My dad loved it, too, but for him it was incredibly glitchy and missed calls all the time. Very bad when you are running a business. :(
@@theweirdpersonagent3005 I prefer it and all of my widgets to how Apple organizes its user interface. I'm not married to either product per say, and both have their flaws, but I love being able to just look at my weather instead of having to go into a folder to go into an app to then leave the app to go to another folder to then look at my calendar.
The Palm Pre and webOS was way ahead of its time. The fact that the iPhone uses the same cards and gestures webOS did some ten years prior to the iPhone underlines this fact. It's a legitimate shame HP ran Palm into the ground. RIP in peace, PALM...
You know what's weird Star-Lord has a Zune and it works fine so maybe Yondu made sure he got the best Zune and the market or got it fixed so Star-Lord wouldn't have any trouble with it because it worked well for him in guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers Infinity War, and for his friend Rocket in Avengers Endgame.
3D TVs
Curved tvs too ewwwwww
@@criticalhard yeh, at least smart TVs caught on, that's for sure.
Have my 4K 3d Curved 64" and love it. Wouldn't give it up for anything.
@@dinocub1 I feel like curved TVs are a bit of a niche design. But I have one and think it's awesome! 🤘
Them shits hurt my eyes.
I LOVED the Zune so much! It was also much more affordable in my area compared to the iPods at the time. Man, I miss mine :(
The commentator on the Google+ presentation drove me nuts... how many times can you say “like” in one sentence?!
Apple Maps: They'll make you drive your car into a lake.
There used to be a Blockbuster by my house. It is now a Buffalo Wild Wings.
Elizabeth Holmes was trying to sound like Steve Jobs. True. 😂😂😂
Ummm. Same black turtleneck.
Ikr 😂 😂 😂
LOL Philips put out a GREAT 20" monitor that came with a computer I bought. It lasted longer than the computer it came with. It lasted 20 years and always had a better picture than brand new monitors that came out after it. When I finally found a better monitor it was still working but I just put it to the side.
UA-cam TV/Premium! At least u could have added it in the dishonorable section 😆
Why the double ads though? Forcing me to fork 12 bucks for no ads other things is insane to say the least
Great video and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
Not going to lie... a sinclair c5 would be pretty damn awesome to have.
True they should bring it back would have bought it
I live in a very rural area. Very light traffic. I want one!
Blockbuster's punitive late fee killed them faster than Netflix did.
Blockbuster got me into the transformers fandom
That clip between Maps & Zune that referenced both. classic!
Love your videos
I remember Zune being a part of the PS3. That app never let me play my own music. I had to use Zune and download the music I wanted to listen to. Even then it wouldn't play them sometimes. Highly annoying.
Unfortunately the D-Pad on my Zune stopped working after 6 years. 🙁
Get a zune hd. Their built like tanks.
@@vamwolf Thanks.
I was working in the mobile department at best buy when the note 7 came out. Funniest few months of my life.
Best episode I have seen yet!
2:09 There’s one error in the video so far. No # display and name
If this video was made today, there should be the Metaverse on the list.
If you google "iphone catches fire" and any iteration since the iPhone 3g. They all had phones that caught fire even in planes. Hmmmm
I love the Sinclair C5 and we need to bring them back into production.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7: The phone that will BLOW you away. No, really.
Thankfully that didn't happen to me when I got it
The phone was immortalized and modded into GTA 5 as a cellphone grenade. Priceless!
You actually missed the biggest flaw that killed the beta video system, SONY.
Sony would NOT license others to make players, the VHS systems were made by a multitude of companies.
Another reason for Betamax losing out was the difference in licensing costs. VHS was basically free.
Apple Maps in 2017 took me into a wall and said that my location was further forward through the wall
Can you really call Theranos a tech failure when the tech never existed in the first place?
If a tree falls in the forest...
Would anyone be around to hear it?
3:00 recently my mom found the price is right tv show she watched when she was little, and ironically the episode she showed us had those things 😂
Orkut was not a disaster. It was the main stream social media in Brazil for many years. Everybody had an account. Facebook had to fight hard to beat it. I still miss the communities of Orkut. That was something that make us more human and collaborative than the selfish Facebook and Instagram.

What would happen if these tech products were made better and improved?
Some products failed from bad management (Windows Phone), but these failed from their sketch.
13:02 Netflix got the Last Laugh on Blockbuster in the end, lol.
I believe Google Glass has just switched focus to a business/scientific lab use. A tool to keep info and apps handy for scientists and other workers working with their hands.
@9:20 ooh grandma 👵🏻 what is that thing 😂 🤣 😂 🤣
I really liked the Zune. You could find out more about the artists as you listened to the music. I only bought an Ipod when they discontinued the Zune.
Why would you buy an Ipod? Just use a phone or any number of MP3 players that aren't locked to Itunes/Apple Music.
@@encycl07pedia- I don't like iPhone, but I liked a device for podcasts. Still prefer music off my phone and on an mp3 player.

I had the CD-i and loved playing golf and Battleship on it. It was the only thing my dad and I did together before we had a huge falling out.

Once upon a time I to had a Zune. It was great. I loved it. It was easy to add music and it stayed charged forever.
I loved Beta. Stuck with it till DVD.
In the future can you guys PLEASE put in more commercials?! There's not nearly enough
I firmly believe YT is purposely adding more and more commercials to piss us off enough to sign up for premium. Sure, some channels use the ads for money, but not everyone. Still at it's (mostly) YT behind it. Greedy f-ers

Jesus, Orkut was a big hit here in Brazil! So many Memories...
This is maybe why it was shut down or something 😅
Orkut was sooooo popular in Brazil. I miss it so much
9:07 Makes me think of Oregon Trail...
I saw one of the C5 single person cars the other day at a car show, featuring historic electric vehicles.
Correction, Betamax lost the format war against VHS due to Sony refusing to license Betamax to other home electronics manufacturers. Sony wanted to be the exclusive manufacturer of its Betamax player. JVC, on the other hand, licensed VHS to anyone who wanted it. So why would the consumer pay twice as much for a Sony Betamax when JVC, Phillips, Magnavox, GE, RCA, Westinghouse, and Zenith were all selling VHS players/recorders at half the price?
Yep. But I liked Betamax so much I stuck with it until DVDs.
I Had the 1st gen Zune, screen on it was amazing.

Ah yes, the Thunderf00t list. Those are crowdfunded failures. Nowhere near these products.
Don't forget the road the built with old tires in the middle. The rusting steel belt would produce heat allowing the road to resist having ice form and snow to stick due to the heat given off. Sounds good right? Recycling, using the process of the decay of unusable waste to help people..... Except when summer came the road heat from the process added to the sunlight heating cause the road to soften and even catch fire!
