The bulk cost of a fully shelled 3395 mouse is 15$usd atm (i dropship via amazon), keep in mind that bulk price still has a profit margin for the factory, it's a big reason chinese factories realized they could sell mice for a fraction of the cost since US retailers got a bit greedy

They are able to trim down the price so much due to sheer numbers and reusability. For smaller brands, just the mcu and sensor alone would close to double that (still in bulk pricing). Software as well. The CompX firmware, while not amazing, is dirt cheap compared to in-house firmware and generic enough to be used any and everywhere with just brand and model name changes.
All in all, still definitely agree with you on the greediness of bigger manufacturers. I can understand why something like the Arye FCC can go upwards of 200$, but others, even some chinese mice do feel exaggerated (though we're too mouse-pilled and buy them anyways).

The first high-quality gaming mouse I owned was a Darmoshark M3-4K, which I was able to purchase for less than $30 with shipping. A G Pro or a DAV3 would cost, and I kid you not, more than $200 in Brazil due to import tax. The Viper V3 Pro is being sold for $350 at official Razer retailers here. So, if it weren't for cheap Chinese mice, I would never have been able to truly understand the difference good peripherals made in my gameplay and would never have gotten into the hobby of collecting mice and mousepads.

Those are some insane prices! I own both the darmoshark M3 and the M3 S Varun. Both decent mice that do a great job for all purposes. I’m very glad that they exist to make peripherals accessible.

It's pretty chill listening to your voice. Audio quality is a lot better now compared to your first video.

Thank you 😁 I had selected the wrong polar pattern so it was only coming through from one speaker, it’s all a learning process!
Your feedback means a lot, whether it’s positive or negative!

Gaming mouse can be expensive, but even if you want a name brand you can get one that's maybe few g heavier and 2ms slower(you won't notice in real world use) for £20-40 on sale. Razer Viper/8K/mini/cobra/deathadder, Logitech g305/502/203 or Steelseries rival 3/prime come to mind first. You have plenty of esport athletes that are using couple years old mice. The improvements are barely noticeable even for them, so it's just not worth taking the time getting used to the new shape/weight.
Most importantly, don't let the marketing trick you.

Great vid! Any opinion on chinese gaming mice, if so, will you make a video about it?

Thank you! I think quality varies wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer, but they're a net good for lowering the price of the big boys and creating competition. WLmouse is a great example of a Chinese manufacturer doing something that rivals Razer for significantly less with the BeastX. I'm definitely open to doing a video on it, it's an interesting market.

I bought a mm720 from cooler master for 20€ and it is perfectly fine gaming mouse, there is no point in buying at those inflated prices

Check out VXE/VGN wireless mice as well. They are amazing and have a similar shape to the MM720.
