Aida a Real one Fasho! You gotta teach ur kids book smarts & Street smarts. Street smarts come from being from the hood and having that natural instinct. Definitely a New Fan and gonna check out all her stand up shows this was a Great interview ❤
I think is nice to see all of Bill. In HBO and in You Tube! It’s another way to get to know him through Club random. Is relaxing and laidback environment, which we ALL need!!!!
Really enjoyed this ep, had no idea who Aida was, but since watching have been able to find some clips of her and love her already! Such realness to her, when she’s speaking you can tell she isn’t bullshiting, so refreshing in this day. So agree with her on Martin short in his SVU episode, it was 16 years ago and I’m still freaked out by how amazing he played a baddie. Great work bill and Aida 💕👏
Aida I hope you know, the way to make it to where we can have the nuanced conversations, is to just have them while the kids scream in the back. You've got this
Definitely an hour too short but they be there 3hors and that's wat time they get after editing I'm guesstimate, might be wrong but wat other way does he put it down.
Pet peeve but a serious question as well. Because the guest of Bill did it early in the conversation. For a very long time I've noticed that words with the letter "T" in them such as IMPORTANT no longer have the "T" clearly pronounced with the "Ta" sound. It comes out now with persons under 50 as IMPOR- ENT. T not spoken or said very softly. Someone told me this is an African-American idiom of speech which through hip-hop and rap migrated to white young people starting in the late 1970's and is now said by all races. It's IM-POR-TTTTANT!
I wish I could see her stand-up on Netflix. She's awesome. I also wish she would accept how intelligent and beautiful she really is. I'll sit next to you! Yet another great podcast... wish it was longer.
I got to give Bill Maher credit he calls out people on both sides he all he does he mostly proves the facts and why I do not have no political party because like he mostly says they're both full of it
Holy shit I never paid attention to those before. You'd prolly find a teener of coke stuffed down in the cushion that he lost back in 85 that's for sure
Aida is so awesome, super surprised Bill had her on. Generally take bill with a side eye look, I am his age and would prefer to have a beer and talk to Aida.
Bill is getting a much better handle on this type dynamic. Was not initially a fun of CR. It appeared he was trying a bit TOO hard to be casual. (Imo) Now I look forward to these big time.
Hey Auntie! Isn't it cool when they realise they don't have a name for you? And then show you the courtesy of calling you what you want to be called... well.... nah...it's just a basic courtesy...the fucking tools....
The body uses most energy on the brain, not digestion as Mr. Maher suggested. Also, I noticed Bill seems to defer to science and medicine on this interview, but not when it comes to Covid research in other interviews.
Gosh those laser lights are annoying on video. They are annoying IRL as well but they are doubly annoying when you're watching a video. Would be great to not have them shown any more.
Actually, breathing uses up the most energy, along with liver and brain. Digestion does take up a significant amount of energy but not as much as breathing (and thinking).
@@raquelcolon5785 He always talked about getting stoned and selling weed at Cornell. But you don't expect to see him actually stoned ,do you? Even on CR, he's still perfectly coherent .
Everyone has private areas. Bill had a writer in his home once for a long interview in print. He didn't seem to like Bill but talked of his privacy, lack of stuff in house, choice of books, statues, food. After reading very long article I realized why he liked being alone. lol
You have definitely seen his stoned ass life. He is stoned on Real Time and the podcast. Some smoke daily and build a tolerance. Some use it for medicinal purposes and recreational I guess. It’s a lifestyle or life choice. Bill is just an ever evolving and learning laugh machine that ? Well obviously the fuel is weed and man he just hums along like a Ferrari. Saw him live and he was funny. Of course moronic protesters (about 20 😂) screaming with signs because ? He is atheist? Or a Lefty ? Which he really isn’t. He’s like most who think both sides have extremists but the right are just lunatics while the democrats are mostly lunatics but still have a few democrats and old republicans that don’t buy the crazy that are among a big party that just wants to keep their power and money flowing to themselves and not anyone else!
One true virtue about the Internet is our access to tv shows from any decade. I watched every I SPY episode, and Cosby was so good alongside Robert Culp, both as an improvisational comic and a dramatic actor, that it actually does break my heart learning the dirt about the real Bill Cosby. That series, btw, was groundbreaking during an era when Jim Crow still dominated the mindset of so much of the country; bringing in many great guest actors who were racially diverse. Black, Asian, Hispanic - and without stereotyping. We can't "shut out" I SPY for that reason, even though it's sometimes a challenge to separate Alexander Scott from the Bill Cosby we've grown to know as we're watching an episode. Is it so unlike separating a great author you might be reading who was utter shit as a human being? Like Hemingway or Dostoevsky?
Oh, Mr. Bill, I do like the podcasts, but the problem is that watching it every week, half of the monologue (yours) is mad repetitive. Why not try other topics, like the differences between alligators and crocodiles or why you have electronic fireflies buzzing about your eyes?
Thank you both Aida and Bill for letting us listen in and watch your get together. It was fun.
Had a blast, enjoyed the conversation!!!
Thanks, I didin´t know Aida but I just loved her, so smart and chilled, she does carry herself well, what a beautiful person, cheers!
