The 3-4 beers comment got me, as a German, as well! :) I live nearby a rather small town ... man, we already got 3 different breweries/brands in our town. One of them has really high quality beer! It won the gold award for "Best European Style Beer", gold award for "Best German Style Beer" and won gold at the "World Beer Cup". And this might shock you the most: a bottle of beer (half liter size) costs less than $1 ... :)

I live near two British airbases leased to the USAF. The new American service personnel that come to our pubs can't handle the strength of UK beer and our larger measures than the US has. We'll drink 8 pints and they fade out by 5 pints. US beer is like drinking tap water to us Brits.

Plenty of craft beers also. I also find the best Guiness is in Ireland and a number of pubs are known for a good pint of the blackstuff, never tastes the same when abroad.

I got to go to Ireland a few times, and I can say for sure the beer is Ireland is better. There is nothing like having a pint with dinner and talking with the locals. Guinness is a favorite sit down beer for me, but with a meal I liked Harp Beer. It seemed to be popular in the Pubs too. And as for pubs - They are not a bunch of drunks like Americans portray, but they are a lunch or dinner spot as well. Ireland (South) is rich in history and friendly people everywhere. In the North, you had to be cautious of your surroundings and it was best to stay in at night (2006). That was mainly in Derry though, Belfast was very friendly. Once the young hooligans as they say understood I was American and not English, they wanted to sit and have a pint and hear about our country. Nice guys, just a bit of tension there if you don't be careful. But that was not that long after peace came to the region, I hope things are even better now!
The beer in Ireland is different than what is exported, and it makes a HUGE difference. Maybe it is a small part of Ireland running through my veins 🍀

If you're a fan of Pilsner beers ("Lager), you can't do better than beer from Germany or The Czech Republic - including Budweiser Budvar. That's the proper Budweiser from Prague. But the "Bud" brewed in The UK is stronger at 5% than it's American equivalent.
All German beer is good but Paulaner, Warsteiner, Erdinger are particularly tasty.
My favourite is beer from Belgium, you'll never tire of the variety.
Guiness make a 9% stout that will put hairs on your arse. Originally made for the journey from Ireland to Nigeria it can now be found all over.
Finally, to be a bit patriotic, British Ale is the best of it's type. Marstons Pedigree, Orkney Skullcracker, Theakstons Old Peculiar and anything from Fullers Brewery in London.
The beers I've just named, I've seen them all at some point in my journey's across the US., so you might find them in a good bar.
Just one thing my Colonial friends, always remember, if your beer comes out of a can it's probably piss and to be avoided.

3:30 You are actually not that wrong in the case of Slovakia (population of 5,4 million), even in 2009 more than 90% of the beer market belonged to two big international breweries and there were only 7 small ones. Now there is almost a 100 breweries in Slovakia and almost all of them, except like 4, are small, craft beers. But we do have lot of Czech beer here, which is in general considered better than the Slovak one (except Urpiner, which has beaten the Czech beers in a blind test in Czechia). I don't drink beer, so I have no personal experience with that.

I'm not Irish, but I know that Guiness isn't the go to beer all over Ireland, it depends on where you live, could be Kilkenny or Murphys or others.
As a Swede, we live in the Vodka belt so hard liquor is the way, when I was a child every other household had a machine to make vodka. I'm not into that myself, I prefer beer.
In the liquor stores you have a choise of around 200 beers, in a typical pub maybe 10 different on tap and 20 in bottles.
I know there is much more than Bud light and Millers in the US, when I was in Seattle I tried 5 or perhaps 10, i forget (go figure) different ales at a brewery, I believe they didn't sell those outside of WA, because they didn't pasteurize them

C´mon guys... Deftones, Korn, System of a Down.....do you think Europeans live in behalf of music in a cave or under a rock?
I will tell you something.... I saw all of them "live on stage" already in the mid 90ties, where Deftones + Korn were already "established bands" for years who I already have seen before in concert and "System of a Down" were "brand new" at that time...and what have you done back then??..just joking I can assume how old you are.
And about their Music Genre ..none of them is "Heavy Metal"
Deftones is "Nu Metal" even considered as one of the founders of "Nu Metal", System of a Down is "Alternative Metal" = basically a mix of Heavy Metal elements + Nu Metal elements + Hardrock elements" and Korn is also "Nu Metal" and also part of that small circle of bands who are considered as founders of "Nu Metal"
