At 0:18--I don't think she was telling him to keep up. On the original video which allows you to hear the conversation, she is asking him (at the end of mvt 1 - Prokofiev 3) if she was too fast!
But her attitude, facial expression and mannerisms doesn't look like she is asking Charles a question,it looks like she is upset about something and she is letting him know. And the smile he gives her back does not look like he is responding to a simple musical question like am I playing too fast. I am not saying you're wrong, you speak French and I don't, but It just doesn't look like what you are saying. And why would someone make a video of Martha Argarich using subtitles to put words in her mouth that are supposed to be funny?That seems incredibly disrespectful and any true fan of Martha Argarich would never in a million years do something like that. Later in the video the subtitles have her saying "mama needs a bath" is that what she really said"? What about when she asks Charles "are you going to be staying in Europe for a while"and he says"I'm going to Los Angeles tomorrow" and she looks disappointed? Was that what they really said?
