That record was played every day or night through high school (remember stacking albums on a spindle?) along w/ Beatles, Doors, Dead, Jethro Tull... I've heard different recordings and they all seem to be missing something. "Mad about," indeed. To bad I never even heard of Martha before Beato popularized her...

Sexy more in the sence of "cool". The pianist lady are more glamour girls, showing more skin and make-up. Such an alternative "sexiness" we can see here can not convince a jury of a piano competition.

She programmed the Amajor Sonata earlier in her career I've not heard her in it . Will she ever give us another Scarlatti sonata or some more Scriabin. Amazing that we have Prometheus! I'm sure Guldaand Scaramuzza gave her many of them but she plays what she feels she can do on the highest level. Will not play Beeth no.3 concerto. We think we know her - we don't . It takes a lot to travel from hotel to hotel and have children , parents and friends and yet be on run from concert and that means practicing often .
