Less touristy night market in Taipei will be Raohe (crispy pepper baked pie soooo good!) and Ningxia ~ but during the international travel ban period I think Shilin is okay too (?!)

The oyster mushrooms store is usually jam-packed. It is outside one of my favorite Birkenstock stores.
There are also local restaurants in the basement. I have tried one of the best oyster omelets there. Every time I'm in Shilin Night Market, I directly go straight to that local resto in the basement.
I also strongly agree that where the line is, it is really good food, especially when locals are the ones lining up.
I can't wait for the next sightseeing video in Taipei.

The largest night market in Taiwan is the Feng Jia Night Market in Taichung city. Anyway, Raohe night market in Taipei is another night market worth to try.
OMG! You found the awesome small shuijianbao shop near Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station! If it's the one on Andong Street, just north of Zhongxiao East Road--I love that place! Guy

1) you can take subway to the zoo to see Panda
2) subway to Dansui
(River, sea, food , foot massage)
3) bus 260 to Yangming mountain
4) subway to Briton to have hot spring bath...
I missed my favorite! Deep-Fried Ice cream. And you should have gone to B1, which is the actual food court area of Shilin Night Market.

When ordering bbt in Taiwan, you can customise your drink without any surcharge. so don’t forget to adjust the ice and sugar level next time before ordering, 0/25/50/75/100%. Also, Ching Shin Fu Chuen has bigger selection in tea drinks; while tiger sugar is well known for their signature brown sugar bubble milk drink ( without tea ). It could be the reason why you think CSFC’s bbt tastes better. Anyhow my all time favorite is Chun Shui Tang (春水堂), they also offer some tasty taiwan traditional dishes to go with. Give it a try if you run out of option for dinner next time ! Enjoy 😋

I like mushroom 🍄 tepan yaki! You guys can go to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to walk after Shilin night market. Your house very close to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. By the way, 忠孝東路216巷have a ice store (東區粉圓）also close to your house. I like their ice(Taiwan’s style).
not sure if you have tried custard apple (Shi-Chia). this is a very special fruit and the season is very short. It's the season now and really worthy to try (please buy in local farmer's market and eat it when it's turning to very soft)

I love watching your videos. There's one more thing you should definitely try at the night market. A foot massage. The price is very affordable. Have a foot massage at the end of your night market journey and you'll feel so relaxed and light.

Because of the pandemic, Shihlin Night Market(a business district for food, groceries, clothing and accessories) has fallen for several months. It's still a good place to try some new flavors, but not as crazy-crowded as before.

台灣漸漸開始鬆散了呢，之前各個影片看到小吃店家每個都口罩戴好，給人一種安心感，甚至覺得沒疫情的時候也應該要這樣帶著，但現在大部分小吃店家都不戴口罩了...個人覺得很不好，路人倒是無所謂，但他們是在賣吃的啊!!

我覺得黑糖珍奶比較好吃的是鹿角巷，比老虎堂好吃多了，因為上次在微風廣場連續喝兩杯之下的感想⋯⋯
其實大家喜歡的口味都不太一樣，而且一直喝同一家很容易味覺疲乏。突然換了一種感覺又變了。這都會影響。
喝飲料26年的經驗，從休閒小站跟茶坊開始。
真的大家口味不太一樣耶 清心不是我珍奶首選，已經好幾年沒踏進去了， 看完這影片有點顛覆我價值觀， 等等也去買杯試試

the Hotstar is definitely not the best to try. We live in Germany and have been vacaying in Taiwan for the last 4 yrs. Sometimes twice a year., and we always get the chicken from the Hometown BBQ chicken cart at the top of the market. You can't miss it they have the longest que in the market ALL NIGHT. Try it if you don't like it better than I'll pay for it and you MRT trip. We are living vicariously thru your vids until we can get back to Taiwan. Cheers

I suggest you may take 1 or 2 days tour to Jufen/Jinguashi. It is not far from Taipei.

I am a Taiwanese, who have been living in the UK for 12 yrs. I suspect the meaning of Good stuff! Typical Britons would illustrate it as alcohol, cigarette, party drugs, etc but I can feel the satisfaction from you. Every Monday morning, my colleagues would demonstrate their weekends' activities. They don't have any idea about one of Taiwanese activities as night market eating, which sometimes can be a game, a hobby, etc. Even my father gave me an instruction how to win the eating game in night market when I was a child.
In addition, from your accent, both of you come from Cambridge area. I hope I am not far from the truth.

Looks like you didn't try the black pepper buns before in the night market. It's like pork bun with strong pepper and they stick it inside the walls of the barrier to bake it. You got to try.
