Blue-chip stocks are relatively safer. But I would suggest a fixed income fund instead of the stock market if you're looking for a conservative investment.

Thank you for pointing this out. It does need clarification.
To be eligible for MP2, you must be an active Pag-IBIG Fund member, which a retiree is probably not anymore.
On the other hand, former Pag-IBIG Fund Members must have a monthly income source (at least P5,000 from when I last checked) to be eligible. Which for retirees mean they must be receiving pension, either from their former employer or from SSS.
Lack of a source of income or receiving no pension, is the factor that could make you no longer eligible for saving in MP2. And I've met several retirees like this, especially former OFWs who have settled down back in the country and are now just living on allowance or from informal income sources.
However, I will clarify with my contact in Pag-IBIG fund because there might already be changes regarding this since I last got an update from her on MP2 last 2018.
@@ReadyToBeRichYT From what i got from Pag-Ibig, anyone who is a member, former member, kahit retirees, PWEDE mag invest sa MP2 as long as ma-reactivate ulit yung account. I started investing last year and supposed to open another one this year kaso stranded pa kc dahil sa covid... Ang di ko natanong ay kung ilang accounts ang allowed. Kc ang plano ko sana, mag invest every 6 months compounded para pagdating ng maturity, may passive income akong makukuha every 6 months at very low or negligible risk. So in 5 years, 10 accounts lahat yun. Gusto ko malaman kung pwede...
@@theBukolKing pwede un sir, ladder strategy un. at tama ka kahit retirees pwede. every year mag open ka one new account, so magkakaroon ka ng 5 accounts, after the 5th year withdraw your first account, pwede mo kunin ang dividend for your use, or reinvest again all in a 6th account. pwede na rin online ang opening.
