😂😂 to the people thats commenting about how bad UPS is..How about Ive been there 3 yrs now and have worked in the hub, did driver's helper, and became a TCD driver..I had a roll away and had an accident my first day out alone driving..So i got put back in the hub doing package handling but I didnt give up..As of now, I start Feeder school in 4 days..Got my CDL Class A permit to start driving the big trucks..You people have no patience..UPS is the best thing going to the newcomers I know how the supervisors n managers are but see the bigger picture because I did..Now I'm 2 weeks away from making more than my supervisors and managers
@@adriantomlin2902 you got to have patience..It's a job just like every other company..UPS just so happens to pay their drivers more..It's worth the effort to push yourself and do what's right..Trust
I worked in the warehouse as preloader for almost 2 years and got my DL back after being suspended for a good few years and now have been driving ground package cars for 3 months and cant say i have any regrets. I have a GED and im a felon so if i can do it anyone can. Like the man said you just have to be patient and keep your eye on the big picture.
@FunkinTaco it was my first road test before any classes. No 10s we're covered during the road test but I worked at worldport and was tug certified so I was familiar with the 5s and most of the 10s to me are self explanatory. I just made sure to ask questions I was unsure about like "if I'm the first at a red light, do I wait 3 seconds as if there was a vehicle ahead of me or just clear left then right then left again before beginning?"
So I hear you can become a driver after one or two seasons whether it's a helper, warehouse or personal vehicle driver. Can someone explain the best way to become a driver.
I was able to apply straight for the driver position because of the massive labor shortages the pandemic has brought on. I have my road test next Saturday. I heard the 30 day trial period after the classes is the real challenge. I have high hopes and I’m also moving 200 miles away for this job.
@@johnnywaffles2482 some tips. Keep your health and feet well maintained. Don’t stress or get overwhelmed from what you see on your truck (during your 30 days). Come in 1:30 before your shift to sort out your truck so you can scratch your route. Drink plenty of water. Follow the methods because they work. Study your 5s and 10s.
Omar Gonzalez Yea ya wanna know why Omar?! 1st Those idiot teachers in Integrad were never or at the very least short timers as fricken drivers. Every driver I talked to when they returned from school and went to work told me that what they learned in school isn't even close to the real job!!!
@@abcdaw22 yes you need to remember it word for word. 5 seeing habits and 10 point commentary. But it also depends on what instructor you get. If they are cool or not. If they are cool they just want you to give a brief description of the 10 points. But if they aren't just remeber it to cover your ass. So don't forget 10 points word for word and 5 seeing habits word for word you will be standing in front of the class saying these out loud it sucks..lol

Everything you just looked at is one big lie to the public. I worked at UPS for 2 years. The worst experience of my life. You're just a fucking number there, the pay is miserable considering the amount of work and time involved.
