How do you like your steak 🥩 cooked? You already know what I like 😉
I really like it slightly cooked, what restaurants would say is way too raw! :) Love all meat but have a weak spot for steak!
Medium for me. Great steaks!
Looks like another steakhouse I need to put on my visit list. Thanks, Chet.
Dang these steaks are HUGE! I need to try this place out ! Nice video Chet !
I remember when we would fly in from Houston in the late 1950’s. There was an very old black man that worked behind the glass case full of steaks. You picked the one you wanted. I remember he said he had worked on a riverboat on the Mississippi River. Great steaks, great memories.
Awesome story. Love old school places and stories like that.
The used to cook steaks on an 80 year smoker grill the way i remember it.
That's cool. Nothing like using a smoker as a grill.
I was 10 in 1979 and lived in Ballinger for one year but had the privilege to visit Luwake Inn maybe 3 times, we moved to southeast Tx but I never forgot about that delicious steak, fast forward 43 years and I live in North Central TX.. again and I wasted no time to visit it twice and it's just as good as I remembered it.
During the Stacy Dam (now Lake Owen Ivie) construction coverage, CRMWD"s Mr. Jake Pickle introduced me to Lowake Steak House. I'm still in his debt. That steak came out on an old-fashioned enamel dishpan instead of a fancy platter, and it hung off all the sides. About an inch and 5/8ths thick ... just remembering, my mouth waters. (No, we didn't get the big steaks. We got the 18-ounce "regular" steaks. Baked potato, side salad, ice tea, cobbler.)
Great Video
I don't know why but I like mine well done then I grab the hotspice and sauce and a cold drink yum yum.🥩😋🥃
Yum!
Hi
Looks delicious. They cut it up? That's different.
I thinks it just the Kansas city steak
The cut up steaks were steak trimmings.
🔥🔥🔥
This place is killer if you're a meat eater. Been there many times.
Does Bill Noelke still own it? I had no idea they moved to a different location. I loved that place back in the 90's. Last time i was there was probably 2002. We hunted on Bill's place on FM 1929 and on the Burk place south of Millersview on FM 2134 for 14 years until the big money guys came in and offered double what we were paying. I sure miss those day's.
Old Lowake seems like it was way different.
Bill was now it's kerry
@@TheDaytripper It was and i loved it. Miss those day's.
@@ericvillarreal1618 Is Kerry related to Bill? How is Bill? He was always a nice guy.
