I’ve only worn Le Male once and got a number of compliments. Personally, I love the smell! Le Male Le Parfume was not so favourable to my nose. It was quite strong even though I only sprayed once and made my nose “sting” after a couple of hours of wear. It was just to much and almost gave me a headache. Weird though, because all I’ve heard are raving reviews about Le Parfume
I have just been back to wearing OG Le Male, And still to this date one of the best fragrances of all time, I have never sampled Ultra Male or La Parfum, But Le Male all the way 👌🏼
The original one is clearly the winner. I think that you would be happy with the 2 that you mention, Hussein. Granted they are not the powerhouse performance and longevity of that fragrance era, but Ultra Male , Parfum version, and the Intense version still have the same DNA. Yes it has been tweaked and reformulated, but all three that I am speaking of are soild fragrances
Sadly, the reforms have weakened this once GREAT frag. I own a reform, but you have to spray it about six times to get a reasonable performance and it still lacks. The DNA is there , but modified. It’s still a great scent and probably in the top ten designers ever produced IMHO.

So if it was stronger before then the older formula was probably too strong for my tastes. I'm really into oldschool shaving soaps and this really nails that barbershop smell that I love. Thinking about getting the le male aftershave lol. My favorite fragrance dna for sure.
I still get 8-10-12 hours of longivity with the current Le Male on my skin and it club approved. Of course it isn't the 5-days of monsterous performance from back then but even on average 8 hours are pretty good for today. I still got compliments from the ladies I hooked up with late as 5am that I smell so good so so hot, even the girl-friends of the girl told me. I get pretty good sillage and projection of it and on average everyone could expect 7-9 hours of performance if you apply at least decently. Although, I agree it isn't the standard for clubbing anymore, you can still use it for nightouts, date and as your daily signature scent. Its masculine, clean, spicy, sweet the girls love it and are seduced that they will even tell you that this must be your signature scent. Of course Ultra Male and Le Male Le Parfum make the new clubbing beasts and kings, yet Le Male doesn't have to hide. Try Le Male for yourself, even retail parfumeries have it constantly on discounts because it is selling so good they could even sell it for a buck and become rich as hell.
Also people rend to think "spraying more will make it stronger where as it really muddies colognes down not letting them project. To be honest though I've tried this dupe called "bondage" and once I realized just to tap the spritzer it smelled like "LeMale EDP" fo 7 euros, but see people think bc it's a continuous spray that they spray it to long instead 9f tapping it. It's the cheapest,and one of the most complimented scents I wear in winter, and I even have the real one, but the dupe is better and has better sillage.
Excellent video and information. Still have a spare bottle from the late 90's, Omar!! The OG was the best. Love this line. I pretty well have most of their flankers in my collection ( minus the superman, popeye, LGBTQ , etc etc ). I still think that there is a place for the le Male line. I realized that it's how people spray it, you sprayed it instead of just tapping, people forget there is way way more actual "fragrance" in it than the real "EDT Le male" which like most EDTs are 80/ 20. So it takes a tap of the spritzer and you don't get the alcohol smell it doesn't cancel out, bc if you spray too much like that, it won't last at all, but that's a huge thing, people think the more they spray the more it will smell and that's not true. It's like guys who wear "1 million" and they brag but you can't smell it because they sprayed way too much, whereas if you just do the normal 5 sprays on whatever pulse points you get a way better and stronger scent and sillage.
First bought this back in 2015 after being introduced to it in a bar bathroom where the towel guy had fragrances. by that time the reviews were complaining that it nothing compared to the original batches and some people were suspicous they were getting fakes or replicas. But i took the risk and bought it. When i opened the bottle i ordered and sprayed it on i was skeptible for about 30 min to an hour, thought it was a little too soapy. But as it settled in it produced a sweet alluring fragrance that lasted and got sweeter all day. I also came across an earlier batch which was supposed to be more potent but to my disappointment it was actually not only more soapy smelling but wasn't as strong. People mention mint and vanilla as well in the original release but i don't detect these in either one. anyone know where to get a true original?
The "Dua Man" mentioned here has had it's name changed, apparently for legal reasons. It's now called "Dua Error 404". I have both vintage Le Male (which has been stored refrigerated) and Error 404, and they are indeed very similar. I also have Milton Lloyd "Bondage" which is a very inexpensive clone of Le Male. It's great value, but in my opinion not as good as "Error 404".
Not unless it's a pre 2004 batch. Amouage reflection is a total different scent in my opinion. Search for a vintage batch of le male or go for mancera instant crush.
@@SchoolOfScent much more to it than Baccarat Rouge in my opinion. It has the lavender and vanilla of le male minus the mint. It gives you the playful vibe of og le male with beast performance. Modern le male is watered down and a shadow of its former great self.

It does lack that minty freshness but for me it has many similarities. To me instant crush is what le male edp should have smelled like. There's a fragrance by bogart which gives off the minty vibe of le male.
bought yesterday Le Male again, had 4 large bottles of Ultramale, but kind off tired so back to the original...and outdated is so an ugly word ...btw I have 350 bottles, and always come back to my JPG fragrances....Tanks for te very good review !!
I get this cheap aquatic note in le male that I don't like. I think the eau fraiche version is the best in the line. With more sprays it can be worn to the club as the sillage gets quite potent and sweet. Or it can be a playful day scent with less sprays. I really don't fell like reflection man is all too similar to le male. It's more metallic, spicy and woody IMO. The lavender smells of much higher quality as well
I smelled Reflection Man the other day and it reminded me of something, then I realized it was reminding me of Le Male from back in the day. Then I searched UA-cam and realized there are videos comparing Le Male to Reflection Man. I think my nose is getting more refined the more I go into this fragrance hobby --- super fun and great video thanks! I did notice though going to the mall, that the actual version of Le Male original doesn't really smell the same as I remember and Reflection Man smells much more like it! I didn't know that about Dua Man by Dua Fragrances so going to check that out as well as I know Chris from Fragmental is a Le Male expert as it was his signature fragrance for years! I love Le male sooooooo much. It's without a doubt my favorite fragrance out there . Sadly it doesn't last ,so I have to keep a travel decanter to respray every couple hours. Also my 125ml bottle is getting quite low so I just purchased a 200ml . Upon trying the 200ml bottle it smelled a bit different and weaker. Upon investigation I discovered the 125 ml was made in France and the 200ml in Spain. Do you or anyone else reading have any thoughts of experience with this? Im quite upset over it tbh... Seems everytime I buy a new fragrance these days they're always weaker and a bit different. Very frustrating.

Instead of Ultra Male get 9PM BY Afnan, a true beast mode fragrances lasts all day and on clothes forever. Instead of Le Male the obvious alternative is Reflection Man however it has to be a vintage version made in Oman but it you want a great cheap version that is better than Le Male and Reflection Man's current formulation then pick up Khadlaj Shiyaaka for him
I will say the Milton Llyod "Bondage" if sprayed correctly smells like the old one, but people spray it like deodorant. I prefer it to the reformulated version. The dupe is actually better. Lets be real though #davidoff and #ralphlauren were way ahead of this guy. The orginal ,#poloblue and #coolwater opened everything up, also #Tommyhilfiger, and #dolcegabanna
Jpg la parfum is horrible. It smells cheap far too sweet , there's a lot of cardamom and synthetic coumarin fragrances on the market these days. Axis elegant blue is £10 and smells just like la male parfum . I don't think la male EDT has changed that much it's still a great fragrance.
From what I gather; popeye, Superman and Andre are the same fragrance. Maybe they got reformulated but they’re marketed as the same fragrance, “Le Male Eau Fraiche”Plus they’re all discontinued.

spain one was made by PUIG, and france one was made by BPI. puig is the reason why many fragrances get worse performance

Instead of Ultra Male get 9PM BY Afnan, a true beast mode fragrances lasts all day and on clothes forever. Instead of Le Male the obvious alternative is Reflection Man however it has to be a vintage version made in Oman but it you want a great cheap version that is better than Le Male and Reflection Man's current formulation then pick up Khadlaj Shiyaaka for him

I will say the Milton Llyod "Bondage" if sprayed correctly smells like the old one, but people spray it like deodorant. I prefer it to the reformulated version. The dupe is actually better. Lets be real though #davidoff and #ralphlauren were way ahead of this guy. The orginal ,#poloblue and #coolwater opened everything up, also #Tommyhilfiger, and #dolcegabanna

Jpg la parfum is horrible. It smells cheap far too sweet , there's a lot of cardamom and synthetic coumarin fragrances on the market these days. Axis elegant blue is £10 and smells just like la male parfum . I don't think la male EDT has changed that much it's still a great fragrance.

Have you smelled Popeye edition? I heard the new Andre edition is similar. What do you think about Popeye or Andre?
From what I gather; popeye, Superman and Andre are the same fragrance. Maybe they got reformulated but they’re marketed as the same fragrance, “Le Male Eau Fraiche”Plus they’re all discontinued.

Only reason I didn't buy it is because I already around ten different fragrances. People Le Male smells Popeye and Superman. To me it didn't. Because the one time I did test Popeye at Macy's it smelled a lot better to me. Is it true the original Le Male smells like Popeye? When I went back couple years later. Macy's people told me Superman and Popeye has been discontinued. I don't know why I liked Popeye, but didn't like the original Le Male
