Food at the RAOHE NIGHT MARKET in Taipei - Best Market for Taipei Street Food!

- We are in Taipei, Taiwan at the Raohe Street Night Market (饒河街觀光夜市) on a beautiful Friday evening. The Raohe Night Market is one of the oldest night markets in Songshan District. To get here we have taken the Taipei Metro to Songshan MRT Station which is a short walk from this Taipei Night Market! Once you emerge from the MRT Station, just follow the signs towards the market. You cannot miss the huge entrance gate to the Raohe Street Night Market or the huge Ciyou Temple (慈祐宮) located right next to the market entrance.
This market is the place to find traditional Taiwanese Street Food, Chinese Street Food and even some western foods. We came to this market to find Taipei Must Eat Foods and we were not disappointed, this 600 meter long Night Market offers street foods to all tastes and nationalities. We enjoyed so many typical delicious Taipei Eats as we made our way through the market.
We really enjoyed visiting the Raohe Night Market in Taipei and based on what we have heard this Night Market is considered one of the best Taipei Night Markets to find Taipei Street food. When you travel to Taipei, be sure to add the Raohe Street Night Market to your itinerary of Taipei Top Attractions to visit.
Wiki writes about the Raohe Street Night Market, " The Raohe Night Market (Chinese: 饒河街觀光夜市) is one of the oldest night markets in Songshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. It is located on Raohe Street and is about 600 meters long. The Ciyou Temple is just past the east end of the market. The night market is accessible within walking distance north of Songshan Station of Taipei Metro. If you're coming from the blue line metro station Raohe Night Market is also accessible from HouShanPi MRT station via a short 5 minute walk..."

What a lovely market and what’s clearly visible is how clean it is ,
Wow that’s one spotless place and very friendly people
As we have said before Taipei and Kuala Lumpur are up until now our two favorite Asian cities! We cannot wait to get back again some time in the future to see more. This was just one of many night markets. We also noticed how clean everything was in central Taipei where we spent time (you should see how clean the Metro is), we in Europe could learn something here! Hi guys, what a great video. Now this reminds me what I have been missing all of my life. I can't wait to go back home to visit. I know that there are a lot of things that you are unsure of, such as the two hot dogs together. Well the white ones is a stick rice dog, which is full of flavored rice and the other meat is Taiwanese sausages. They are really good together. My plan is to visit later on this year or beginning of next year. If you all will like me to explain and translate as well as to show you two around do not hesitate to message me on here. I am so glad I read your tag line before watching this video. I watched it while eating breakfast so I didn't feel so hungry seeing all those food booths. you may buy one drink for 2 or 2.5 us dollars. you also can spend 2 to 3 us dollars for each little different food. there are some sit down restaurants at the night market and one meal may cost around 6~10 us dollars. you can find some better restaurants around each metro station and cost 10~20 us dollars.(including 10% tax)

I have a real wish to visit Taipei do you think 7-10 days would be enough to get around and visit places and also what area should I really want to be looking at for a hotel with good walking and links to everywhere but also a bit quieter at night lol we’re not 18 anymore many thanks
Hello again to Mr and Mrs Watford, lovely to hear from you again! We can highly recommend a trip to Taipei, we loved it there! We were there for around 9 days and that time was far too short, next time we visit it will be for 3 weeks, but then we will also travel down the coast - there is so much to see in Taiwan! We think that 7-10 days will be good for Taipei as you probably will not have to spend as much time as we do in each place filming and taking photos (it takes a lot of time). Just be sure to make a realistic Travel Itinerary, meaning don´t cram too many activities into a day otherwise you will not have time to enjoy each place you visit, we are sure you know what we mean. As Regards where to stay: We stayed in the Zongshan District at the Regent Hotel and loved it! Easy walk to the MRT, clean area and quite, we are not that young either, our plan is normally early to bed and early awake! ;-) Hope that gives a little input, we will be uploading more of our Taipei vids in August! Your question is quite difficult to answer and after a great deal of thought here is our take! We loved both cities equally, both are unique, have lovely people, amazing food and so much to see - If we had to make a choice we would choose the one that had the best weather (That appeals to us) during the planned travel time!
